Book excerpt: Resumen: Se realizó un diagnóstico de la Biblioteca de la Universidad La Gran Colombia, Seccional armenia, con base en los requisitos de la norma NTC-ISO 9001:2000, cuyo objetivo fue establecer la base conceptual para la implementación del Sistema de Gestión de Calidad. Se obtuvo un nivel de cumplimiento general del 33% respecto a los requisitos de la norma, teniendo los mayores porcentajes en el punto 6 (Gestión de los recursos) con un 66% y el 7% (Prestación del servicio) con 55%. Respecto al menor porcentaje de cumplimiento, este correspondió al 3% en el numeral 4 (Sistema de Gestión de Calidad). Como resultado del análisis se estructuró su base documental, mediante un Manual de Calidad que describe en líneas generales el sistema de gestión de la calidad, los Procedimientos generales que despliegan las acciones necesarias con el objeto de cumplir los requisitos de la norma, la caracterización de Procesos que describen la forma particular de realizar las actividades, los formatos y registros de calidad. La documentación del sistema de gestión de los laboratorios se desarrolla así: Documentos de Gestión: Manual de Calidad, Gestión de Compras, Gestión de los recursos, Gestión Estratégica: Documentos Técnicos: Gestión Técnica. El diseño de Sistema de Gestión de Calidad de los Laboratorios de Docencia de la Facultad de Ingeniería, aporta de manera significativa a los procesos de acreditación de alta calidad de los programas de Ingeniería Agroindustrial e Ingeniería de Sistemas. Será la base de la certificación de los procesos académicos de la facultad. Aumentara la aceptación de los usuarios frente al servicio. Los usuarios de los laboratorios se benefician de los procesos de Calidad, en cuanto las prácticas allí realizadas, contarán con la mayoría de los requerimientos de la norma 17025:2005, estas aplicaciones se verán reflejadas en los resultados de los análisis realizados en los laboratorios.

Es por ello que surge la guía GTC 200 para la implementación de la Norma ISO 9001 en establecimientos de educación formal en los niveles de preescolar, básica, media y en establecimientos de educación no formal, teniendo por objetivo constituir directrices que guíen a estos establecimientos que prestan servicios de educación. “Se anima a los establecimientos educativos a tener un entendimiento claro de los 8 principios (1.
