Ma siccome vi sono molte parole inglesi che non hanuo suoni corrispondenti nella favella italiana, fu impossibile soddisfare interamente questo desiderio: lo dette difficolta sono enumerate in fine di questa Prefazione, ed e indicato il modo di spiegarle; ma per apprendere la Vera pronunzia di qualsiasi lingua, e d' uopo ricorrere ad un maestro nativo del paese in cui vien parlata. E non ad uno che appartiene ad altra nazione; essendo cosa raris sima il trovare nu forestiero che non abbia qualche difetto nella pronunzia; ed, ammesso una volta un erro're, lo sradicarlo diviene Opera troppo ardua.
