Book excerpt: Biography of Thomas Blanck who was one of America's most dangerous gunmen. The book portrays the western gunslinger as he really was, a psychopathic killer. Blanck was not the romanticized, stereotypical gunman of the Old West. He was an extremely dangerous, remorseless, antisocial, psychopathic killer. And yet, when he was caught and put on trial, he actually gained the idolization bestowed upon the fictionalized desperadoes of western movies. While Blanck had none of the redeeming qualities portrayed by Hollywood's gunslingers, his life story is just as dramatic as any celluloid scenario. The first part of the story begins with a brief look at Blanck's childhood in New York and follows him as he makes his way to the Pacific Northwest and takes a few lives in the process. The second part describes his capture and subsequent trial for first-degree murder. The third part of the story focuses on his escape and the ensuing manhunt. Part four depicts the final part of Blanck's life and death. Lastly, there is a psychological assessment of the cold-blooded killer. Thomas Blanck was said to be able to shoot the center out of a dime at thirty feet. But he was no romanticized, stereotypical gunman of the Old West. He was an extremely dangerous, antisocial, remorseless killer. And, yet, when Blanck was caught and put on trial, he actually gained the idolization bestowed upon the fictionalized desperadoes of western movies. While the young man had none of the redeeming qualities portrayed by Hollywood's gunslingers, his life story is just as dramatic as any celluloid scenario. Cold Lead: The Life, Times and Death of 1890s Killer Tom Blanck is a fascinating account of the life of one of America's most dangerous gunmen. But more than just a history of the man, the book presents the political, social and economic conditions that were present in the U.S. at that time, and the author puts forward various factors that may have contributed to the events that occurred-not only Blanck's actions, but also the resulting public reaction. Blanck was a petty thief specializing in burglary and robbing saloons, and he would kill anyone, anytime, under any circumstances in order to carry out his deeds. The first part of the story begins by introducing readers to the man and takes a brief look at his childhood in New York. It follows the outlaw as he makes his way west to the Pacific Northwest and takes a few lives in the process. The second part describes his capture and subsequent trial for first-degree murder. In this section particularly, the book gives readers a closer look into the behavior and psychology of the killer through numerous newspaper accounts and quotes from people involved with the story at the time. The third part of the story focuses on his escape and the ensuing chase and capture, one of the greatest manhunts on record. Part four depicts the final part of Blanck's story-his death and burial, which isn't exactly straightforward. Lastly, there is a psychological assessment of the cold-blooded killer. The book also includes a foreword, preface, introduction, epilogue, endnotes, bibliography and index.

Book excerpt: For over thirty years, two New York State brothers, Robert and Paul Bartholomew, have methodically researched, documented, and studied the Bigfoot question in both New York and the New England states. Does a hulking 7-foot-tall humanlike creature, unrecognized by science, roam the green, fertile valleys and lush forests of New York and New England? Common sense tells us this is hardly possible ? especially in the 21st Century. Nevertheless, we have a conundrum: how do we explain the hundreds of credible eyewitness accounts of such a creature that date back to native Indian lore and early European settlement? Commonly known as ?Bigfoot? in the United States, and ?Sasquatch? in Canada, this creature has become the greatest mystery in North America. For over thirty years, two New York State brothers, Robert and Paul Bartholomew, have methodically researched, documented, and studied the Bigfoot question in both New York and the New England states. They have traveled extensively in these regions in a passionate quest to discover the truth behind the mystery. In this volume, Robert and Paul present the full history of the creature in New York and New England together with their analysis and conclusions. DOES BIGFOOT EXIST? The evidence presented here provides astounding new insights into this age-old question.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The encounters and sightings in "Sasquatch Encounters" have never been published in print or online before! These incidents came to us from many states and they are in the words of those who met the Bigfoot. The events and sightings in this book include a well-accredited professor of anthropology offering his confirmation of the probability of the existence of these creatures and a fellow professor who had an actual encounter with Sasquatch before he ever met the other doctor. The encounter by Evel Knievel's father as was told to the author by his personal friend, Nic Knievel, brother of the famed motorcycle stuntman. Al Capone's shooting incident was found in a very old article that was prepared for printing in the Chicago Sun Times newspaper, but for reasons unknown was never submitted. Possibly due to fear of retaliation by the Capone gang. There are several incidents that came from the personal journals of early gold miners that were submitted by their descendants; proof that the Bigfoot has been there all along. We did not start out belonging to the Bigfoot believers camp, but as we were researching for our hiking book, "Hiking Sasquatch Country: Tails and Trails in Bigfoot's Backyard," we had some incidents that we couldn't explain until we came in contact with people in our Southern Oregon home that were able to shed light on our mysterious adventures, and it made Sasquatch more than just theory. Neither of us had before lived outside larger cities, and we found profound enjoyment in hiking, so we felt that a detailed hiking book would enable others to enjoy what we had. Then, after meeting so many people who had also had close encounters with the mysterious Sasquatch, we decided to collect these experiences to add to our book. The authors of these happenings are from all over the U.S., and it is amazing how much similarity there is in the descriptions of our mysterious Sasquatch, which certainly lends credence to the existence of this wild being that seems to have the same senses of hearing and seeing as humans, however magnified a hundred times. Welcome to Bigfoot country!

