Ebenso soll den Fragen nachgegangen werden, wie durch den "Religionsunterricht für alle" das Konzept des Dialogischen Religionsunterrichts umgesetzt wird und welche Chancen und Grenzen dieses real umgesetzte Modell bietet sowie der daran anschließenden Frage, inwiefern eine Umsetzung für andere Bundesländer denkbar wäre und an welche Bedingungen dies geknüpft ist. "Von einer misstrauisch beäugten Variante des Religionsunterrichts am äußersten Rande des verfassungsrechtlich Erlaubten ist er zu einer interessanten, akzeptierten und von vielen sogar geschätzten Alternative zwischen konfessionellem Religionsunterricht und Religionskunde geworden." Mit diesen Worten beschreibt Knauth den "Religionsunterricht für alle" aus der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg. Er stellt die Wahrnehmungsentwicklung dieses in den 1990er Jahren entstanden Konzeptes für einen neu gedachten Religionsunterricht an Hamburgs öffentlichen Schulen dar und macht dabei deutlich, dass die anfängliche Polarisierung, die von nahezu jedem neuen Konzept ausgeht, welches traditionelles Denken übersteigt, in eine stabile und anerkannte pädagogische Neuorientierung überging.

The secularisation paradigm has lost its explanatory power and the newly coined term ‘post-secularism’ is used to describe the realisation that in the current social transformation, religion cannot be ignored any longer.
