Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Within each of us, there is a spark—a light in our souls that never dies. It is the divine gift God has given us. The darkness of the world and the illusions of technology have distracted us with their images of whom we are not instead of helping us find the light inside ourselves, which is the gift from God. This is book II of my Emerge series, which is my vision of the world. The book II, Emerge: My Incandescent Heart, continues our search for our souls and hearts in the journey to change ourselves and the world with love, kindness, and compassion. Be who you are meant to be, not who others want you to be. Follow your hearts and find the light of your souls within yourselves so that you can shine with that light and help us make the world a kinder and less evil and dark place—a happier and more loving world. This is my heart and soul. These are my words. Kassi Ydris (June 21, 2018)

October Daye is finally something she never expected to be: married. All the trials and turmoils and terrors of a hero’s life have done very little to prepare her for the expectation that she will actually share her life with someone else, the good parts and the bad ones alike, not just allow them to dabble around the edges in the things she wants to share. But with an official break from hero duties from the Queen in the Mists, and her family wholly on board with this new version of “normal,” she’s doing her best to adjust. It isn’t always easy, but she’s a hero, right? She’s done harder. Until an old friend and ally turns out to have been an enemy in disguise for this entire time, and October’s brief respite turns into a battle for her life, her community, and everything she has ever believed to be true. The debts of the Broken Ride are coming due, and whether she incurred them or not, she’s going to be the one who has to pay.

Book excerpt: The first translation of the volumes in Michel Serres' classic 'Humanism' tetralogy, this ambitious philosophical narrative explores what it means to be human. With his characteristic breadth of references including art, poetry, science, philosophy and literature, Serres paints a new picture of what it might mean to live meaningfully in contemporary society. He tells the story of humankind (from the beginning of time to the present moment) in an attempt to affirm his overriding thesis that humans and nature have always been part of the same ongoing and unfolding history. This crucial piece of posthumanist philosophical writing has never before been released in English. A masterful translation by Randolph Burks ensures the poetry and wisdom of Serres writing is preserved and his notion of what humanity is and might be is opened up to new audiences.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book tells the autobiography of my father, his years in Haiti, and his transition as an immigrant in foreign lands. His personal account mirrors the daily struggles one may face under the Duvaliers' regimes in the sixties through the mid of eighties to cultural shock and identity in other countries. Growing up, he experiences a lot of different emotions regarding his father's absence from the home along with dealing with his sudden death that had such an impact on his life. He tells this story in a narrative to inform his deceased father about his life. In his prime years, his dad caresses the hem of his mother's skirt, expressing how close the pair were. Hence, his mother taught him domestic chores, which is culturally catered to women. Throughout his secondary years, he expresses the demise of his teacher purposely failing him to hinder him from moving forward in the next class as well as the financial difficulties he faced during his time at Diquini, a congressional school, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Luckily, his eldest brother, whom he mentions throughout his book, was a pivotal stepping stone in his success there, along with his transition in America. In hopes of creating a family with his first love from Haiti, Dadoutte, she swindles him in hopes that they'll be reunited one day. She's destined to marry another suitor. After denying himself from women for a long time, he decided to open his heart to a girl, Samartha Mentor, who's visiting his home church, Horeb, now his wife of thirty years. His goal in Canada was to achieve a scholarship to further his studies and dreams of becoming a physician. Being isolated from his family back in Haiti, his stay there with his cousin, Gabriel, was extremely short-lived. Throughout his demise, he sought aid again from his brother Maurice in bringing himself to the United States. There, he began doing many odd jobs working in factories creating furniture pieces and being a taxi driver before being driven into the education field by a friend, Dr. Emmanuel Celestin, who saw Jean-Claude wasting his life away as a taxi driver. Taking this new job, teaching Haitians and Hispanic immigrants English at Wingate High School, has allowed him to further his career as an educator, where he retired as a school counselor, twenty-eight years and an half later at the age of sixty-two. Throughout the ceremony, the blue fire of Divinity consumed all falsities of Self, infusing Inaiya with an all embracing love that suspended her in Grace. While she lay motionless on the forest floor, Inaiya communes with her Family of Light and is downloaded with a vivid, multi-dimensional transmission that illuminates the seeding of Universal Christ Consciousness, encoded to blossom within her and the hearts of all beings at this unprecedented epoch in time. Inaiya is shown how life on Earth would be brought back into balance through each being undergoing the inner alchemy of the Divine Marriage. Inaiya, along with humanity, was at a vital crossroads, where her destiny called her irresistibly forth to embark upon an initiatory journey and follow a chain of synchronicities that would unveil the true nature of the Beloved. You are invited to venture along with Inaiya through the mythic Grail lines of Glastonbury, the French Pyrenees, Mediterranean Coast, Italy and Greece as she traces and re-discovers the richly encoded wisdom and timeless transmissions of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine as they rise, newly empowered to usher in an awakened New Earthunified in Oneness, sovereignty and resounding beauty. The Grail Rider is not only a holographic travel adventure woven with cosmic codes of light, it is an eternal love story and quest of the Soul, that magically unveils an alchemical treasure map that is altogether paradigm shifting. Steeped in humility, humour, and the transparent quandaries of a modern day Priestess, The Grail Rider is an offering of love, here to awaken and inspire all those who are called to return to the heart of the wild Divine.

