This book was released on 1998 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a unique compilation on the use of leaching/extraction methods in different fields. The use of leaching test methods is increasing in various areas including: waste treatment and disposal; incineration of waste; soil clean-up and reuse of cleaned soil; sludge treatment. This has led to (and may increasingly lead to) the development of a large number of very similar tests in these different fields. However, these developments are taking place with no clear understanding of their mutual relationships. In view of these developments, efforts are needed to harmonize the leaching procedures that could be adapted for different matrices, as well as validate the use of existing tests in other fields. The development of a wide variety of leaching/extraction tests for different matrices is undesirable from a regulatory point of view and undesirable for industry. Clarity in testing is crucial in producer-consumer relations. This collective document will assist in improving the understanding of leaching from a variety of sources and will, where appropriate, help to bring together the approaches used in different technical fields and in different countries.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: L'ETUDE DE LA QUALITE DU LOT ET DU RIOU MORT MONTRE QUE LES MESURES PRISES POUR LIMITER LA POLLUTION METALLIQUE ONT REDUIT DE MANIERE SIGNIFICATIVE LES CONCENTRATIONS DE ZN ET CD EN SOLUTION. PENDANT NOTRE ETUDE, LES CONCENTRATIONS MOYENNES DE ZN ET CD EN SOLUTION DANS LE RIOU MORT ONT ETE RESPECTIVEMENT DE 2,8 PPM ET 87.10#-#3 PPM. LES CONCENTRATIONS SONT FORTEMENT DEPENDANTES DU DEBIT DU RUISSEAU. LA PRECIPITATION DE ZNCO3 ET CDCO3 PEUT AUSSI PARFOIS CONTROLER LA SOLUBILITE DES METAUX. DANS LE LOT EN AVAL DE LA CONFLUENCE AVEC LE RIOU MORT, LA DILUTION PARTICIPE A LA BAISSE DES TENEURS, MAIS D'AUTRES PHENOMENES DOIVENT AUSSI INTERVENIR (ADSORPTION ?). LA CONCENTRATION MOYENNE DE ZN A ETE DE 25.10#-#3 PPM TANDIS QUE LE CD ETAIT FREQUEMMENT INFERIEUR A NOTRE LIMITE DE DETECTION (0,5 10#-#3 PPM). DES VARIATIONS PONCTUELLES ET SAISONNIERES DE LA PHYSICO-CHIMIE DE L'EAU ONT ETE MISES EN EVIDENCE. DANS LES SEDIMENTS RECENTS LES CONCENTRATIONS MOYENNES SONT ENCORE ELEVEES: 100 ET 20 PPM DE CD, 4200 ET 1020 DE ZN ET, 330 ET 140 DE PB, RESPECTIVEMENT DANS LE RIOU MORT ET A CAPDENAC-GARE. IL EXISTE VRAISEMBLABLEMENT PLUSIEURS TYPES D'ASSOCIATIONS ENTRE LES METAUX LOURDS ET DIVERS COMPOSANTS DES SEDIMENTS (MATIERE ORGANIQUE, OXYDES DE FER, CARBONATES). DES VARIATIONS SAISONNIERES ET SYNCHRONES DES CONCENTRATIONS EN ZN, CD ET PB DANS LES SEDIMENTS DU LOT A CAPDENAC-GARE ONT ETE MISES EN EVIDENCE. LE TRANSPORT DES METAUX LOURDS SE FAIT PRINCIPALEMENT SOUS FORME PARTICULAIRE. L'ETUDE DES RELATIONS ENTRE LE LOT ET LA NAPPE ALLUVIALE DE CAPDENAC-GARE MONTRE QU'UNE FRACTION IMPORTANTE DE L'EAU POMPEE DANS LE CHAMP CAPTANT PEUT PROVENIR DE LA RIVIERE VIA LES BERGES. DANS LES BERGES ET L'AQUIFERE, LA MINERALISATION DE LA MATIERE ORGANIQUE PAR LES MICRO-ORGANISMES PEUT ENTRAINER LOCALEMENT UNE REDUCTION DES CONDITIONS D'OXYDOREDUCTION PROVOQUANT UNE MISE EN SOLUTION DU MANGANESE NATURELLEMENT PRESENT DANS LES SEDIMENTS. PRES DES BERGES, CES CONDITIONS ASSEZ REDUCTRICES, APPARAISSENT LORSQUE LA TEMPERATURE DE L'EAU EST SUPERIEURE A 10C. ELLES NE SEMBLENT PAS AVOIR PROVOQUE LA REMOBILISATION DES METAUX LOURDS PRESENTS DANS LES SEDIMENTS DU LOT ET LEUR TRANSPORT JUSQU'AUX OUVRAGES SITUES A PROXIMITE DE LA RIVIERE. LES EXPERIENCES D'ACIDIFICATION EN LABORATOIRE CONFIRMENT QUE DANS LE RIOU MORT, LES CARBONATES CONTROLENT LA SOLUBILISATION DU ZN ET CD LORSQUE LE PH EST SUPERIEUR A 5,5 (ZN) ET 6,5 (CD). DANS LE LOT, ET POUR DES PH FAIBLES DANS LE RIOU MORT, LES METAUX LOURDS SEMBLENT CONTROLES PAR L'ADSORPTION
