This book was released on 2019-01-19 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Essence of Inquiry” contains Sri Ramana Maharshi’s earliest recorded teaching, Self-Inquiry, and a commentary on this scared scripture for the spiritual benefit of the seekers. The text, Self-Inquiry, chronicles the profound dialogues from 1900 to 1902 between Sri Ramana Maharshi and an ardent seeker of truth, Gambhiram Seshiar. This text is a sacred scripture, for a scripture represents a direct revelation of the Truth free of mental conceptions. Bhagavan’s teaching, when placed in printed words, is certainly scripture, for its significance is Truth transcending the words or thoughts utilized for its expression. The commentary helps in understanding the true import of Sri Ramana’s words and is singularly focused on Self-Knowledge and Self-Inquiry. From the Introduction: “One who approaches this sacred scripture with deep devotion and a sincere desire to realize the Self, and who, blessed by His Grace, practices in accordance with the wisdom herein elucidated, will doubtlessly realize the sole-existent Self, the nondual Brahman, and abide as That, of the nature of undifferentiated Being-Consciousness-Bliss.” From the foreword by late Sri A.R. Natarajan, President of Ramana Maharshi Center for Learning:“To write a commentary on the sacred words of Ramana, one has to be constantly perceptive of this ever-flowing grace. It is evident that Master Nome has this perception. The humility with which he has approached this holy work is found in his beginning each commentary with the all powerful twelve word mantra on Ramana “Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Ramanaya”. He closes each commentary with “Ramanarpanamastu – may this be an offering to Ramana”. And what worthy offering it is. With his own experience of the natural state, Nome is able to explain the true import of Ramana’s word with utmost clarity and depth. .. Nome writes not from book knowledge but from experience. This is so from question one to question forty. There is no false note, no wavering of understanding.”

This book was released on 2011-05-29 with total page 74 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Upadesa Sarah (Upadesa Saram) by Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. Translated with Commentary by Nome. Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi, abiding in the eternal Silence of the Self, composed The Essence of Spiritual Instruction for the supreme good of all in response to the supplications of the devoted Muruganar. The poet-devotee was writing in Tamil the story of the wayward rishis who dwelled in the Daruka forest and practiced rites for the attainment of powers that they desired. Their egos humbled by Siva and perceiving the error of their approach, they humbly sought spiritual instruction from Siva. Siva graciously bestowed the instruction, and it is these teachings that Muruganar requested Sri Bhagavan, Siva himself, to reveal in verse form. So, the Maharshi composed thirty verses in Tamil. Later, Sri Bhagavan translated them into Sanskrit. The Tamil version is entitled Upadesa Undiyar, and the Sanskrit version is entitled Upadesa Sarah and is also referred to as Upadesa Saram. This work is the English translation of the Sanskrit Upadesa Sarah. With each verse there is a ten-point commentary emphasizing the profound significance of the verse for those practicing Self-inquiry in the quest of nondual Self-Knowledge. An appendix that contains just the Sanskrit text with transliteration is included for ease of recitation and similar purposes.

Book Synopsis The Seven Steps to Awakening by : Ramana Maharshi
Download or read book The Seven Steps to Awakening written by Ramana Maharshi and published by . This book was released on 2010 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Seven Steps to Awakening is the most powerful collection of quotes ever assembled on the subject of how to directly experience the true Self whose nature is Infinite-Eternal-Awareness-Love-Bliss and how to bring the impostor self, its tricks and all suffering to a final end in this lifetime. Most books on the subject of Self-realization are written by those who have only conceptual knowledge and no direct experience of the infinite Self. All seven of the sages quoted in The Seven Steps to Awakening lived in the infinite and their knowledge came from their direct experience of the infinite Self. The quotes in The Seven Steps to Awakening are doorways to liberation and a loving transmission from the Infinite Self to you. When the impostor self attempts to derail you from your journey to Awakening, reading the quotes in The Seven Steps to Awakening can inspire and encourage you to get back on track. Only the most essential and most powerful quotes that have no distractions or detours were selected for The Seven Steps to Awakening. The first collection of quotes describes how to tell the difference between a conceptual journey and a journey to Awakening. The second points out that the world, etc. is a dreamlike illusion. The third reveals why it is necessary to bring the impostor self to its final end. The fourth is about the importance of increasing your desire for liberation. The fifth is for the purpose of encouraging, inspiring and motivating you to actually practice all seven steps. The sixth is about turning your attention inward. The seventh describes the most rapid, direct and effective method that brings the impostor self, its tricks and all suffering to their final end so that you can remain forever in the true Self whose nature is Infinite-Awareness-Love-Bliss.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Translated from the original Sanskrit by Dr. H. Ramamoorthy and Nome This translation is an essential and classic work of Advaita Vedanta. It is a consummate work of the spirit, an astonishing description of direct Nondual experience and understanding. H.H. Sri Chandrasekharendra Sarasvati, a Sankaracharya of the Kamakoti Peetham, has stated in glowing terms that the "Ribhu Gita" is to the Sivarahasya as the "Bhagavad Gita" is to the Mahabharata. First-hand descriptions of the experience of Nonduality are precious and rare. None is more powerful than this classic. Its uncompromising declaration communicates the uninterrupted direct experience of the Sage known as Ribhu. The language is accessible, forceful -- and points clearly beyond the limits of time and circumstance. The Indian cultural frame, traditional dialog between Guru and disciple, is subsumed into the directly penetrating insight that is absolute, beyond any concept. In this second edition, footnotes have been added presenting alternative meanings to the word or phrase immediately preceding the footnote number or show the Sanskrit word in transliterated form that has been translated into English. This second edition also contains an enhanced glossary from the original first edition. In addition, The 108 Names of Ribhu, in Sanskrit and English, is included in this new edition. May we all recognize in this text the freedom and happiness of the Absolute, our True Nature, as reflected in the words of the great Sage Ribhu!
