Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All near-death experiences (NDEs) change people’s lives for the better. Those affected became enlightened. Humanity worldwide thirsts for spiritualism to become enlightened. It is written in our DNA; it is mankind’s birthright and the next evolution of mankind. Enlightenment can be achieved by all who wish to experience the exhilarating intoxication of being one with the universe. NDE is not necessary to become enlightened. Practicing the principles of the right path with trance meditation activates intuition, causing enlightenment by the superconscious mind to know and be guided through our mission in life. In the past, this was called the flash of genius responsible for the advancement of the sciences and math. Today strife reigns on Earth. Our civilization must evolve to overcome extinctions and escape the fate of previous civilizations. Technology has caught up with spiritualism, and quantum physics has objectively documented global EM bio-rhythmic changes, during global events such as 9/11 and Princess Dianna’s death. This is the global consciousness compiled by the 7.4 billion people on Earth. Global change is inevitable, as is the next human evolution, and the new era of enlightenment is now. This guide offers individual, inspirational, spiritual and thought-provoking concepts for the global citizen.

Book excerpt: Celebrating 25 Years as a New York Times Bestseller — Over 16 Million Copies Sold It’s no wonder that The Power of Now has sold over 16 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 foreign languages. Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light. In the first chapter, Tolle introduces readers to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind. He awakens readers to their role as a creator of pain and shows them how to have a pain-free identity by living fully in the present. The journey is thrilling, and along the way, the author shows how to connect to the indestructible essence of our Being, “the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Featuring a new preface by the author, this paperback shows that only after regaining awareness of Being, liberated from Mind and intensely in the Now, is there Enlightenment.

The study focuses on the most important Prussian military reformer--Gerhard Johann David von Scharnhorst, who in 1801 founded the Militarische Gesellschaft (Military Society) in Berlin. The Gesellschaft became the focal point for the transformation of the Prussian army from a robotic war machine into a modern fighting force that was instrumental in defeating Napolean in 1813 and in 1815. The author examines the following elements of this military society: its membership; the specifics of its agenda; the intellect, imagination, and habits of thought, reflection, and objective analysis of its members; Scharnhorst's particular contributions.

Book Synopsis Abhidharmakosa-Bhasya of Vasubandhu by : Gelong Lodro Sangpo
Download or read book Abhidharmakosa-Bhasya of Vasubandhu written by Gelong Lodro Sangpo and published by Motilal Banarsidass. This book was released on 2012-01-01 with total page 667 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Vasubandhu's Abhidharmakosa-Bhasya (ca. 380-390), besides its culminating achievement in streamlining the overall structure of the exposition of the preceding Abhidharma manuals, is unmatched by any of the preceding manuals in respect of its comprehensiveness-incorporating all important Vaibhasika doctrines since the time of the Abhidharma-mahavibhasa-of its excellent skill in definition and elucidation, and of its ability to clarify the difficult point involved in doctrinal disputations. Added to these qualities is its great value as a brilliant critique and insightful revaluation of all the fundamental Sar-vastivada doctrines developed up to its time. Since its appearance, it has been used as a standard textbook for the understanding of not only the Abhidharma doctrines but all the fundamental Buddhist doctrines in general. Translated into Chinese by Paramartha in 563 A.D. and by Hsuan-tsang in 651-654 A.D., Hsuan-tsang's disciple P'u-kuang tells us that in India the Abhidharmakosa-Bhasya was hailed as the 'Book of Intelligence'. In China, Japan and the Far-east, too, the Kosa has generally been highly treasured as a textbook of fundamental importance for Buddhist studies. Vasubandhu's brilliant critique of the doctrines of the Vaibhasika was answered by the equally brilliant Samghabhadra - a contemporary staunch defender and expounder of the doctrines of the Vaibhasikas - in his masterwork, the Abhidharmanyayanusara, now extant only in Hsuan-tsang's translation (653-654 A.D.). The Sanskrit text, considered for a long time to be irremediably lost, was discovered by Rahula Samkrtyayana in 1935 in the Tibetan monastery of Ngor and was published by P. Pradhan in 1967 (1st edition).

Book Synopsis This Strange Eventful History by : Paul Bradley
Download or read book This Strange Eventful History written by Paul Bradley and published by Algora Publishing. This book was released on 2011 with total page 198 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All of us must seek at a personal and a general level for a philosophy of meaning in life, "this strange eventful history," to borrow a descriptive phrase for our existence from Shakespeare. A sense of meaning is essential for peace of mind, yet meaning may appear elusive in our present-day divided world. This book sets out to survey our options concisely, drawing on philosophy, religion, science and art, across the gamut from classical philosophers to atheists, mystics, sensualists, agnostics, primatologists, neuroscientists, Unifaith believers, Interfaith, Multifaith and lastly Transfaith, to seek a religious attitude freed from myth and magic. A new concept of intelligent design is examined, linked with Panspermia, independent of the concept of anthropomorphic creation. Each chapter draws on the opinions of two (or more) prominent inter-related thinkers, including Sartre, Foucault, and Frankl, Freud and Richard Dawkins, Carl Jung and Mircea Eliade, the Greeks and the Buddha, Van Gogh and Gauguin, and many others, to help us form an opinion, often provocatively, with no holds barred! The stimulating inter-relationship between these stars steers us on a path towards a viewpoint of Cosmic Compassionate Plurality. The Existentialist philosophers cautioned that life is essentially meaningless - but they allowed that we may choose ourselves. Certainly, our choices are many and various in this current era. Often, however, we bemoan the lack of time to read and research those possibilities. This book sets out to provide the needed background material.