Download or read book Bigfoot written by Tom King and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-08-07 with total page 60 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many people across the world believe in an ape-like humanoid creature who is covered with hair and walks on two legs. Those who claim to have seen this creature generally say that he has reddish-brown hair, is approximately seven to 10 feet tall, has a conical-shaped head, emits a powerfully obnoxious stench, and has enormous, human-like feet. In the United States, this creature is known as the Sasquatch or Bigfoot. He is attested to in Native American myths and legends that speak of giants, as well as in eyewitness accounts that predate the birth of the country. Bigfoot has relatives all across the world. In the Himalayan countries of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, the local people believe in and even revere a creature that they call the Yeti, known to many Westerners as the Abominable Snowman. Many Chinese believe in the Yeren, or Wild Man, who is said to inhabit mountainous areas of the country. The Yowie is attested to by the aborigines of Australia, and the Orang Pendek (or short man) is believed to live on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. The fact that so many cultures attest to the existence of an ape-like bipedal humanoid who lives on the outskirts of society is seen by many as evidence that such a creature does, in fact, exist. Bigfoot is generally believed by the scientific community to be something known as a cryptid, or a legendary animal whose existence has not been proven. However, thousands of people every year claim to see the creature known as Bigfoot. The number of eyewitnesses grows each year as more and more people profess to have seen Bigfoot Some have presented photographic and video evidence of him, and some have even given hair, skin, and other DNA samples! Still, there is no consensus between the scientific community and Bigfoot eyewitnesses as to whether or not the creature actually does exist. If you are reading this, you are probably interested in Bigfoot and want to know more about the mysterious creature. Maybe you have had an eyewitness encounter with the beast yourself or want to visit an area known to be inhabited by Bigfoot in the hopes of seeing the elusive creature. You are not alone. People all over the world are searching for their own opportunity to see him. This book contains valuable, easy-to-understand information about the cryptid, including what he is and different theories - some more believable than others - that attempt to explain his existence. It talks about early Native American stories about Bigfoot as well as the role that he played in the people's spiritual life. From there, it discusses numerous Bigfoot sightings across the United States, including Alaska, as well as some in Canada. It also contains information about other cryptids, such as the Loch Ness monster, Yeti, and the giant squid. By the time you finish this book, you will have gained immense knowledge about the creature known as Bigfoot. If you are a sideline believer, unsure of whether or not he actually does exist, you will surely have come to your own opinion by the time you finish reading. Hopefully, this book will make a believer out of you. It may even lead you to seek out Bigfoot for yourself. Scroll to the top of the page and click Add To Cart to learn more

