I'm not going to promise you that it will be easy. I am not going to tell you that this is a cure-all book that will fix everything that is going wrong in your life. But what I will promise you, is that this book will give you the tools you can use to help you achieve the results and the goals that you have set for yourself. The Book of Action is not just meant for the beginner. I didn't design it to be specific for one group of individuals, more than another group. From the store clerk looking to make it big, to the CEO of a billion dollar corporation who just needs something to help accent the already extensive set of tools in his possession. Sometimes, it's hard. But with The Book of Action, you have an additional tool to help you break through that wall that is keeping you from achieving your dreams. Remember, you can only gain momentum through action; and what a better place to start, than The Book of Action.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers vivid insights into policies of religious education in schools since the series of wars in former Yugoslavia in the 1990's. It traces the segregation among members of different ethnic groups in Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia, which has never been greater or more systematic. It aims to be a necessary step in understanding the origins of this systematic segregation and how it is reproduced in educational practice, asserting that the politicization of religion in the school textbooks is one of the motors responsible for the ongoing ethnic segregation. It also deals with complex aspects of this issue, such as the general situation of religion in the different countries, the social position of churches, the issues of gender, the reconciliation after the Yugoslav Wars, and the integration of the EU.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A haunting, beautiful first novel by the bestselling author of A Long Way Gone. Named one of the Christian Science Monitor's best fiction books of the year. When Ishmael Beah's A Long Way Gone was published in 2007, it soared to the top of bestseller lists, becoming an instant classic: a harrowing account of Sierra Leone's civil war and the fate of child soldiers that "everyone in the world should read" (The Washington Post). Now Beah, whom Dave Eggers has called "arguably the most read African writer in contemporary literature," has returned with his first novel, an affecting, tender parable about postwar life in Sierra Leone. At the center of Radiance of Tomorrow are Benjamin and Bockarie, two longtime friends who return to their hometown, Imperi, after the civil war. The village is in ruins, the ground covered in bones. As more villagers begin to come back, Benjamin and Bockarie try to forge a new community by taking up their former posts as teachers, but they're beset by obstacles: a scarcity of food; a rash of murders, thievery, rape, and retaliation; and the depredations of a foreign mining company intent on sullying the town's water supply and blocking its paths with electric wires. As Benjamin and Bockarie search for a way to restore order, they're forced to reckon with the uncertainty of their past and future alike. With the gentle lyricism of a dream and the moral clarity of a fable, Radiance of Tomorrow is a powerful novel about preserving what means the most to us, even in uncertain times.

Book excerpt: A MEMOIR BY THE YOUNGEST RECIPIENT OF THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE As seen on Netflix with David Letterman "I come from a country that was created at midnight. When I almost died it was just after midday." When the Taliban took control of the Swat Valley in Pakistan, one girl spoke out. Malala Yousafzai refused to be silenced and fought for her right to an education. On Tuesday, October 9, 2012, when she was fifteen, she almost paid the ultimate price. She was shot in the head at point-blank range while riding the bus home from school, and few expected her to survive. Instead, Malala's miraculous recovery has taken her on an extraordinary journey from a remote valley in northern Pakistan to the halls of the United Nations in New York. At sixteen, she became a global symbol of peaceful protest and the youngest nominee ever for the Nobel Peace Prize. I AM MALALA is the remarkable tale of a family uprooted by global terrorism, of the fight for girls' education, of a father who, himself a school owner, championed and encouraged his daughter to write and attend school, and of brave parents who have a fierce love for their daughter in a society that prizes sons. I AM MALALA will make you believe in the power of one person's voice to inspire change in the world.

