Book excerpt: Depuis les années 70, la formation initiale des professionnels de santé est enrichie d'enseignements exploitant la perspective patient. En 2016, le DUMG d'USPN développe un programme d'enseignement dans ce sens : le programme PEP 13. Alors qu'aucune méthode ni outil d'évaluation de programme d'enseignement uniformisé n'existe, une question émerge : comment évaluer les effets du programme PEP 13 sur les étudiants de médecine générale ayant terminé leur cursus universitaire à l'Université Sorbonne Paris Nord ? Méthode : Il s'agissait d'un travail d'élaboration de protocole de recherche basé sur deux revues de la littérature regroupant respectivement des données autour de l'évaluation des programmes d'enseignement et les effets de l'implication du patient enseignant sur la formation des professionnels de santé, dont les résultats ont été investis dans la rédaction d'un protocole de recherche. Résultats : les effets de l'implication du patient dans la littérature montrent qu'ils ont un impact durable sur les étudiants, sur l'augmentation de leurs compétences et l'acquisition des connaissances, l'empathie et une meilleure compréhension du vécu de la maladie du patient. L'évaluation en pédagogie apparait comme une nécessité et un critère de qualité. La complexité de l'évaluation réside dans sa multiplicité, chaque modèle comportant des avantages et des inconvénients. L'évaluation des programmes pédagogiques en santé est illustrée par le modèle de Kirkpatrick. Tenant compte des supports structurants, un protocole de recherche visant à explorer, au moyen d'un modèle évaluatif, les effets du programme patient-enseignant PEP 13 initié en 2016 sur les pratiques des étudiants du 3 e cycle des études médecine générale sortant de leur cursus de formation à l'Université Sorbonne Paris Nord a pu être crée. Discussion : cette étude permet la création d'un protocole de recherche. Les ressources éthiques et réglementaires autour de la recherche sont nombreuses, éparses, complexes et parfois peu claires rendant parfois difficiles l'identification des informations à ne pas omettre. Il n'a pas été retrouvé dans la littérature de construction de protocole similaire à ce travail, ce qui a limité les possibilités de comparaison en termes de méthodes et de résultats. Au sein de l'étude à mener, diverses difficultés se sont présentées : le choix de la population, l'intérêt de stratifier les participants par rapport aux nombres de contacts avec les enseignants en perspective ; le choix du bon moment pour s'entretenir avec les étudiants, lorsqu'ils sortent de leur cursus, a nécessité des réflexions. Le guide d'entretien a également été un outil complexe à élaborer. Conclusion : cette thèse illustre un travail original d'élaboration d'un protocole de recherche qui s'appuie sur des supports structurants multiples destinés à enrichir la qualité de sa construction sur le fond et la forme, en se plaçant dans une continuité cohérente avec les travaux effectués sur le programme PEP13. Ainsi ce protocole nous permet d'étudier le quatrième niveau de Kirkpatrick en explorant les effets du programme PEP 13 sur la pratique des jeunes praticiens généralistes sortant de leur de 3 e cycle d'études à de l'Université Sorbonne Paris Nord. Ce travail de thèse a donc élaboré un protocole de recherche complet pour l'étude à mener. Sa construction permettra par la suite une mise en application immédiate. Les chercheurs devront se répartir les tâches effectives.
