Sind die Opfer auch noch männlich, so handelt es sich um ein Tabuthema innerhalb eines Tabuthemas. Lange Zeit war nicht ausreichend bekannt, dass auch Jungen Opfer von sexuellem Missbrauch sind und erst seit den neunziger Jahren begann man sich mit dieser Thematik zu beschäftigen. Trotzdem sind die Jungen als Opfer von sexuellem Missbrauch bis heute wenig beachtet geblieben. Wie wichtig die Auseinandersetzung mit diesem gesellschaftlichen Problem ist, zeigt sich daran, dass es gerade männlichen Opfern besonders schwer fällt, sich als Opfer zu offenbaren. Wenn die Medien über dieses Thema berichten, dann geschieht dies überwiegend dramatisierend und wenig sachlich. Der Informations- und Kenntnisstand in der Bevölkerung beschränkt sich oft auf die stereotypischen Informationen aus den Medien. Es ist also noch viel Aufklärungsarbeit notwendig, um eine Enttabuisierung voranzutreiben, den allgemeinen Kenntnisstand zu verbessern und damit auch einen größeren präventiven Schutz für die Opfer zu gewährleisten. Diese Arbeit soll dazu einen kleinen Beitrag leisten, indem sie versucht einen Überblick über diese Thematik zu geben. Zudem stellte sich mir die Frage, welche Schlussfolgerungen sich aus einer näheren Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema für die Soziale Arbeit ergeben. Daher soll am Ende meiner Arbeit für den Bereich der Sozialen Arbeit, in welchem in vielen Kontexten mit Kindern und Familien gearbeitet wird, Konsequenzen abgeleitet werden.

Dieser Punkt enthält drei wesentliche Bausteine, die die Prävention als Ganzes zusammenfasst. Ziel ist es, zu untersuchen, wie wirkungsvoll das Präventionsprogramm in ihrer inhaltlichen Struktur und Durchführung ist. In den vergangenen zehn Jahren haben sich die Daten zum sexuellen Missbrauch im Bereich der Verbreitung in Deutschland ersichtlich verbessert. Verantwortlich hierfür sind die Erfahrungen aus der Praxis, die der Weiterentwicklung in der Forschung dienen. Zudem wurden verschiedene Perspektiven und die Praxiserfahrungen zu kontrollierten Herangehensweisen gerahmt. Erst durch den ersichtlichen Erfolg der westlichen Länder bezüglich der Zurückdrängung sexueller Gewalt gegen Kinder und Jugendliche legte auch die Republik Deutschland ihren Fokus auf die Aufklärung, Prävention und Strafverfolgung sexuellen Missbrauchs. Viele Menschen und Institutionen bewegt die Arbeit gegen sexuelle Gewalt an Kindern und Jugendlichen aufgrund des so jungen Klientels. Die Anzahl der Fälle ist hier in Deutschland konstant hoch. Etwa jedes vierte bis fünfte Mädchen und jeder zwölfte Junge ist betroffen. Dabei dürfte die Dunkelziffer deutlich höher liegen. Aufgrund dessen wird die gesellschaftliche Bedeutung von sexueller Gewalt gegenüber Kindern und Jugendlichen deutlich und dagegen muss schnellstmöglich vorgegangen werden. Systematische Aufarbeitungsprojekte gibt es erst seit etwa 2010.
