Download or read book Blessings And Curses written by Zacharias Tanee Fomum and published by ZTF Books Online. This book was released on 1900 with total page 235 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some people are operating under a curse, while others are operating under a blessing. Blessing is a supernatural force working to promote you and to advance you. When you are operating under a blessing, you rise to heights totally beyond any logical explanation of your talents, your gifts, and your abilities. On the other hand, a curse is an invisible force that frustrates you. An invisible force that is there to make you to be left out. A curse is as if you have an invisible enemy standing on your way. It’s as if there is an invisible barrier standing in your way. There are some people, who everything they touch goes wrong. Other people may be succeeding but when they get there, it goes wrong. Such people are said to be functioning under a curse. The author further explains that blessings and curses belong to the invisible. Blessings and curses are vehicles of supernatural spiritual power. Blessings produce good and beneficial results, while curses produce bad and harmful results. We send this book out with a heart cry that as you read it, you may be able to identify whether you are acting under a curse and cooperate with God for it to be broken. On the other hand, knowing that you are functioning under a blessing would help you to in a conscious way cooperate with God to continue abiding in His blessing.

Book Synopsis The Danger and Power of Hidden Curses by : Rev. James Solomon
Download or read book The Danger and Power of Hidden Curses written by Rev. James Solomon and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2024-07-17 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." (Hosea 4:6). A lot of times, there are certain predicaments or situations that occur in one's life that cannot be explained. What makes the situation worse is that this issue is not peculiar to that one person; it has been ongoing from one generation to another. Many times, believers find themselves caught in a cycle of unexplainable predicaments and tend to take it for granted, believing that it is normal. And because they are not knowledgeable about the subject of curses, these predicaments go on, making life a living hell for them. This book is an in-depth study on the subject of "curses" with emphasis on "hidden curses." With a lot of spiritual and prophetic insights, as well as scriptural and practical references, this book reveals what curses are, the different types of curses, how curses operate in one's life, and how a person can overcome and be totally delivered from any existing curse in his/her life. There are also prayers and scriptural declarations to reverse and cancel all curses. Dear brethren, if you have noticed any reoccurring pattern that leads to all kinds of vices in your life, then you must read this book, and the Almighty God will grant you complete victory and deliverance in Jesus's name. Book Synopsis The Works of Aphra Behn (Complete) by : Aphra Behn
Download or read book The Works of Aphra Behn (Complete) written by Aphra Behn and published by Library of Alexandria. This book was released on 2020-09-28 with total page 4145 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is perhaps not altogether easy to appreciate the multiplicity of difficulties with which the first editor of Mrs. Behn has to cope. Not only is her life strangely mysterious and obscure, but the rubbish of half-a-dozen romancing biographers must needs be cleared away before we can even begin to see daylight. Matter which had been for two centuries accepted on seemingly the soundest authority is proven false; her family name itself was, until my recent discovery, wrongly given; the very question of her portrait has its own vexed (and until now unrecognized) dilemmas. In fine there seems no point connected with our first professional authoress which did not call for the nicest investigation and the most incontrovertible proof before it could be accepted without suspicion or reserve. The various collections of her plays and novels which appeared in the first half of the eighteenth century give us nothing; nay, they rather cumber our path with the trash of discredited Memoirs. Pearson's reprint (1871) is entirely valueless: there is no attempt, however meagre, at editing, no effort to elucidate a single allusion; moreover, several of the NovelsÑ and the Poems in their entiretyÑ are lacking. I am happy to give (Vol. V) one of the Novels, and that not the least important, The History of the Nun, for the first time in any collected edition. Poems, in addition to those which appeared in Mrs. Behn's lifetime, and were never reprinted after, have been gathered with great care from many sources (of which some were almost forgotten). It is hoped that this new issue of Mrs. Behn may prove adequate. Any difficulties in the editing have been more than amply compensated for by the interest shown by many friends. Foremost, my best thanks are due to Mr. Bullen, whose life-long experience of the minuti¾ of editing our best dramatic literature, has been ungrudgingly at my service throughout, to the no small advantage of myself and my work. Mr. Edmund Gosse, C.B., has shown the liveliest interest in the book from its inception, and I owe him most grateful recognition for his kindly encouragement and aid. Nay, more, he did not spare to lend me treasured items from his library so rich in first, and boasting unique, editions of Mrs. Behn. Mr. G. Thorn Drury, K.C., never wearied of answering my enquiries, and in discussion solved many a knotty point. To him I am obliged for the transcript of Mrs. Behn's letter to Waller's daughter-in-law, and also the Satire on Dryden. He even gave of his valuable time to read through the Memoir and from the superabundance of his knowledge made suggestions of the first importance. The unsurpassed library of Mr. T. J. Wise, the well-known bibliographer, was freely at my disposal. In other cases where I have received any assistance in clearing a difficulty I have made my acknowledgement in the note itself.

Book Synopsis The Rulings of the Night by : Gregory G. Maskarinec
Download or read book The Rulings of the Night written by Gregory G. Maskarinec and published by Univ of Wisconsin Press. This book was released on 1995 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is impossible to discuss what shamans are and what they do, contends Gregory G. Maskarinec, without knowing what shamans say. When Maskarinec took an interest in shaman rituals on his first visit to Nepal, he was told by many Nepalis and Westerners that the shamans he had encountered in the Himalayan foothills of western Nepal engaged in "meaningless mumblings." But in the course of several years of fieldwork he learned from the shamans that both their long, publicly chanted rituals and their whispered, secretive incantations are oral texts meticulously memorized through years of training. In The Rulings of the Night, he shows how the shamans, during their dramatic night-long performances, create the worlds of words in which shamans exist. Maskarinec analyzes several complete repertoires of the texts that the shamans use to diagnose and treat afflictions that trouble their clients. Through these texts, they intervene to manipulate and change the world, replacing its unbalanced, inexpressible chaos with orderly, balanced, grammatical, and eloquently expressible states. They negotiate the relations between language, action, and social realities, providing a well-constructed and thoroughly consistent intentional universe--and only in that universe can all shaman actions and beliefs be fully comprehended.
