Book excerpt: Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich VWL - Mikroökonomie, allgemein, Note: 1,3, Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Unternehmerisches Engagement für soziale, kulturelle und ökologische Vorhaben gerät immer mehr in den Fokus des öffentlichen Interesses.1 Dabei besitzen Sponsoring von Kulturveranstaltungen, der Besitz eigener Sportvereine oder der Bau von Arbeitersiedlungen - kulturelles, soziales, umweltpolitisches oder lokales Engagement von Unternehmen über ihre eigentlichen Geschäftsfelder hinaus - in Deutschland eine lange Tradition. Unternehmen selbst tragen jedoch durch Nachhaltigkeitsberichte (sog. Sustainability Reports)2 auch dazu bei, dass sie von der Öffentlichkeit als sozial engagierte Bürger in der Gesellschaft (Corporate Citizen)3 gesehen werden. In solchen Berichten geben sie Auskunft über ihren freiwilligen, gesetzliche Erfordernisse übertreffenden, Einsatz für (prima facie) nicht-ökonomische Ziele. Dieses Engagement wird auch als Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) bezeichnet. CSR wird von der EU-Kommission (2001) in einem Grünbuch definiert,4 "als ein Konzept, das den Unternehmen als Grundlage dient, auf freiwilliger Basis soziale Belange und Umweltbelange in ihre Unternehmenstätigkeit und in die Wechselbeziehungen mit den Stakeholdern zu integrieren. Sozial verantwortlich handeln heißt nicht nur, die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen einzuhalten, sondern über die bloße Gesetzeskonformität hinaus "mehr" zu investieren in Humankapital, in die Umwelt und in die Beziehungen zu anderen Stakeholdern."5 Zu solchen CSR-Maßnahmen zählen beispielsweise eine umweltfreundliche Produktionsweise, ein fairer Umgang mit Angestellten, sowie transparente und faire wirtschaftliche Geschäftspraktiken. In dieser Arbeit wird anhand der Darstellung und anschließenden Diskussion von drei verschiedenen wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Artikeln mit mathematischen Modellen erläutert, dass Corporate Social Responsibility, ungeachtet eines gemein
