Hierauf schrieb Anselm eine ausführliche Antwort - den "Liber apologeticus contra Gaunilonem respondentem pro insipiente."" Diese Quellenbeiträge und Untersuchungen zur Geschichte der Gottesbeweise im dreizehnten Jahrhundert mit besonderer Berücksichtigung des Arguments im Proslogion des hl. Anselm sind ein unveränderter Nachdruck der Originalausgabe von 1909.
