Mit der COPSY-Studie erschien schon im ersten Pandemiejahr ein umfassender Überblick über den seelischen Gesundheitszustand von Schülerinnen und Schülern. Es folgten weitere Studien, die ein neues und dynamisches Forschungsfeld eröffneten. Neben all diesen neuen Erkenntnissen darf jedoch auch nicht der Blick auf die schon seit Jahren existierenden Kenntnisse namhafter Soziologen, Psychologen und Pädagogen wie beispielsweise Klaus Hurrelmann fehlen. Die Grundlagen der Sozialisation finden auch in diesem neueren Forschungsgebiet Anklang und liefern wesentliche Erkenntnisse. Am Anfang der COVID-19-Pandemie gab es weltweit große Unsicherheiten. Was macht dieses Virus, ist es überhaupt gefährlich, welche Maßnahmen sind zur Eindämmung sinnvoll? Neben diesen fundamental wichtigen Fragen wurden global Maßnahmen wie Schulschließungen und Lockdowns beschlossen. Doch was wir immer noch nicht wissen ist, wie sich die Pandemie auf die Entwicklung und seelische Gesundheit junger Heranwachsender auswirkt, auch mit Blick auf mögliche langfristige Folgen.

Ziel der vorliegenden Bachelor-Thesis ist es, aus Sicht von betreuenden Sozialpädagog*innen einen Einblick in das Erleben von Kindern und Jugendlichen in der stationären Kinder- und Jugendhilfe während der COVID-19-Pandemie zu geben und Rückschlüsse auf deren psychosoziale Gesundheit zu ziehen. Dazu wird folgende Forschungsfrage gestellt: „Wie erleben Sozialpädagog*innen die psychosoziale Gesundheit von Kindern und Jugendlichen in der stationären Kinder- und Jugendhilfe während der COVID-19-Pandemie?“ Um die Forschungsfrage zu beantworten, wurde ein qualitatives Forschungsdesign gewählt und ein teilstandardisiertes Leitfadeninterview durchgeführt. Insgesamt wurden fünf Sozialpädagoginnen aus drei verschiedenen Bundesländern interviewt. Im Anschluss an die Interviews erfolgte eine strukturierte Inhaltsanalyse nach Mayring sowie eine deduktiv-induktive Kategorienbildung. Die qualitative Forschungsarbeit zeigt, dass Kinder und Jugendliche, die sich während der COVID-19-Pandemie in der stationären Kinder- und Jugendhilfe befinden, in ihrer psychosozialen Gesundheit insbesondere während eines Lockdowns beeinträchtigt sind. Aus den Ergebnissen lassen sich verschiedene Handlungsmaßnahmen und weiterer Forschungsbedarf ableiten.

In early 2004, when Dr. Michael DeVita informed me that he was cons- ering a textbook on the new concept of Medical Emergency Teams (METs), I was surprised. At Presbyterian-University Hospital in Pittsburgh we int- duced this idea some 15 years ago, but did not think it was revolutionary enough to publish. This, even though, our fellows in critical care medicine training were all involved and informed about the importance of “C- dition C (Crisis),” as it was called to distinguish it from “Condition A (Arrest). ”We thought it absurd to intervene only after cardiac arrest had occurred,because most cases showed prior deterioration and cardiac arrest could be prevented with rapid team work to correct precluding problems. The above thoughts were logical in Pittsburgh, where the legendary Dr. Peter Safar had been working since the late 1950s on improving current resuscitation techniques, ?rst ventilation victims of apneic from drowning, treatment of smoke inhalation, and so on. This was followed by external cardiac compression upon demonstration of its ef?ciency in cases of unexpected sudden cardiac arrest. Dr. Safar devoted his entire professional life to improvement of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. He and many others emphasized the importance of getting the CPR team to o- of-hospital victims of cardiac arrest as quickly as possible.