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What's hiding in the woods of Vermont? Paranormal researcher and former private investigator Jason Lorefice has spent over 10 years investigating the strange, the bizarre, and the unexplained. Not widely acknowledged, the Green Mountain state has been home to a population of large hairy hominids we most commonly refer to today as "Bigfoot" or "Sasquatch." In his quest, Lorefice has investigated and documented several dozen cases of eyewitness accounts of mysterious hairy bipedal creatures that roam our Green Mountains. Reports of these Sasquatch creatures are nothing new to the state of Vermont. In early times, English settlers describe experiencing such creatures in the night with glowing red eyes and ear piercing screams. Eyewitness accounts date far back as the 1800's where some residents of Bennington describe their encounters with the "Bennington Monster." It's in the Glastenbury Mountains where 7 people have mysteriously vanished under very strange circumstances. Who or what is to blame for these mysterious disappearances? There's never any shortage of theories. Lorefice gives us plenty of evidence suggesting that Bigfoot is more than just an urban legend.

Book excerpt: This collection of Sasquatch encounters includes several reports that took longer than usual to complete, due to additional correspondence to confirm through additional witnesses and other sources; some heretofore unreported instances of questionable relationships between our story submitters' and their Bigfoot acquaintances. An example of the necessity we felt to confirm some of the more unusual reports, was the person who purchased a rural property and from the outset, he experienced an encounter with some resident Sasquatch which was quite unpleasant. According to the submitter, he was pestered and harassed by these creatures until it came down to a violent confrontation causing him to use a firearm. There were no injuries, but he learned too late how to relate to these resident Sasquatch and he sold the home and property and returned to the city. Another couple had back-to-back encounters with Sasquatch and they report how the clever Bigfoot actually changed their methods of disguising their presence, by using tree branches to erase their own tracks to their secret fishing hole in the Washington state mountains. Forced to abandon their second excursion by a sudden forest fire, our reports had the experience of a lifetime. Another submitter inherited a lakeshore cabin in Michigan, and once again was reunited with Sasquatch he had first met as a child when visiting his grandfather. Both human and Sasquatch were reunited over the gravesite of the grandfather's golden Labrador companion, whom both human and Sasquatch shared memories. This collection seems to share a common thread of closer involvement between species than most, and even though the research required more checks and balances, we thoroughly enjoyed sharing our submitters' excitement.

Book excerpt: Do you believe in Bigfoot? Or are you one of them people who snicker every time you hear the subject mentioned? There is no in between! You either believe in the Big Hairy Man or you dont. The author of this book not only believes but is also willing to stake his name and reputation on it as well. In this book entitled The Ohio Monster, be prepared to set aside your personal beliefs and take a closer look at the circumstances surrounding the authors encounters with the creature. Skeptics will be hard-pressed to rationalize away the belief that this could be nothing more than a man dressed in a monkey suit out to play tricks on somebody. Hailing from the backwoods of the State of Ohio, the author came face-to-face at an early age with his greatest feara large hairy monster! For the longest time, he tried his best to keep away from the Thing, as he called it, but he simply couldnt outrun destiny. Now with the passage of time, he feels the thing (Bigfoot) may have singled him out (continued to appear to him) because he knew that one day this man would end up defending him. Crazy, right? Well, welcome to the world of the supernatural, where everythings possible. Its a world wherein the elites of science cannot prove or disprove these kind of things. Its a world where the average citizen is encouraged to think for themselves without the added baggage of the scientific world telling them otherwise. No body or bones to prove Bigfoot exists? No problem! With a thousand or more verifiable sighting reports within the last fifty years or so, somebody is seeing something! They cant all be lying. And if so, for what purpose? Some even have long-standing careers on the line and still have felt obligated to come forward with their encounters. People from all over the world and from all walks of life have claimed to have seen monstrous types of beings before. If true, what do we have? Ill tell you what we have . . . we have an honest to gosh monster on our hands, thats what! And thats exactly what this book is aboutthe authors experiences with just one of these type of beings dubbed the Ohio monster!
