Mediante ocho temas pertinentes a un publico en general, presento como desde mi infancia y a traves de los procesos de vida fui atraido por fuerzas positivas que no podia codificar, gracias a una situacion familiar que nublo mi vida y todas mis capacidades emocionales como si fuera una tempestad; me di a la tarea de estudiar para conseguir respuestas mas alla del aspecto de la religiosidad ante un ataque del enemigo (Satanas). Trabaje con mi ser interior intensivamente para lograr superar aquel estado de inercia que afectaba a todos mis sentidos. Luego de anos de depresion severa y de encierro, me di a la tarea de estudiar, de investigar y de agregar a mi existir elementos que me brindaran pureza, luz y fuerzas para proseguir mi lento caminar dentro de mi angustia existencial. Cuando desperte del letargo me dispuse al proceso de auto evaluarme y autovalorarme, aspectos que parecian ausentes en mi ser despues de exponerme a tanto sufrimiento y a tanta humillacion. Cuando estamos vulnerables olvidamos que hay fuerzas emergentes esperando para actuar en pro de nuestra crisis. Como maestro de Drama, de Educacion Especial con especialidad en Autismo y como actor/declamador de profesion recurri a metodos, estrategias y procedimientos que me permitieran despojarme de aquel dolor emocional. Resulto interesante como mediante la lectura constante, el ejercicio fisico, la practica del mindfulness "aqui y ahora", una dieta balanceada y el buscar en la iglesia que fuese, del pan espiritual, que calma el dolor de la carne y sirve de refrigerio al alma; todo lo expuesto anteriormente me condujo a adoptar caracteristicas de un ser resiliente y hacer uso de la inteligencia espiritual como herramientas de apoyo ante la desesperante situacion que dominaba mi vida en su totalidad. Sin casi percatarme asumi una actitud espiritual convirtiendome en un guerrero del amor, para emerger del fondo en el que estaba sumergido y poder salvarme de aquella maldicion inminente. Te brindo en este texto que fue guiado por Dios, la formula con la que sali del oscurantismo que me llevo a desviar mi vida. Deseo que puedas usarlo, que incorpores algunas de las practicas que establezco y que sea util para sobrepasar tu tempestad o para que estes alerta y prevenido ante las artimanas del enemigo. Specifically, memory is the framework of culture, because it links the present to the past - or tradition - and projects it into the future. For this reason, any work focusing on memory involves a double challenge: (1) to reveal the origin of concepts and (2) to glimpse the course of thoughts. This is the case of the present volume, in which the authors make several tastings of Europe's intellectual heritage, by taking into account both the Greek origin of this legacy and its relevance for understanding the European philosophical heritage. In particular, these papers focus on the Aristotelian tradition, the true keystone of Europe, and on other currents of thought that have also played an essential role in the intellectual evolution of the Old Continent. In the latter field, there are contributions, for instance, on philosophical-religious traditions such as Orphism or on certain fundamental aspects of Neoplatonism both in the Classical World and in Christian authors. Book excerpt: In a study published in the mid-twentieth century, French historian Robert Ricard postulated that the evangelization and conversion of the native populations of Mexico had been rapid and relatively easy. However, different forms of evidence show that the so-called “spiritual conquest” was anything but easy or rapid, and, in fact, natives continued to practice their traditional beliefs alongside Catholicism. Within several decades of initiating the so-called “spiritual conquest,” the campaign to evangelize and convert the native populations, the missionaries faced growing evidence of idolatry or the persistence of traditional religious practices and apostasy, straying from Church teachings. The evidence includes written documents such as inquisition investigations that resulted, for example, in the execution of don Carlos, the native ruler of Tezcoco, on December 1, 1539, or that uncovered evidence of systematic organized resistance to Dominican missionaries in the Sierra Mixteca of Oaxaca. Other forms of evidence include pre-Hispanic religious iconography incorporated into what ostensibly were Christian murals, and pre-Hispanic stones embedded in the churches and convents the missionaries had built. One example of this was the stone with the face of Tláloc at the rear of the Franciscan church Santiago Tlatelolco in Distrito Federal. During the course of some three centuries, missionaries from different Catholic religious orders attempted to convert the native populations of colonial Mexico, with mixed results. Native groups throughout colonial Mexico resisted the imposition of the new religion in overt and covert forms, and incorporated Catholicism into their worldview on their own terms. Native cultural and religious traditions were more flexible than the Iberian Catholic norms introduced by the missionaries. The so-called “spiritual conquest,” a term coined by Ricard, evolved as a cultural war set against the backdrop of the imposition of a foreign colonial regime. The 11 essays in this volume examine the efforts to evangelize the native populations of Mexico, the approaches taken by the missionaries, and native responses. The contributions investigate the interplay between natives and missionaries in central Mexico, and on the southern and northern frontiers of New Spain, and among sedentary and non-sedentary natives. In the end, many natives found little in the new faith to attract them, and resisted the imposition of new religious norms and way of life.
