And now and then someone took pity and befriended me, and was there when I tried to talk. But for years after I would still awake screaming in the night, terrified, thousands of miles away, dreaming it over and over " David Johnson is a young man on the run. Behind him lies the wreckage of a broken childhood and a broken home. The memory of beatings that never end. The piercing hatred in his mother's eyes. Behind David Johnson lies a past as harsh and vivid as an open wound-a dream that becomes a nightmare from which he may not wake. Boston. Paris. New York. New Orleans. Hobbs, New Mexico. San Francisco and L.A. There is no pattern to David Johnson's flight, and no direction. What friends he makes along the way he quickly loses. The jobs he has are meaningless. His future is as empty and as threatening as his past. And then comes the day when David Johnson discovers he can run no further-that the nightmare of his life is not a dream at all. The story of David's descent into madness and the brutally affirmative beginnings of his struggle up again is an extraordinary reading experience. The voice of the narrator is the voice of one who has known the pain of which he writes-and savored the triumph of his survival. By his candor and art, he makes that pain and triumph ours.

Book excerpt: Redbeard the Pirate is a satirical story about the former sailors and officers of a moth-balled WW II destroyer who become bored with their post-war lives and who, on one dark night, steal their old ship and put to sea to become modern day gentleman pirates. There are many exciting adventures, action and comedy at every turn of the page. These men soon establish a nation on an island in the South Pacific, and are admitted to the United Nations to become a new force in world affairs. But the Navy is looking for them and wants their ship back. The problem is dealt with in a very surprising turn of events. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Big Sur and the Canyon, set on California's Central Coast, is a thrilling, at times humorous tale of perhaps the most magnificent terrain in America's national forests. High adventure mix with poetic and vivid descriptions of life in the backcountry-the interior of the Ventana Wilderness. Forest fires, camping, backpacking, near death experiences, along with the spiritual intensity of what Livingstone calls his 'cathedral of the forest" dot these pages in the midst of the great freedom hikers and horsemen know in the wild and beautiful interior: redwood canyons, streams and waterfalls, to the high open dry country along the Coast Ridge a mile above the vast blue Pacific. Steinbeck referred to these mountains as 'Eden", and as the 'dark and mysterious Santa Lucias", in his great novel, East of Eden. In this book with its many descriptions, the Ventana is the Garden of Eden. An arduous and sometimes dangerous teacher, but truly free. This book was released on 2004 with total page 632 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Radical Right and the Murder of John F. Kennedy: Stunning Evidence in the Assassination of the President Harrison E. Livingstone's major new book, the fifth of his works on the death of JFK, brings together for the first time all of the central evidence demonstrating a domestic Right Wing conspiracy rooted in Texas which assassinated the President on November 22, 1963. The book represents forty years of work. The book discusses in great detail the actual medical evidence and the forgery of the autopsy photographs and X-rays, which Mr. Livingstone first exposed, the alteration of the autopsy report, the framing of the designated patsy, Lee Harvey Oswald, and the substitution and fabrication of every single piece of evidence. It discusses the role played in the murder by some of the most powerful men in the country: Lyndon Johnson, J. Edgar Hoover, and Richard Nixon, as well as the rich oil men and companies who backed them. It then describes the cover-ups by the media, the major investigations over the years, the FBI, and the mind-control cooperation at work in the case to misdirect researchers and the public. The book describes in great detail the people and companies in Texas who planned and carried out the assassination. It names names. One recent investigation in the 90s followed Mr. Livingstone's preceeding work and reinvestigated with the witnesses both he and the official investigations had talked to, but this time took into consideration their documentation and what they had actually said, and in a chapter this is his stunning new evidence from the U.S. government under President Clinton that is blowing the lid off the case. Mr. Livingstone first revealed to the Washington press corps in 1998 that there has been such a secret investigation, and spoke for fifty minutes when the Assassination Records Review Board gave their final press conference. As a result, Mr. Livingstone was on all major TV networks and on the "Today" show (NBC) with Katie Couric the next morning. The book also contains the story of Dallas doctor Charles Crenshaw's law suit and the depositions of the editor and writer of the Journal of American Medical Association who libeled him in articles in 1992. Dr. Crenshaw's book about trying to save Kennedy at Parkland Hospital shortly after the shooting came out on the same day as Mr. Livingstone's major work on the medical evidence, High Treason 2, were JAMA's targets, and the depositions contain much discussion of Mr. Livingstone's major impact on the JFK case. This new book is to be followed closely by a sixth book entirely about the Zapruder film, called The Hoax of the Century: Decoding the Forgery of the Zapruder Film.
