Book excerpt: La catégorie des troubles envahissants du développement sans déficience intellectuelle voit sa proportion d’individu régulièrement augmenter depuis les années 1980. Cependant, malgré une amélioration possible de la symptomatologie avec l’âge, leur handicap fonctionnel persiste et serait lié en grande partie au trouble des interactions sociales. Dans le cadre des TED sans déficience intellectuelle, l’amélioration des habiletés sociales apparait donc comme un objectif prioritaire de prise en charge. Peu de propositions d’interventions sont aujourd’hui disponibles et validées dans cette indication. Nous avons mis au point une intervention ciblant l’amélioration des habiletés sociales à partir de l’analyse de séquences vidéo. Le but de cette intervention est de favoriser la communication à l’intérieur du groupe, le partage d’intérêt et d’émotions, et d’améliorer la compréhension des situations sociales. Il s’agit d’une étude prospective, ouverte et non contrôlée. L’objectif principal est d’évaluer l’effet immédiat de notre intervention sur un des aspects des habiletés sociales : les habiletés de communication. Les objectifs secondaires sont d’évaluer les effets sur l’adaptation sociale et la qualité de vie des sujets. Résultats : Il existe une progression statistiquement significative des habiletés de communication dans le groupe, en famille et à l’école. L’évaluation du comportement socio-adaptatif indique une progression statistiquement significative en communication, autonomies familiale et sociale, et en loisirs. L’évaluation de la qualité de vie ne montre pas d’évolution statistique mais permet de dégager certains facteurs l’influençant. Les résultats de notre étude sont satisfaisants et concordants avec les constatations cliniques. Cependant, il existe des limites méthodologiques liées notamment à l’absence de groupe témoin. Toutefois, il s’agit d’un travail intéressant car il dégage des applications cliniques : utilisation de l’outil vidéo, dépistage des comorbidités psychiatriques, ou encore attention accordée aux événements de vie. Conclusion : Ce type de prise en charge apparait comme une voie de recherche très intéressante pour les sujets présentant un TED sans déficience intellectuelle. Les premiers résultats sont satisfaisants et l’ensemble des participants éprouve beaucoup de plaisir à participer aux séances. Ces éléments de conclusion nous encouragent à continuer de proposer cette intervention et à poursuivre les recherches en améliorant la méthodologie.

Méthodologie : Afin de recueillir la perception des adolescents avec un TSA, une étude qualitative a été menée à partir d'entretiens formels et d'observations réalisés lors d'une intervention (quatre séances de groupe cuisine), ainsi qu'à partir d'entretiens semi-dirigés auprès de trois adolescents, âgés de 16 à 18 ans .Résultats : Les résultats mettent en avant le fait que le groupe cuisine a permis d'exercer les habiletés sociales, notamment en initiant des conversations, en posant des questions, en répondant à des questions et en faisant des blagues, toujours en lien avec la recette à réaliser. Les résultats ont également permis d'identifier que le setting influence les interactions entre les participants et qu'il peut se révéler être un facilitateur ou un obstacle aux échanges. Des pistes d'amélioration pour une future mise en place d'un groupe cuisine auprès d'adolescents avec un TSA sont également proposées dans ce travail." [Résumé des auteures]
