Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Conquering Back Our Pride, Black Mental Liberation is a tool of true inspiration for the Black race and provides an amazing enlightening experience to anyone who dares to explore the mysteries and truths regarding the origin of mankind. The book encourages the Author's own race of Black people to explore and learn about their amazing historical heritage and take pride in all that their forefathers contributed to the advancement of humankind throughout the world. For in doing so, one can begin to liberate themselves from any negativity associated with their own race and gain an unprecedented respect for themselves and others. The book starts off by placing the reader in the author's childhood classroom of his school on the island of Grand Bahama where he witnessed racial inequities between people who shared the very same ethnicity. The reader is then transported back and forth through the brush strokes of time which create a painting that illustrates how man's free will and lust for power has camouflaged an entire race of people who contributed vast advancements in the evolution of mankind. From the Garden of Eden, to ancient Egypt, to the islands of The Caribbean, the tapestry of the human race unravels through the threads of history. The writings in this book are based on the Author's own personal perceptions and enlightenments combined with historical and biblical documents. This is not a book intended to provide specific answers. It is written to equip the reader with perspectives and information to lead them on their own quest to investigate and research parts of history that may ignite their own internal flame.

Book Synopsis Luminescence, Volume 3 by : C. K. Barrett
Download or read book Luminescence, Volume 3 written by C. K. Barrett and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2018-05-04 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is found in this series unveils an entirely different side of C. K. Barrett, a side one might never have known about if one had knowledge only of his famous commentaries and monographs. Herein lies a goodly selection of Kingsley's sermons preached largely in small- and medium-sized Methodist churches in the northeast of England, though often elsewhere in England and around the world. Fred Barrett was not the scholar his son was, but on close inspection, one can most definitely see the impact of the father on the son when it came to preaching. It seems right to include as many sermons from both of these men as we can in this series. One thing sorely lacking in much preaching these days is in-depth engagement with both the biblical text and one's tradition and theology. The sermons in these volumes demonstrate what such preaching can look like. This third volume presents sermons from both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Book excerpt: A sense of fatigue dogs the fitness world. Many of the new programs that are tagged as groundbreaking are actually recycled ideas. Foundation offers something completely different for novices and athletes alike: a simple program with powerful and proven results that will remedy bad posture, alleviate back pain, and help readers break through fitness challenges and plateaus. Dr. Eric Goodman, a brilliant and dynamic young chiropractor, teams up with Peter Park, one of the top trainers in the United States, to radically redefine the core--shifting the focus from the front of the body to the back. Their groundbreaking approach works to strengthen the lower back and the full posterior chain and correct poor movement patterns by addressing mechanical imbalances and weaknesses. Foundation training involves simple movement patterns and is equipment free, creating maximum power, flexibility, and endurance. Word-of-mouth enthusiasm has inspired both Hollywood luminaries and world-class athletes to make Foundation training the core of their fitness programs. Eric and Peter's client list has grown exponentially to include Lance Armstrong, NBA star Derek Fisher, world-champion surfer Kelly Slater, and actor Matthew McConaughey.
