Legend has it that the donkey that carried Jesus on Palm Sunday was the first donkey to receive this marking when Jesus died on the cross. This is a story of how that might have happened to a little donkey named Jubilee. Jubilee is changed forever when Jesus chooses her to carry him to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and as she follows him around the last week of his life here on earth. Most important in this story is the true story of Jesus and the good news of Resurrection Sunday!

Book Synopsis The Little Donkey by : George William Ryan
Download or read book The Little Donkey written by George William Ryan and published by Guardian Books. This book was released on 2014-03 with total page 26 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Palm Sunday/Easter Story for All Ages The uniqueness of this book is that the Lord, through a message given to a church on a Palm Sunday, inspired it. The message is for all ages, but especially for the young. It is meant to provide a sense of being special to the Lord no matter the child's age or situation. It brings the child and parent into a bond, while telling the story of a Saviour who loves both of them. It helps take away the fear of death with the knowledge that Jesus has provided a Heaven. It shows that Jesus rewards us no matter how small the task may seem and that He never forgets to reward. The story is biblically correct in that Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem on that day. If we are to lift up any animal on Palm Sunday it should be not a rabbit but a donkey, which is a sign of meekness and peace. Born in a small community in southern Ohio, George William Ryan graduated with a degree in chemistry and biology. He worked in the plastics field for such companies as B.F. Goodrich Co., Chrysler Corporation and Occidental Petroleum before starting a consulting business in 1974. He is presently the owner of the Ryan Development Corporation, serves on several boards and is listed as an expert executive by the International Executive Service Core as well as in the Who's Who Registry of the Society of Plastics Engineers. His most important work is as a servant of God and the current president of the Missionary Evangelical Church of Christ.

Young readers will learn about Jesus’ last week of life and about how He died for our sins. The Easter story shows Jesus riding into the city of Jerusalem on a donkey with people shouting, "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!" Next, Jesus is in the temple and turns over tables because the people were not worshipping God. Jesus celebrates with His disciples at the last supper and then prays in the Garden. Soon, soldiers arrest Jesus as He is betrayed by Judas. Jesus is taken to Pontius Pilate, who wants to release Jesus, but the people insist that He be crucified. Jesus dies on a cross and His body is placed in a large tomb. Even though a huge stone covers the entrance and soldiers guard the tomb, Jesus overcomes death. When two women, both named Mary, come to the tomb, the stone is rolled away. They discover that Jesus is alive and go and tell His disciples. Captivating illustrations of Jesus and simple text make reading along easy!
