Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While it is a natural thing to give excuses, this book will be arguing that giving excuses is not good enough. The reason is, that each time excuses come up it is an indication of the possibility to provide solutions. While these opportunities may be hidden in pain, injustices, discrimination, and hatred, it takes seeing beyond excuses to come up with solutions. The way to become significant and make an impact is by providing solutions. But you will never rise to the occasion if all you do is give excuses. You will remain stuck where you are if you keep giving “good excuses.” The bitter truth is that no matter how good you think your excuses are, the only thing they are doing for you is keeping you stuck in your present predicament.

You, the Native and natural American or street cats, cowboy Jacks; you, the political, corporate suit-and-ties, the Mob guy; you, the cowardly tigers, rats, and sneaks; and especially you, the mothers and fathers. These books are game-infested with points and views of the world from a young NIGGAs (Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished) perspective, full of random but organized thoughts, hoping to help you better understand things you dont understand. Yeah, from that N-Word, not from those associated with todays (2017) generation N-words but those that the great late Tupac Shakur mentioned in 2Pacalypse Now, Words Of Wisdom. Or occultism perhaps! (Some statements in this book are not facts but thoughts from your neighborhood N-word)

Book excerpt: Jesus said in Matthew 16:24”’Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” Since the cross was a place of death, taking up your cross implied the death, not of the person, but of the person’s desires, wants, and preferences. But the tension between our desires, wants and preferences often challenges our daily walk with Christ. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” In other words, the Bible has an answer for every challenge. This book explores what the Bible provides as “teaching, rebuking, correcting and training” to address many of the more common challenges faced by Christians. The concluding chapters focus on the understanding that God will give us the strength and the wisdom to know that “he works all things for our good” including life’s challenges. The goal of this book is to encourage the reader on their walk with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Book excerpt: New York Times Bestseller and Wall Street Journal Bestseller! Bar Rescue's Jon Taffer presents a new guide to getting what you want in life and business--to stop making excuses so you can get back to winning. During his many years as an entrepreneur, consultant, and star of the Paramount Network's hit show Bar Rescue, Jon Taffer has witnessed the destruction that results when people bullsh*t themselves. Excuses are the root cause of nearly every business and personal problem, but fortunately, Jon knows how to fix your excuse habit for good. This book is almost as good as having Jon in your face on Bar Rescue, telling you the hard truths you've been avoiding. Don't Bullsh*t Yourself! is Jon Taffer's brutally honest, no-nonsense guide to help you kick those excuses to the curb. If you can stop bullsh*tting yourself and address your real issues, you will gain the power to turn your life around completely. Taffer breaks excuses down into six major categories, illustrating them with real-life examples such as Marcus Luttrell, the lone survivor of a SEAL team mission in Afghanistan who barely escaped Taliban territory, and Christine King, founder and CEO of Your Best Fit, who, despite being paralyzed in a horrific boating accident, went on to build a successful fitness company. These inspiring stories, combined with Taffer's own experiences, will give you the confidence to identify and face your own excuses head-on. It's Taffer Time! Time to stop bullsh*tting yourself and start crushing it!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A vigorous attack on moral responsibility in all its forms argues that the abolition of moral responsibility will be liberating and beneficial. In Against Moral Responsibility, Bruce Waller launches a spirited attack on a system that is profoundly entrenched in our society and its institutions, deeply rooted in our emotions, and vigorously defended by philosophers from ancient times to the present. Waller argues that, despite the creative defenses of it by contemporary thinkers, moral responsibility cannot survive in our naturalistic-scientific system. The scientific understanding of human behavior and the causes that shape human character, he contends, leaves no room for moral responsibility. Waller argues that moral responsibility in all its forms—including criminal justice, distributive justice, and all claims of just deserts—is fundamentally unfair and harmful and that its abolition will be liberating and beneficial. What we really want—natural human free will, moral judgments, meaningful human relationships, creative abilities—would survive and flourish without moral responsibility. In the course of his argument, Waller examines the origins of the basic belief in moral responsibility, proposes a naturalistic understanding of free will, offers a detailed argument against moral responsibility and critiques arguments in favor of it, gives a general account of what a world without moral responsibility would look like, and examines the social and psychological aspects of abolishing moral responsibility. Waller not only mounts a vigorous, and philosophically rigorous, attack on the moral responsibility system, but also celebrates the benefits that would result from its total abolition.
