Book excerpt: In the aftermath of her divorce from a covert narcissist, the author realized that there were two components to what she experienced: the intellectual, and the spiritual. While intellectual awareness provided understanding, healing came through submission and surrender to Jesus. The reason why the Word of God is called the Sword of the Spirit is that it is the weapon that destroys evil in the spiritual realm. You also can move from understanding the traits and characteristics of covert narcissists to becoming strong and victorious in Christ. Jesus wants you. He wants you to find peace in His presence. He wants to restore you, heal you, and bless you more than you can ever fathom. Give Him permission, and use His Word. Page | 2

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What do we all humans have in common? We are all incorrigible seekers of bliss or joy. Our minds are wired to be happy. At least that is what our modern scientific studies contend. Yet most of us know we are not joyful. In fact, we struggle most of time to be and stay happy. What has gone wrong? I have attempted to answer this question in this book. It has been my own journey to arrive at lasting happiness and joy. It builds on the informational, computational foundation of our universe developed in the first book of this series, Road to Digital Divine. It combines latest science of mind and matter with spirituality, putting forth a new concept of our self, the quantum self rooted in the informational nature of our being. Most of us are familiar with our physical self that we see in the mirror. It, however, does not define us completely. What is critical for us to know is our informational self. Knowing the true nature of this self and acting accordingly is essential for us humans to achieve good emotional health and realize lasting joy in our lives. In fact, not knowing or ignoring the messages from this essential nature of our self is the leading reason for suffering in our human society. I paint this self as a tale of three minds: emotional, rational, and cosmic. The three minds computationally synchronized lead to the birth of informational self. This self is a computationally astute structure. It computes using two modes of computation. Each of these modes lead to two extreme personalities. One, binary computation, which leads to a nature of self that courts “I, me, and mine” tendencies. I have called this as our binary self. And the other, quantum computation, which leads to a nature of self with “us, we, and ours” tendencies. I call this as our quantum self. Both these nature of self are quite familiar in today’s society. The binary information processing leads to egoic entity, which is present in most of us. It dominates today’s human society. It is responsible for incredible progress that humans have made as a surviving species, but it is also responsible for most of the sufferings that modern humans face today. The quantum self has saintlike nature. It feels love, empathy, and oneness with others. It is truthful and always stays in the company of divinity. It is responsible for widespread altruism in nature and in humans. With two selves of very different nature in one body, modern humans have learned the meaning of the word “suffering.” Which self will win? Which is our true self? Understanding of this fact is not trivial. In fact, it is nothing short of enlightenment as I explain how the understanding of our true self can lead one on to this path. It can make a profound change in one’s perspective. The joy pouring from deep within is at the root of this reality.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is a reason you were drawn to this book. Maybe you feel dissatisfied with your career or your relationships. Maybe you’ve lost a loved one, or you’re dealing with health challenges. Maybe you’re just getting through the day, but you know—you feel certain—that there is more to this thing called life. In Deep Within the Mirror, Linda De Vellis details her own life’s hardships—losing her mother at a young age, divorce, single motherhood, financial scarcity, breast cancer, heartbreak—and how she found the strength and drive to become the happy, successful, empowered person she is today. Tender, wise, and uplifting, Deep Within the Mirror is both an intimate memoir and a user-friendly guide to a more meaningful and purposeful life. De Vellis asks us to take a long, hard look within and be honest about what we find there. In clear-eyed prose, she offers tools and encouragement to transform obstacles into learning experiences, find a greater sense of purpose, honor grief and heartbreak, make peace with our bodies, and move from a foundation of self-love so that no matter what setbacks we encounter, we can always come back to ourselves.

Book excerpt: When is the pen mightier than the sword? The pen became my weapon of choice to battle against life. I have gone from one traumatic event to the next and I will admit I have reached the tower on more than one occasion. I am still here and throughout this book I would like to share my experiences, my thoughts and my actions also how contradictory it is that I have become the person that I am to this very day. Poetry is not a dying art, it just needs to be revived back into general society. People either as confident as they seem or they think they are, will at some point in their lives need reassurance, understanding, empathy, sympathy and most importantly, the love of another human being. We all need to know that no matter how bad things seem, keep hold because not all hope is not lost in life, but instead a mere hurdle in the way that will eventually be removed upon finding resolve. The introduction is actual factors of my life and the poetry I have wrote was my way of surviving.

Book excerpt: At the age of forty-six, philosopher and university professor Helmut Dubiel was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. In the early stages of his sickness, fearing censure and ostracism, Dubiel did his utmost to conceal his condition. But when his symptoms became too obvious to camouflage, he was obliged to admit defeat and decided to undergo deep brain stimulation surgery. Following this operation, Dubiel found himself in possession of a peculiar power: with little more than the flick of a switch he was able to choose between a personality defined as irascible and maudlin and the lucid, quick-thinking academic he had always been. In this fascinating book, Dubiel describes the course of his illness with a philosopher's aplomb, ennobling his personal experience with intellectual flair and scientific insight as he makes connections between his own medical drama and some of today's most significant global tendencies. Above all,Deep Within the Brain describes a battle: the battle between the inclination to give up, to view oneself as dead to the world, and the force necessary to reinvent oneself and rise above one's illness. Devoid of self-pity, Dubiel vanquishes his illness by using it as a source of philosophical reflection on the twofold nature of modern medicine, the meaning of success and acceptance, and the true nature of that capricious creature we call "I".

Book excerpt: Comparing the intertwining complexity of the Book of Kells with the complexity of our relationship with those we love and care for, Love So Deep Within weaves the difficult subjects of dying and living with cancer into a memoir of one whose recent journey takes you beyond the doors to both worlds. The Book of Kells was written during times of immense struggles within the world for dominance and power in approximately AD 800; however, a small group of monks off the coast of Ireland were diligent in creating a masterpiece of the four gospels of the Bible, illuminated with vibrant, rare colors and tints of the images of life and featuring figures of humans, animals, and mythical beasts together with interlacing patterns. Love So Deep Within tells us a story of not giving up and of compassion to the very end. It tells us of the richness of our experience of living with those who are close to death, and yet live with us stillof the passage of time, inconsequential and yet full of transition and of a time so precious to us that it lingers. And that this time is a powerful gift. Love So Deep Within is a story of love, compassion, and hope for caregivers everywhere.

Book excerpt: Emily Taylor, a young headmistress from Yorkshire, first sails aboard the RMS ‘Lusitania’ in 1910 whilst travelling to attend a family wedding on Long Island in America. During that first voyage, she makes a number of acquaintances, all with secrets in their pasts: Amelia Davenport, a flamboyant elderly widow with a salacious history, who is emigrating to America with her son and his family; Sam Jackson, a tough New York Police Inspector, driven by a personal vendetta; Christian Verholt, the heir to a wealthy banking dynasty whose double life includes a mysterious partner; and Niall Branigan, the charming Irish doctor whose twinkling emerald eyes mask hidden family secrets. But as the threat of the First World War looms, it is not only Emily’s life that changes dramatically as a consequence of these encounters, but also the lives of those close to her back in England.
