Book Synopsis Digital Filtering in One and Two Dimensions by : M. Ahmadi
Download or read book Digital Filtering in One and Two Dimensions written by M. Ahmadi and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-06-29 with total page 480 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book has been conceived to extend the generally published work on one- and two-dimensional digital filters in order to include some of the more recently developed ideas. It is intended to supplement and build on the classical books which cover the fundamental concepts of the topic. As a consequence of this, the basic theory is stated in a compact manner and is not developed thoroughly, as this would result in considerable duplication of existing books. The main theme of the book has been to provide a comprehensive background to the methods available for the realization of both recursive and nonrecursive digital filters, and to give an insight into some of the more recent implementation procedures. The book is planned to cover one- and two-dimensional systems in parallel, showing the techniques which are applicable in both areas, and also the limitations and constraints necessary when a one-dimensional technique is extended to systems of higher dimensionality. The theme of the book commences with several chapters on the design of filter transfer functions to meet given specifications. This is followed by a discussion of methods of implementing these in a practical system and the limitations imposed as a result of noise and finite word length. Finally, a discussion of some applications is included.
Book Synopsis Magnitude and Delay Approximation of 1-D and 2-D Digital Filters by : Belle A. Shenoi
Download or read book Magnitude and Delay Approximation of 1-D and 2-D Digital Filters written by Belle A. Shenoi and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The most outstanding feature of this book is its treatment of the design of filters that approximate a constant group delay, and both the prescribed magnitude and group delay response of one-dimensional as well as two-dimensional digital filters. It thus fills a gap in the literature, that has almost exclusively dealt with the magnitude response of the filter transfer function until now. Contains many of the important results that have only recently appeared in professional journals.

Book Synopsis Photonic Signal Processing, Second Edition by : Le Nguyen Binh
Download or read book Photonic Signal Processing, Second Edition written by Le Nguyen Binh and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2019-01-15 with total page 599 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Second Edition of "Photonic Signal Processing" updates most recent R&D on processing techniques of signals in photonic domain from the fundamentals given in its first edition. Several modern techniques in Photonic Signal Processing (PSP) are described: Graphical signal flow technique to simplify the analysis of the photonic transfer functions, plus its insights into the physical phenomena of such processors. The resonance and interference of optical fields are presented by the poles and zeros of the optical circuits, respectively. Detailed design procedures for fixed and tunable optical filters. These filters, "brick-wall-like", now play a highly important role in ultra-broadband (100GBaud) to spectral shaping of sinc temporal response so as to generate truly Nyquist sampler of the received eye diagrams 3-D PSP allows multi-dimensional processing for highly complex optical signals Photonic differentiators and integrators for dark soliton generations. Optical dispersion compensating processors for ultra-long haul optical transmission systems. Some optical devices essentials for PSP. Many detailed PSP techniques are given in the chapters of this Second Edition.

Book Synopsis Theory and Application of Digital Control by : A. K. Mahalanabis
Download or read book Theory and Application of Digital Control written by A. K. Mahalanabis and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2014-05-20 with total page 705 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Theory and Application of Digital Control contains the proceedings of the IFAC Symposium held at New Delhi, India on January 5-7, 1982. This book particularly presents the texts of the five plenary talks and the 110 papers of the symposium. This book organizes the papers into 109 chapters, with nearly one-third of the papers focus on digital control, particularly, software and hardware of control using microcomputers; computer-aided design; and adaptive control and modeling for digital control. Another set of papers deal with several applications of digital control techniques in solving interesting problems of socio economic systems, electrical power systems, bio systems, and artificial satellites. The reader will benefit hugely from the topics in this book that span several important theoretical and applied areas of the fast-changing topic of digital control.
Book Synopsis Introductory Digital Signal Processing with Computer Applications by : Paul A. Lynn
Download or read book Introductory Digital Signal Processing with Computer Applications written by Paul A. Lynn and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 1998-06-11 with total page 495 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "An excellent introductory book" (Review of the First Edition in the International Journal of Electrical Engineering Education) " it will serve as a reference book in this area for a long time" (Review of Revised Edition in Zentralblatt für Mathematik (Germany)) Firmly established as the essential introductory Digital Signal Processing (DSP) text, this second edition reflects the growing importance of random digital signals and random DSP in the undergraduate syllabus by including two new chapters. The authors' practical, problem-solving approach to DSP continues in this new material, which is backed up by additional worked examples and computer programs. The book now features: * fundamentals of digital signals and systems * time and frequency domain analysis and processing, including digital convolution and the Discrete and Fast Fourier Transforms * design and practical application of digital filters * description and processing of random signals, including correlation, filtering, and the detection of signals in noise Programs in C and equivalent PASCAL are listed in an Appendix. Typical results and graphic plots from all the programs are illustrated and discussed in the main text. The overall approach assumes no prior knowledge of electronics, computing, or DSP. An ideal text for undergraduate students in electrical, electronic and other branches of engineering, computer science, applied mathematics and physics. Practising engineers and scientists will also find this a highly accessible introduction to an increasingly important field.
