Am Beispiel der digitalen Gesundheitsanwendungen (DiGA) werden besondere Anforderungen des GKV-Systems qualitativ herausgearbeitet. Darüber hinaus werden explorativ spezifische Faktoren eruiert. In der Fallstudie werden die gewählten Fälle zugelassener DiGA auf die Erfüllung der Anforderungen überprüft. An Beispielen erläutert die Verfasserin die mögliche Bewältigung der Herausforderungen. Abschließend werden Empfehlungen für DiGA-Hersteller herausgearbeitet. Mit dem digitalen Versorgungsgesetz (DVG) wurde die Zulassung von digitalen Gesundheitsinnovationen in die gesetzliche Krankenversicherung erleichtert. Zwar gibt es eine große Nachfrage in den App-Stores zu frei zugänglichen Gesundheits-Apps. Diese Nachfrage spiegelt sich jedoch nicht im GKV-System wider. Anhand der Verordnungsdaten aus dem DiGA-Bericht des GKV-Spitzenverbands, sowie des DIGA-Reports 2022 von der Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) lässt sich ablesen, dass es bisher kaum Ausbreitung von DiGA in der GKV gibt. Es liegen zur Annahme und Akzeptanz von digitalen Innovationen bereits viele Forschungsergebnisse und Modelle zur Erklärung individueller Entscheidungen zur Übernahme und Nutzung einer Innovation durch Individuen im privaten Markt vor. Anbieter von digitalen Gesundheitsinnovationen müssen jedoch für die Annahme ihrer Produkte und Dienstleistungen im GKV-System ein wesentlich tieferes Verständnis über Entscheidungsvorgänge der beteiligten Stakeholder erarbeiten, da Entscheidungsprozesse durch mehrere Beteiligte beeinflusst werden können. Diese systemische Betrachtung ist bisher vor allem in angloamerikanischen Gesundheitssystemen angewandt worden. In Deutschland ist diese Forschung weniger verbreitet. Am Beispiel der jahrelangen Hindernisse bei der Einführung der elektronischen Gesundheitskarte erkennt man jedoch, dass allein die Sichtweise auf das Produkt und den einzelnen Kunden nicht ausreichend ist.
