El bullying y el ciberbullying suponen por su extensión y sus efectos (ansiedad, depresión, estrés, somatizaciones, problemas académicos, suicidio, violencia¿) un problema que hay que prevenir y afrontar. Para ello, son necesarias medidas de tipo educativo que impliquen a los centros, los estudiantes y sus familias. En este libro se presenta un programa de intervención para prevenir y reducir el ciberbullying (Cyberprogram 2.0). que incluye veinticinco actividades y que tiene cuatro objetivos: 1) identificar y conceptualizar bullying y ciberbullying, así como los roles implicados en este fenómeno; 2) analizar las consecuencias del bullying y ciberbullying tanto para las víctimas como para los agresores y los observadores, potenciando la capacidad crítica y de denuncia ante el conocimiento de este tipo de actuaciones; 3) desarrollar estrategias de afrontamiento para prevenir y/o intervenir en conductas de bullying y ciberbullying; y 4) promover objetivos transversales como aumentar la empatía, la capacidad de cooperación, la expresión de emociones, etc. La intervención la desarrolla un profesional de la Psicología y/o la Educación con grupos de adolescentes en contextos educativos y clínicos. Cyberprogram 2.0 ha sido validado experimentalmente y la evaluación confirmó su eficacia ya que la experiencia estimuló un aumento de las estrategias de resolución de conflictos cooperativas, de diversas conductas sociales positivas, de la autoestima y la empatía, así como una disminución de conductas de bullying y cyberbullying, de distintos tipos de violencia escolar, de la agresividad y del uso de estrategias agresivas como técnica de resolución de conflictos interpersonales.