Book excerpt: Every now and then, in history, a prolific and sound voice arises. And if ever a rising wave of such a new and inspiring voice would emerge, it might compare in the new American release, premiere novel by writer, Mr. Hopey Whisperwind. Beckoning with oscillations of an enrapturing tale, Mr. Whisperwind brings us to The River Called Silence. In his novel, Whisperwind eloquently spans the centuries of time, in order to weave a hauntingly intriguing story of his native people, the Low-Tow-Pee Indians of the North Carolina Mountains. Spoken in two installments, Book One opens with a prologue, titled, The Prophecy of the Sparrow, a recounting by Mr. Whisperwind of the sacred promise given to the Low-Tow-Pee before his time. Thereafter, in the beginning chapters, Mr. Whisperwind is living and working in New York City as a magazine journalist with his soon to be fiancée. Unannounced, he is called back home, to be amongst his tribe. Upon his return to his hometown of Cool Ridge, North Carolina, he is summoned to reawaken the fire of healing hands that was upon him as a child, in order to heal his ailing Grandmother, Lily Whisperwind. However, on this occasion, his healing, which the Low-Tow-Pee calls the Fever, is unable to cure her. His Grandmother passes away through the night. The next day, to Mr. Whisperwind's and his tribe's surprise, his Grandmother's Will states that Whisperwind is to inherit all of her belongings, the 100 year old home and her tattered journal within it. So then, the true journey begins as Mr. Whisperwind encounters the pages of her writings that speak of old walking spirits, a young love that blooms within a wondrous hidden world of heavenly things, and the praying hearts of a prophecy fulfilled. A well defined, timeless masterpiece at the heart of what makes every human human; The River Called Silence faithfully reaches out to its readers with a prolific and sound voice. Tweren't for love where, O' where would I be? Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Winner of the 2021 American Board & Academy of Psychoanalysis Annual Book Prize for Best Theoretical Book in Psychoanalysis! Stanton Marlan brings together writings which span the course of his career, examining Jungian psychology and the alchemical imagination as an opening to the mysteries of psyche and soul. Several chapters describe a telos that aims at the mysterious goal of the Philosophers’ Stone, a move replete with classical and postmodern ideas catalysed by prompts from the unconscious: dreams, images, fantasies, and paradoxical conundrums. Psyche and matter are seen with regards to soul, light and darkness in terms of illumination, and order and chaos as linked in the image of chaosmos. Marlan explores the richness of the alchemical ideas of Carl Jung, James Hillman, and others and their value for a revisioning of psychology. In doing so, this volume challenges any tendency to literalism and essentialism, and contributes to an integration between Jung’s classical vision of a psychology of alchemy and Hillman’s Alchemical Psychology. C.G. Jung and the Alchemical Imagination will be a valuable resource for academics, scholars, and students of Jungian and post-Jungian studies, Jungian analysis, and psychotherapy. It will also be of great interest to Jungian psychologists and Jungian analysts in practice and in training.

Book excerpt: Although the works of C.G. Jung have received worldwide attention, there has been surprisingly little engagement by philosophers. In this volume, internationally recognized philosophers, Jungian analysts, and scholars attempt to fill this void in the literature. Although Jung did not have a formalized, systematic philosophy, the philosophical implications of his thought are explored in relation to his key theoretical postulates on archetypes, the collective unconscious, the mind-body problem, phenomenology, epistemology, psychology of religion, alchemy, myth, ethics, aesthetics, and the question of transcendence. Through analyzing Jung philosophically, new vistas emerge for enhanced explication, theoretical refinement, revision, and redirecting shifts in emphasis that lend more proper cohesion to Jung’s philosophy. For the first time we may observe philosophers attempting to unpack the philosophical consequences of Jung’s thought applied to many traditional topics covered in the humanities and the social sciences. Given that Jung has not been historically taken up by philosophers, critiqued, nor applied to contemporary theories of mind, culture, and human nature, this is the first book of its kind. It is argued that a new generation of research in analytical psychology can benefit from philosophical scrutiny and theoretical fortification. Jung and Philosophy will be of interest to psychoanalysts, philosophers, cultural theorists, religious scholars, and the disciplines of depth psychology and post-Jungian studies.
