Giving the reader an in-depth understanding of significant features of the research area which have grown over the last 20 years: applications in the management field; methodologies; policies at industry level; and healthcare, this book is an invaluable read for those who do not have any prior expertise in the field. Split into four parts, the collection covers the broad use of SD in the field of management, focuses on the use of modelling in supply chains and at industry level, and presents an analysis of the use of SD in its most promising area, healthcare. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the effects of European integration become more widely felt the effective teaching of modern languages is moving towards the centre of the educational agenda and more and more schools are considering starting pupils on a first foreign language other than French - a development encouraged by the National Curriculum orders in Modern Languages. Diversification in Modern Language Teaching gives language teachers and heads of department the evidence upon which to decide if diversification is right for them. It looks at the factors which effect children's learning in this area and at the managerial issues both within and outside the school. Throughout it argues that the decision must be a purely educational one, based on pupil motivation and accessibility as well as on particular local strengths among staff and parents.

Book Synopsis The Diversification of the Educational Field in Hungary by : Péter Inkei
Download or read book The Diversification of the Educational Field in Hungary written by Péter Inkei and published by . This book was released on 1988 with total page 84 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Education throughout the world has become increasingly diversified, moving from the traditional education of children to increasingly more education of adults outside formal school settings. This case study on Hungary is one of a series of studies that were conducted to map out the different components of the diversified educational field and analyze their relative importance; to identify the main factors, educational and societal, that are influencing the diversification process; and to examine the role of planning in that process. This study, the first of the series, gives special attention to the discussion of the conceptual issues involved in analyzing the diversification of the educational field. It also illustrates the urgent need to develop a good information base on the wide variety of educational activities taking place outside the formal school system. The book's six chapters describe the following: (1) the concept of educational diversification and its application to the Hungarian context; (2) a glance at Hungary; (3) the regular educational system in Hungary; (4) the first wave of diversification in Hungary--the creation of the system of supplementary education; (5) the second wave of diversification of education--the expansion of nonregular education; and (6) diversification of education and central policy and planning. Book Synopsis Industrialization and Economic Diversification by : Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka
Download or read book Industrialization and Economic Diversification written by Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2022-04-14 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Economic diversification entails a shift away from a single income source toward multiple income sources from an increasing spectrum of sectors and markets. A persistent concern for some Asian and African economies is their reliance on commodity exports and how they are exposed to the risk of export volatility and income instability. The Covid-19 pandemic and previous oil crashes have demonstrated the adverse impact on such economies. This book provides a systemic analysis of sustainable economic development through economic diversification. The book analyzes diversification and development experiences from comparative perspectives of Asia and Africa. It also investigates determinants of export diversification differentiated by commodities-dependence versus manufactured products and looks at the roles of various institutions and governance of institutions in export diversification. This book will provide policy insights into how different degrees of specialisation in exports across countries have affected outcomes in terms of living standards, economic growth and employment.

Book excerpt: During recent decades, Korea has been one of only a handful of countries that have made the successful transformation to become a developed nation by simultaneously achieving persistent economic growth combined with a democratic political system. Experts and political leaders worldwide have attributed this achievement to investments in people or, in other words, the power of education. Whilst numerous books have highlighted the role of industrial policies, technological growth, and international trade in Korea’s development process, this is one of the first to focus on the role of human capital. It shows how the accumulation of human capital aided transformation and helps explain the policies, strategies and challenges that Korea faces now and in the future.
