Book Synopsis Electromagnetic Information Leakage and Countermeasure Technique by : Taikang Liu
Download or read book Electromagnetic Information Leakage and Countermeasure Technique written by Taikang Liu and published by Springer. This book was released on 2019-05-14 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a model of electromagnetic (EM) information leakage based on electromagnetic and information theory. It discusses anti-leakage, anti-interception and anti-reconstruction technologies from the perspectives of both computer science and electrical engineering. In the next five years, the threat posed by EM information leakage will only become greater, and the demand for protection will correspondingly increase. The book systematically introduces readers to the theory of EM information leakage and the latest technologies and measures designed to counter it, and puts forward an EM information leakage model that has established the foundation for new research in this area, paving the way for new technologies to counter EM information leakage. As such, it offers a valuable reference guide for all researchers and engineers involved in EM information leakage and countermeasures.

Book Synopsis ELECTRONIC WARFARE: The Army Can Reduce Its Risks in Developing New Radar Countermeasures System by :
Download or read book ELECTRONIC WARFARE: The Army Can Reduce Its Risks in Developing New Radar Countermeasures System written by and published by . This book was released on 2001 with total page 20 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Army is in the process of acquiring a new, state-of-the-art radar countermeasures system called the Suite of Integrated Radio Frequency Countermeasures to enable its helicopters and other aircraft to identify, track, and defeat radar-guided missiles in complex electronic environments where many radar systems could be operating simultaneously. Customers for the system include the Army s Apache helicopter and the Air Force s Special Operations CV-22 tilt-rotor aircraft. When the Army began developing the new system in 1994, low-rate initial production was originally scheduled to begin in 1999 and full-rate production in 2001. In 1999, the Army restructured the program to provide more time and money for serious developmental problems uncovered during testing. The Army has delayed the low-rate initial production decision to 2002 and the full-rate production decision to 2003. The system s overall development cost has increased from $54 million to a projected $127 million. Because of the developmental problems with the new radar countermeasures system, we reviewed the Army s acquisition program to determine whether it will provide decisionmakers with sufficient knowledge about the system s readiness to begin low-rate initial production.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book introduces readers to a range of jamming principles and techniques for new radars, combining a wealth of theoretical analyses, test data, calculations, and charts. With rapid advances in military radar technology, new types of radar are constantly emerging. Therefore, there is an urgent need to carry out effective research on these new radars and to develop corresponding jamming techniques. The main topics covered include development of radar and radar countermeasures; jamming techniques for synthetic aperture radar; jamming techniques for pulse compression radar; jamming techniques for pulse Doppler radar; general jamming techniques for various radars; analysis and calculation of the effective jamming suppression zone and jamming exposure zone for radars installed on different platforms; jamming techniques for phased array radar; jamming techniques for dual (multiple) static radar; and solutions for high equivalent radiation power, high reception sensitivity, and transceiver isolation in jammer design.
