Download or read book Le préparateur en pharmacie - Guide théorique et pratique (2e ed.) written by GAZENGEL Jean-Marie and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-04-15 with total page 1858 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Digues maritimes et fluviales de protection contre les submersions - 2e colloque national - Digues 2013 written by ROYET Paul and published by Lavoisier. This book was released on 2013-05-01 with total page 730 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis Constitutional Law in France by : Marie-Luce Paris
Download or read book Constitutional Law in France written by Marie-Luce Paris and published by Kluwer Law International B.V.. This book was released on 2024-01-18 with total page 539 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Derived from the renowned multi-volume International Encyclopaedia of Laws, this very useful analysis of constitutional law in France provides essential information on the country’s sources of constitutional law, its form of government, and its administrative structure. Lawyers who handle transnational matters will appreciate the clarifications of particular terminology and its application. Throughout the book, the treatment emphasizes the specific points at which constitutional law affects the interpretation of legal rules and procedure. Thorough coverage by a local expert fully describes the political system, the historical background, the role of treaties, legislation, jurisprudence, and administrative regulations. The discussion of the form and structure of government outlines its legal status, the jurisdiction and workings of the central state organs, the subdivisions of the state, its decentralized authorities, and concepts of citizenship. Special issues include the legal position of aliens, foreign relations, taxing and spending powers, emergency laws, the power of the military, and the constitutional relationship between church and state. Details are presented in such a way that readers who are unfamiliar with specific terms and concepts in varying contexts will fully grasp their meaning and significance. Its succinct yet scholarly nature, as well as the practical quality of the information it provides, make this book a valuable time-saving tool for both practising and academic jurists. Lawyers representing parties with interests in France will welcome this guide, and academics and researchers will appreciate its value in the study of comparative constitutional law.
Book Synopsis Autonomy and Demilitarisation in International Law: The Åland Islands in a Changing Europe by : Horn
Download or read book Autonomy and Demilitarisation in International Law: The Åland Islands in a Changing Europe written by Horn and published by Martinus Nijhoff Publishers. This book was released on 2023-09-14 with total page 368 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Åland Islands constitute a very special case in international law. This island territory under Finland's sovereignty has been demilitarised and neutralised for more than one hundred and forty years and autonomous for more than seventy years. In 1921 the Council of the League of Nations laid down international guarantees for the autonomy and the Swedish character of Åland, and a multilateral convention on Åland's demilitarisation and neutralisation was concluded in the same year. The convention is still in force and Åland's autonomy is firmly anchored in both customary international law and Finnish constitutional law. This volume is the first to comprehensively analyse Åland's international legal status. Coverage of its articles includes: analyses of the status and content of Åland's autonomy, military issues, and the relationship between Åland and the EU. The solution achieved for Åland may provide a valuable model of autonomy. This book is important not only for experts and students of international law, but for anyone concerned with territorial autonomy as a possible means for enhancing political rights of minorities.

Book Synopsis The Palgrave Handbook of Decentralisation in Europe by : José Manuel Ruano
Download or read book The Palgrave Handbook of Decentralisation in Europe written by José Manuel Ruano and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-11-29 with total page 522 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This handbook provides an authoritative study of European decentralisation, taking into account, from a territorial perspective, the different political and administrative traditions in Europe (Continental, Anglo-Saxon and Ex-communist States) and the cleavages North-South and East-West. While in recent decades most European countries have implemented devolution policies trying to tackle different political, social or bureaucratic problems, some others have instead regionalised their territory, applied federal or pseudo-federal reforms and strengthened the role of subnational governments. This volume analyses decentralisation in these countries using different variables including history, territorial organisation, civil service and financing, and reveals how this phenomenon leads to complex intergovernmental linkages. The evolution of territorial decentralisation, the political tensions between centre and periphery, the autonomy of the subnational governments and their functions and competences, the tools of co-ordination and co-operation, and the features and role of civil service are the main issues studied here with an interdisciplinary approach.

Book Synopsis From Revolution to Chaos in Haiti (1804-2019) by : Rhodner J Orisma
Download or read book From Revolution to Chaos in Haiti (1804-2019) written by Rhodner J Orisma and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2020-01-13 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Haiti is a failing state. The country is still unable to provide basic needs such as employment, food, housing, healthcare and education to a majority of its inhabitants in over two centuries after its revolution and Independence of 1804. Relatively incompetent, both the nation’s government and its opposition ignore moral politics, and instead, focus on corruption and fighting each other. Though free from French rule, the country remains tied to its slave past and violent history. It seems like a socioeconomic and urban consensus cannot be achieved in order to carry out sustainable solutions for the people. This book, From Revolution to Chaos in Haiti, 1804-2019: Urban Problems and Redevelopment Straregies, is an attempt to analyze this situation from a historical perspective. First, the Haitian Revolution of 1804 is displayed to show the violent and bloody struggles of outstanding leaders and warriors against colonial powers for the making of a great political and independent nation. Second, Haiti’s decline is analyzed starting from the assassination of its first leader, Jean-Jacques Dessalines, in 1806 to the country’s bottom rank in the global stratification during the 2010’s along with the impact of the catastrophic 2010 earthquake. The main factors noted within this decline are linguistic, agricultural, urban and (HIV, AIDS, TB) healthcare issues and undercapitalization along with ideological confusions (capitalism, neoliberalism, socialism, social democracy) and political instability.
