Book excerpt: Game of E-Commerce primary goal is to simplify the selling process on Amazon USA & global platforms, divulge consumer product trade secrets & benefit an endowment of divergent thinking real life consumer products. What’s the definition of a leader? One who provides solutions. In addition to intellectual property powers afforded by Amazon to protect sellers, this literature offers an array of private label concepts that may be developed by any individual. In that sense they’re open-source patents. The brilliant Elon Musk acknowledged that Tesla’s intellectual property data are open-source patents. That means that any individual or entity may build a car using Mr. Musk’s patents. For what reason? To make the world a greener place. That was Mr. Musk’s response. In that charitable, gracious & generous environment, Game of E-Commerce also allows all concepts provided in this book to be developed by any individual. Express permission is hereby given. To illustrate a scenario where intellectual property is utilized, wouldn’t it be possible to develop popular computer programs that respond to a person’s eye movement? The way this would work is for the computer’s camera to follow eye movement & take commands when a specific time interval has elapsed. This is when the eye is aimed at a certain command such as “save document”. This would save immense time & energy to all consumers. The purpose of this literature is to raise the bar for all interested parties. It’s impossible to raise the sea level with a few drops of water, however, a tumultuous tropical rainstorm may raise the sea level by myriads. Tropical storms aren’t positive encounters, however, the concept of raising the level for all humanity is relevant & positive. It’s important to learn from the bad & utilize the bad for good purposes. Empower the bad for the good via transformation. The question arises, what’s the transformation process? By inspecting the negative attributes of the bad & finding solutions that transform them into good. That is the definition of a true leader.

Book excerpt: This new Edition of Electronic Commerce is a complete update of the leading graduate level/advanced undergraduate level textbook on the subject. Electronic commerce (EC) describes the manner in which transactions take place over electronic networks, mostly the Internet. It is the process of electronically buying and selling goods, services, and information. Certain EC applications, such as buying and selling stocks and airline tickets online, are reaching maturity, some even exceeding non-Internet trades. However, EC is not just about buying and selling; it also is about electronically communicating, collaborating, and discovering information. It is about e-learning, e-government, social networks, and much more. EC is having an impact on a significant portion of the world, affecting businesses, professions, trade, and of course, people. The most important developments in EC since 2014 are the continuous phenomenal growth of social networks, especially Facebook , LinkedIn and Instagram, and the trend toward conducting EC with mobile devices. Other major developments are the expansion of EC globally, especially in China where you can find the world's largest EC company. Much attention is lately being given to smart commerce and the use of AI-based analytics and big data to enhance the field. Finally, some emerging EC business models are changing industries (e.g., the shared economy models of Uber and Airbnb). The 2018 (9th) edition, brings forth the latest trends in e-commerce, including smart commerce, social commerce, social collaboration, shared economy, innovations, and mobility.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The New Economy has hit China, driven by the Internet and e-commerce. China has made a good start in both areas. Since its debut, subscribers to the Internet grew exponentially from a mere 1,600 in 1994 to 16.9 million in mid-2000. E-commerce transactions registered a total revenue of 200 million yuan in 1999, or twice as much as in 1998. B2C e-commerce is expected to grow by 300% in 2000. However, the rapid growth of the sectors is constrained by factors such as a small base of registered users, high costs of using the Internet, government control of information access, and lack of an effective distribution network and financial linkage. Internet businesses are also losing money due to exorbitant charges for telephone lines, an uncertain regulatory environment, and direct competition from the telecommunications operators dominating the market. Nonetheless, the high growth potential of the two sectors is still well recognized by foreign multinationals. Despite China's manifest prohibition of foreign involvement, foreign companies have managed to enter the Chinese market by forming strategic alliances with domestic concerns. It appears that China prefers a smooth and orderly process of market opening based on a more effective regulatory regime such as licensing arrangements. This book is intended for readers interested in China's Internet and e-commerce sectors. Businessmen, corporate planners, business associates, researchers, engineers, technologists, academics and students interested in these industries will find the book useful. Focusing on China's nascent Internet and e-commerce industries, this book presents the historical development, current market status and future growth, as well as discusses the problems and issues facing the two sectors.

Book excerpt: Named an Inc. Business Beach Read for Summer 2016! In WE-Commerce, visionary marketing strategist Billee Howard lays out her plan for a new vision of success and long-term, purposeful profitability in the new global, sharing economy Today, the most successful businesses and entrepreneurs thrive through connectivity, socialization, and sharing. It is an age of WE-Commerce, an economy centered on the power of “we” instead of “me,” focused on the needs of the many over the few. Booming companies such as Uber and Airbnb leverage technology to create platforms that rely largely on social media and community feedback to facilitate people’s ability to collaborate with one another. Instead of traditional business strategies, companies must now inspire belief and trust in their communities; collaborate with their customers; create business models that are socially and environmentally responsible; find opportunities for creative collaboration with large, global markets; and become a new generation of innovators—“artists of business.” With advice from “stay small but include all” to “profit with purpose” and “embrace disruption,” Billee Howard gives readers the reinvented business toolkit that they will need to effectively collaborate, co-create, and succeed in a WE-Commerce landscape, and to acquire a new set of skills that will position them as leaders in the transformed economy.
