Book excerpt: Ce travail de recherche s’inscrit dans le contexte de l’approche des connaissances fondamentales de la convection mixte laminaire à l’intérieur des conduites. Pour cela, un travail tant numérique (code de calcul Fluent) que expérimental (technique PIV) a été entrepris. Dans une première partie, cette investigation s’articule autour de l’écoulement en convection mixte dans un tube incliné isotherme. Les résultats montrent l’influence de l’inclinaison du tube sur l’apparition, l’ampleur et la position des zones de renversement. La deuxième partie concerne le transfert thermique en convection mixte entre deux fluides. L’étude s’intéresse à une configuration verticale d’un échangeur de chaleur bitube avec des écoulements en parallèle. Nous concluons ainsi qu’un modèle basé seulement sur la convection forcée ou un modèle réduisant le transfert thermique à la paroi à une condition de type température (ou flux thermique) uniforme n’est pas satisfaisant ni suffisant pour les cas considérés.