Book excerpt: Despite great progress around the world in getting more kids into schools, too many leave without even the most basic skills. In India’s rural Andhra Pradesh, for instance, only about one in twenty children in fifth grade can perform basic arithmetic. The problem is that schooling is not the same as learning. In The Rebirth of Education, Lant Pritchett uses two metaphors from nature to explain why. The first draws on Ori Brafman and Rod Beckstrom’s book about the difference between centralized and decentralized organizations, The Starfish and the Spider. Schools systems tend be centralized and suffer from the limitations inherent in top-down designs. The second metaphor is the concept of isomorphic mimicry. Pritchett argues that many developing countries superficially imitate systems that were successful in other nations— much as a nonpoisonous snake mimics the look of a poisonous one. Pritchett argues that the solution is to allow functional systems to evolve locally out of an environment pressured for success. Such an ecosystem needs to be open to variety and experimentation, locally operated, and flexibly financed. The only main cost is ceding control; the reward would be the rebirth of education suited for today’s world.

This fascinating and instructive book was designed as a sequel or supplement to the splendid collection of grammatical items first published in Ruge Rules. Ferdinand E. Ruge was for many years a teacher of English at St. Albans School, in Washington, DC. Daniel Hoyt Daniels was a student in Mr. Ruge's classes throughout his sophomore, junior and senior years, and was "profoundly affected" by Mr. Ruge and his uncompromising insistence upon rhetorical excellence. The present volume follows the pattern and style of Ruge Rules, bringing in additional points Ruge might well have espoused as well as observations of evolutionary trends, new expressions, and questionable usages that have recently crept into the language, some of which might have made Mr. Ruge shudder. Like Ruge Rules, this book hopes to bring attention to details of good grammar and help encourage the reader to maintain the goal of "clear, correct and reasonably

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When you succeed, you inspire! Congratulations on receiving this life changing book. “The Book that changed my Life”, is a gem that equips you with the transformative paint and the artistic brush to create your most beautiful reality on this canvas of life. This book will equip you with ideas and priceless pearls of wisdom that you can use to achieve success in all spheres of your life. The author examines the habits of successful people and condenses them into a single compendium for you to easily apply into your everyday living. The answers to good health, sound wealth, contentment and serenity lies herein. This book unearths the secrets and simple truths to success by extracting several mediations and transforming these into practical solutions, necessary for you to excel and grow exponentially in your life. I personally, have applied the teachings of this book, to achieve many great things including the purchase of two properties before the age of 30, the establishment of the Changing Lives Foundation, the penning of several articles, the deliverance of several key note addresses, the management of several workshops and finding the perfect life partner to name but a few. I have been fortunate enough to have interacted with many great individuals through the course of my career and I have also been blessed enough to be placed into many challenging situations that forced me to sip from the cup of life albeit at first bitter, the lessons of the aftertaste was indeed sweet. I grew up in a middle income home with a hard working self-employed father and an equally as hard working stay at home mother from both of whom, I have received priceless knowledge, guidance and understanding to navigate through the waters of life and achieve success in every area thereto. The lessons and advice from this book, has helped several young and old, men and women, from diverse parts of society, achieve success, in both their personal and professional lives. To cite a few other real life examples, a young South African female, took the decision to change her life and relocated from Durban to Johannesburg in 2019. She had her life transformed on all levels both professionally and personally. After applying the principles of this compendium, she has gone, from being an unemployed, shy and reserved teenager who lived in a township in KwaZulu-Natal, to becoming an independent, confident, outspoken and now permanently employed woman, in the role of a junior manager might I add, now living her best life in Sandton. Need I say more about what this book can do for you? A divorced, middle aged South African male faced endless child custody battles and was constantly depressed, tired and demotivated. He is now enjoying some of the best moments of his life in his professional and personal sphere, heading up his department, always laughing, and now spending precious moments with this child. He is now happier and healthier than he would ever have imagined. How about a bi-polar male who lived alone with little to no hope for his life. He lost his parents as a teenager and lived between families. He made the decision to turn his life around and found a renewed purpose. He is now a renowned physical trainer and has a stable happy family. Your life will change forever once you’ve read and applied the wisdom of this compendium. Being an educator and a mentor, I always encourage reading and nourishment of minds. Reading is knowledge, knowledge is power, power is choice, choice is freedom and freedom is the ultimate goal of life. Go on… Open the pages toward the best of your life and rewrite your destiny to live your Best Life! Succeed in Your Life and Inspire Others to do the same!
