O esforço empreendido pelas autoras e autores desta obra revela o comprometimento científico com a expansão da fronteira do conhecimento contemporâneo por meio de um conjunto de discussões e análises estruturadas de modo plural por um trabalho colaborativo desenvolvido a várias mãoes dentro de uma rede internacional de pesquisas desde a África até a América Latina e o Caribe. A empreitada intelectual gerida pelo esforço de vinte e oito pesquisadores de instituições públicas e privadas da Angola, Brasil, Cuba, El Salvador e Peru traz uma privilegiada imersão comparativa de estudos de casos sobre as temáticas de Educação Especial e Inclusiva a partir de um pioneiro enfoque internacional que versa sobre a ótica docente em distintas realidades socioespaciais e portanto segundo as particularidades e generalidades existentes. A estruturação deste livro em nove capítulos apresenta uma instigante discussão sobre o pensamento pedagógico com base em um colaborativo trabalho de pesquisa engendrado por pesquisadores que a despeito das distintas formações acadêmicas e expertises profissionais buscam avançar na construção do campo epistêmico da da Educação Especial e da Educação Inclusiva, tanto, em termos de reflexão acadêmica, quanto de práxis profissional docente. Caracterizado por uma natureza exploratória, descritiva e explicativa quanto aos fins, este livro teve o método dedutivo como pilastra mestre para fundamentar a análise sobre questões fáticas e teóricas com base nos procedimentos qualitativos, tanto, de revisão bibliográfica e documental no levantamento de dados, quanto de hermenêutica educacional na interpretação dos dados primários e secundários das respectivas pesquisas manifestadas em capítulos. Conclui-se que em função da combinação da abordagem didática com um rigor cientifico teórico-metodológico, a presente obra é indicada para um amplo público, tanto de leitores de língua portuguesa e espanhola interessados em novas informações e conhecimento, quanto de acadêmicos, especialistas e profissionais que buscam se atualizar com discussões sobre o estado da arte na temática.
