Schule und Bildung sind in meinen Augen sehr stark von dem Virus betroffen und deswegen möchte ich zeigen, auf welche Art und Weise und wie stark Schule und Bildung unter den Maßnahmen leiden müssen und auch wie man dem Leid ein Ende setzen kann. Zu Beginn möchte ich kurz auf die Symptome, den Krankheitsverlauf und auf die Ansteckungsgefahr aufmerksam machen, sodass ein kurzer Einblick gewährt wird, wie ernst die Lage ist und wieso Schulen teilweise vollkommen geschlossen sind. Die Symptome sind sehr unspezifisch, da sie denen einer herkömmlichen Grippe ähneln. Es ist wissenschaftlich bewiesen, dass Bertoffene an unterschiedlich starken Symptomen leiden. Die einen wissen nicht, dass sie vom Virus betroffen sind, andere durchleben die Leiden einer herkömmlichen Grippe, aber es gibt auch Menschen, die mehrere Wochen nach der Erkrankung noch von Atemproblemen geplagt sind und manche sterben sogar durch diese Lungenkrankheit. Der Verlauf der Krankheit ist demnach sehr unterschiedlich, aber sie weist letztlich hohe Opferzahlen auf.

Die Schüler/-innen während des Lockdowns zu befragen, stellte eine besondere Herausforderung dar. Jedoch war dies während der Schulschließungen ab 16. März 2020 nicht möglich. Daher fand die Befragung nach den Sommerferien 2020 statt. Um repräsentative Ergebnisse zu erhalten, wurde die Umfrage zum einen klassenbasiert durchgeführt nach vorher festgelegten Präsenzterminen in den Schulen und zum anderen in Form einer Onlinebefragung. Dieser Prozess ermöglicht ein genaueres Abbilden repräsentativer Ergebnisse. Ziel dieser Untersuchung ist es, empirische Forschungsergebnisse zur Gesundheit und das Wohlbefinden von Schüler/-innen in der häuslichen Schulbildung zu erhalten. Hierbei geht es darum, wie Schüler tägliche Herausforderungen, Erfolge und Hindernisse für das Lernen zu Hause erleben bzw. bewerten, hinsichtlich ihrer Gesundheit bezogen auf das eigene Wohlbefinden. Darüber hinaus ist relevant, wie Schulen, insbesondere Lehrkräfte, mit den Kindern und Eltern in Kontakt treten und wie Merkmale von Unterrichtsqualität auch im Zuge des Homeschoolings realisiert werden. The techniques employed in such analysis first took on a recognizably modern form in the 1970s, but their roots go back to the earliest days of motion picture technology in the late nineteenth century. This book presents original essays accompanied by written responses which together create a dialogue exploring early efforts at audio-visual sequence analysis and their common goal to capture the "whole" of the communicative situation. The first three chapters of this volume look at the film-based research of Gestalt psychologists in Berlin as well as psychologists in the orbit of Karl and Charlotte Bühler in Vienna in the first decades of the twentieth century. Most of these figures – along with many other Central European scholars of this era – were driven into exile in the United States after the rise of National Socialism in the 1930s. This scientific migration led to the cross-pollination of communication studies in America, an outcome visible in the leading project in interaction research of the mid-twentieth century, the Natural History of an Interview. The following two chapters examine this project in its historical context. The volume closes with a critical edition of a treasure from the archives: the transcript of a speech delivered by Ray Birdwhistell, a key participant in the Natural History of an Interview project and founder of kinesics.

Before electricity, architecture was required to make use of the sun as a light source within a building, while also protecting its inhabitants from the heat. This resulted in vernacular architecture that features very few or small openings, which consequently render the inside of a building near pitch black, while the outside is illuminated by sunshine that bears down mercilessly. On the initiative of the lighting technology company Zumtobel Group, photographer Iwan Baan (born 1975) and architect Francis Kéré (born 1965) set out to capture how the sun's natural light cycle shapes vernacular architecture in Burkina Faso with little to no artificial light sources. They traveled to three exemplary locations: communal compounds in Gando; the main mosque of Bobo Dioulasso; and the terraced houses in Dano. Baan's pictures are accompanied by architectural sketches by Francis Kéré, who himself grew up in this light environment and whose architecture is inspired by it. The stunning photographs are printed using a special technique, to give a sense of being immersed in the very light conditions documented here.
