Book Synopsis Localized Dynamics of Thin-Walled Shells by : Gennadi I. Mikhasev
Download or read book Localized Dynamics of Thin-Walled Shells written by Gennadi I. Mikhasev and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2020-04-21 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Localized Dynamics of Thin-Walled Shells focuses on localized vibrations and waves in thin-walled structures with variable geometrical and physical characteristics. It emphasizes novel asymptotic methods for solving boundary-value problems for dynamic equations in the shell theory, in the form of functions which are highly localized near both fixed and moving lines/points on the shell surface. Features First-of-its-kind work, synthesizing knowledge of the localization of vibrations and waves in thin-walled shells with a mathematical tool to study them Suitable for researchers working on the dynamics of thin shells and also as supplementary reading for undergraduates studying asymptotic methods Offers detailed analysis of wave processes in shells with varying geometric and physical parameters
Book Synopsis Static and Dynamic Buckling of Thin-Walled Plate Structures by : Tomasz Kubiak
Download or read book Static and Dynamic Buckling of Thin-Walled Plate Structures written by Tomasz Kubiak and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-06-28 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph deals with buckling and postbuckling behavior of thin plates and thin-walled structures with flat wall subjected to static and dynamic load. The investigations are carried out in elastic range. The basic assumption here is the thin plate theory. This method is used to determination the buckling load and postbuckling analysis of thin-walled structures subjected to static and dynamic load. The book introduces two methods for static and dynamic buckling investigation which allow for a wider understanding of the phenomenon. Two different methods also can allow uncoupling of the phenomena occurring at the same time and attempt to estimate their impact on the final result. A general mathematical model, adopted in proposed analytical-numerical method, enables the consideration of all types of stability loss i.e.local, global and interactive forms of buckling. The applied numerical-numerical method includes adjacent of walls, shear-lag phenomenon and a deplanation of cross-sections.
Book Synopsis Dynamics of Rail Transit Tunnel Systems by : Shunhua Zhou
Download or read book Dynamics of Rail Transit Tunnel Systems written by Shunhua Zhou and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2019-04-15 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dynamics of Rail Transit Tunnel Systems develops the dynamic theory of a rail transit tunnel system and provides research methods for the evaluation of long-term settlement of rail transit tunnels in soft soil, the service performance of tunnel structures, and the characterization of environmental vibration induced by trains. In recent years, a large number of rail transit tunnels have been constructed and put into operation, particularly in China. To evaluate the time-dependent degradation of tunnel structures and train-induced environmental vibration, a reliable model must be established to determine the dynamic response of a vehicle-track-tunnel-soil system, hence the introduction of this timely resource. Provides full theoretical background to help the reader gain an in-depth understanding of the various methods used for dynamic analysis of a rail transit tunnel system Develops the dynamics theory and method of a rail transit tunnel system under the context of challenging engineering problems Presents methods for analyzing the dynamic responses of rail transit tunnel-soil systems Looks at problems that need to be solved in the future and proposes potential directions for future research

Download or read book Dynamic Response of Cylindrical Shells to Moving Pressure Load written by Herbert Reismann and published by . This book was released on 1969 with total page 5 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A brief description of the results of an investigation concerned with an accuracy assessment of engineering theories of elastic plates and shells subjected to suddenly applied surface loads is given. The objective of the investigation was to generate exact solutions within the framework of different plate and shell theories to guide designers in their selection of the appropriate theory when analyzing 'light' construction under transient dynamical conditions.
