Download or read book The Complete Guide to Building Classic Barns, Fences, Storage Sheds, Animal Pens, Outbuildings, Greenhouses, Farm Equipment, & Tools written by Tim Bodamer and published by Atlantic Publishing Company. This book was released on 2012 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With their classic barns and fences, American small farms, and the buildings that support these farms, serve a much-needed purpose as much today as then have in the past. Even with the advent of new technology frequently used on farms, these buildings have changed relatively little and are still used to house the animals that so many small farm owners work with and the feed, supplies, and equipment needed to maintain those animals. Every well-meaning farmer or property owner with livestock, small animals, or farming equipment has need of a barn or a series of outbuildings. Unfortunately, many farmers now rely on expensive contractors and construction companies to do a job many farmers traditionally undertook themselves. Knowing how to build these structures is not only a lost American art form, it is also a skill that can save you thousands of dollars. This book has been designed to ensure everyone who has ever thought of building their own barns, outbuildings, or animal pens knows exactly what is entailed-from inception of the design to the final construction stages. You will learn exactly what you need to start building outbuildings, barns, farming equipment, and farm supplies. For each of the structures showed within this book, you will learn the required dimensions and extra space you might not have previously considered, including space for your motorized Machinery, a workshop for maintaining your equipment, and loft space for hay bales, feed, and farming equipment. Regardless of what you need for your small farm or property, you will have a complete list of detailed building design plans. You will learn which building materials are best for creating your needed items as well as the best designs and methods of buildings. The companion CD-ROM contains design plans in PDF format for all the structures shown in the book plus bonus plans. Each design plan offers detailed instructions, supply lists, and diagrams. This book offers plans for building barns, storage structures, animal pens, storage sheds, and greenhouses. It also offers plans for building gates, fences, wagons, farm equipment, and other structures and equipment necessary for the success of your small farm. If you are looking to save thousands of dollars by building your own farm structures and equipment; this book will walk you through every step of the design, preparation, and construction process, ensuring success and capturing the lost art of small farm self-sufficiency.
Book Synopsis IBM TS7760 R4.2 Cloud Storage Tier Guide by : Sosuke Matsui
Download or read book IBM TS7760 R4.2 Cloud Storage Tier Guide written by Sosuke Matsui and published by IBM Redbooks. This book was released on 2019-06-14 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Building on over 20 years of virtual tape experience, the TS7760 now supports the ability to store virtual tape volumes in an object store. This IBM Redpaper publication helps you set up and configure the new cloud object storage support for IBM Cloud Object Storage (COS) or Amazon Web Services (AWS). The TS7700 supported off loading to physical tape for over two decades. Off loading to physical tape behind a TS7700 is used by hundreds of organizations around the world. By using the same hierarchical storage techniques, the TS7700 can also off load to object storage. Because object storage is cloud-based and accessible from different regions, the TS7760 Cloud Storage Tier support essentially allows the cloud to be an extension of the grid. In this IBM Redpaper publication, we provide a brief overview of cloud technology with an emphasis on Object Storage. Object Storage is used by a broad set of technologies, including those technologies that are exclusive to IBM Z®. The aim of this publication is to provide a basic understanding of cloud, Object Storage, and different ways it can be integrated into your environment. This Redpaper is intended for system architects and storage administrators with TS7700 experience who want to add the support of a Cloud Storage Tier to their TS7700 solution.

Book Synopsis Implementing the IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller with IBM Spectrum Virtualize V8.2.1 by : Jon Tate
Download or read book Implementing the IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller with IBM Spectrum Virtualize V8.2.1 written by Jon Tate and published by IBM Redbooks. This book was released on 2019-07-04 with total page 846 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This IBM® Redbooks® publication is a detailed technical guide to the IBM System Storage® SAN Volume Controller (SVC), which is powered by IBM SpectrumTM Virtualize V8.2.1. IBM SAN Volume Controller is a virtualization appliance solution that maps virtualized volumes that are visible to hosts and applications to physical volumes on storage devices. Each server within the storage area network (SAN) has its own set of virtual storage addresses that are mapped to physical addresses. If the physical addresses change, the server continues running by using the same virtual addresses that it had before. Therefore, volumes or storage can be added or moved while the server is still running. The IBM virtualization technology improves the management of information at the block level in a network, which enables applications and servers to share storage devices on a network.

This book was released on 2021-05-12 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: RedHat OpenShift container platform is one of the leading enterprise-grade container orchestration platforms. It is designed for rapid deployment of web applications, databases, and microservices. Categorized as a container orchestration Platform as a Service (PaaS), it is based on open industry standards, such as the Container Runtime Interface - Open (CRI-O) and Kubernetes. OpenShift allow developers to focus on the code, while the platform manages the complex IT operations and processes. Although open-source, community-driven container orchestration platforms are available, such as OKD and Kubernetes, this IBM® Redpaper® publication focuses on Red Hat OpenShift. It describes the basic concepts of OpenShift persistent storage architecture and its integration into IBM Cloud® Paks. The deployment of the IBM block storage CSI driver also is discussed. This publication also describes the concepts, technology and current working practices for installing the Container Storage Interface (CSI) plug-in for Kubernetes to use IBM Enterprise Storage platforms for persistent storage coupled with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). This publication also provides an overview of containers, Kubernetes, and Openshift for context (it is expected that the reader has a working knowledge of these underlying technologies). It also includes architectural examples of the orchestration platform will be given. Book Synopsis SAN Boot Implementation and Best Practices Guide for IBM System Storage by : Sangam Racherla
Download or read book SAN Boot Implementation and Best Practices Guide for IBM System Storage written by Sangam Racherla and published by IBM Redbooks. This book was released on 2012-09-30 with total page 478 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Booting servers from a storage area network (SAN) is being used increasingly in complex data center environments today, due to its significant benefits over the traditional method of booting from local disks. SAN Boot enables organizations to maximize consolidation of their IT resources, minimize their equipment costs, and realize the considerable management benefits of centralizing the boot process. In SAN Boot, you can deploy diskless servers in an environment where the boot disk is located on (often RAID-capable) storage connected to the SAN. The server (initiator) communicates with the storage device (target) through the SAN using the Fibre Channel host bus adapter (HBA). The system downtime is greatly minimized in case a critical component such as a processor, memory, or host bus adapter fails and needs to be replaced. The system administrator needs to swap only the hardware and reconfigure the HBA's BIOS, switch zoning, and host-port definitions on the storage server. The system image still exists on the logical drive, therefore the server is fully operational after the hardware swap and configuration change is completed. This IBM® Redbooks® publication can help you with the SAN Boot implementation. We present various SAN Boot scenarios using IBM System Storage® products that include DS5000, DS8000®, XIV®, and SVC. The operating systems that are covered include Windows 2008, Red Hat Linux, SUSE Linux, and VMware.
