Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Confessions of an Alien is a story about alienation. The narrator, Josh Carew, is an alien in his homeland, Ireland. He is exiled by choice to various parts of the former British Empire, seeking to come to terms with the dilemmas in his life. On his return to Ireland, he describes his moral distress with a frankness and honesty that may shock his readers. He is disenchanted with politics and the galloping secularisation, which he views as the ruination of the country. Being of old Puritan stock, he asserts that only righteousness can uplift the nation. He cannot lie, nor can he accommodate to the mindset of the ungodly and materialistic people who rule the world. He is a pilgrim in an alien land and his confessions describe the dark night of his soul. His musings are a frontal assault on the Modern World and on the ghastly state that he refers to as the 'New Ireland'. Confessions of an Alien is partly a tale of adventure and partly a series of confessions. The story and the confessions are interwoven in a seamless narrative. The frank confessions focus on social, religious, and political issues. Josh sees himself as a moral man who knows the difference between right and wrong. He is shocked to find that the line between right and wrong has disappeared in the New Ireland. He sees a nation that has lost its values and he blames it on rampant greed, corruption, galloping secularism and neo-liberalism. Some readers may not like his rants and internal monologues. His views will probably offend secularists, politicians, churchmen, feminists, and media people. Josh could not care less. He speaks his mind with the forthrightness of an Old Testament prophet.

Book excerpt: SECOND EDITION-REVISED AND UPDATEDThe reality of UFO incursions at American nuclear weapons facilities has been convincingly established. Hundreds of U.S. military veterans now openly discuss these ominous incidents and thousands of declassified government documents substantiate their revelations.Over the past four decades, renowned researcher Robert Hastings has interviewed more than 150 of those veterans regarding their involvement in these astounding cases. On September 27, 2010, CNN live-streamed his UFOs and Nukes press conference in Washington D.C. during which former U.S. Air Force officers described numerous nuclear missiles mysteriously malfunctioning moments after a disc-shaped craft was observed hovering near their underground launch silos. That shocking episode, in March 1967, was merely the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Documented UFO activity occurred at a plutonium processing plant in Washington State as early as January 1945, months prior to the atomic bombings in Japan. Another incident, in October 2010, involved one missile base in Wyoming being unable to communicate with several of its missile launch control capsules just as a huge cigar-shaped craft slowly flew over them.Significantly, documents smuggled out of Russia in the 1990s confirm that Soviet nukes were also the focus of UFO interest during the Cold War era. On one occasion, in October 1982, a number of missiles temporarily activated for launch, as terrified officers attempted to disrupt the unauthorized count-down. After 15 seconds, the anomaly terminated and the equipment returned to standby status. While this was taking place, an enormous disc silently hovered over the base.In short, the evidence presented in UFOs & Nukes makes clear that humans' deadliest weapons have been, since their development and use during World War II, under intense scrutiny by still-unidentified observers possessing tremendously advanced technology.Given these disclosures, it seems evident that the UFO-Nukes Connection is highly significant and perhaps even the key reason these mysterious aerial craft have appeared in our skies over the past seven decades.

Book excerpt: Bestselling author Erich von Däniken shares the story of a 16-year-old grave-diver who discovered a mysterious labyrinth of the old kings under one of the pyramids of Saqqara. In this book, Erich von Däniken shares the story of his friend Adel H., an Egyptologist, who, as a 16-year-old boy, was trapped for days under the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. Based on his conversations with Adel H., he retells the boy's search for a way out of the underground world, how the boy roamed passageways and chambers and saw what he calls "impossible" things of which the professional world is completely unaware. Adel experienced uncanny events, a mixture of spirit realm and reality, which is described here for the first time. "The story of Egypt," Adel says, "has two sides--the official one and the unknown one." It is secrets like the sights and events Adel experiences underground that von Däniken refers to throughout this book. Von Däniken shows that the Great Pyramid of Giza is nothing but a huge library created for the people of the future. He proves his claim through quotes from the few ancient works that still survive. Who actually had an interest for millennia in destroying knowledge/books? It's not about a few thousand, but about millions of books. Von Däniken documents the fanatical destructive rage of the people and means: If we would only have one ten-thousandth of the former writings, human prehistory would have to be completely rewritten. And where are the lost labyrinths? The one of Crete and the gigantic labyrinth of Egypt, of which all ancient historians reported? Against the background of these revelations, von Däniken turns the spot on to another focus of his book. A paradigm shift in the question of extraterrestrial life: "The gods have already come back. They came down again. They are currently orbiting our planet!"

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A voyage of exploration to the outer reaches of our inner lives. UFOs are a myth, says David J. Halperin—but myths are real. The power and fascination of the UFO has nothing to do with space travel or life on other planets. It's about us, our longings and terrors, and especially the greatest terror of all: the end of our existence. This is a book about UFOs that goes beyond believing in them or debunking them and to a fresh understanding of what they tell us about ourselves as individuals, as a culture, and as a species. In the 1960s, Halperin was a teenage UFOlogist, convinced that flying saucers were real and that it was his life's mission to solve their mystery. He would become a professor of religious studies, with traditions of heavenly journeys his specialty. With Intimate Alien, he looks back to explore what UFOs once meant to him as a boy growing up in a home haunted by death and what they still mean for millions, believers and deniers alike. From the prehistoric Balkans to the deserts of New Mexico, from the biblical visions of Ezekiel to modern abduction encounters, Intimate Alien traces the hidden story of the UFO. It's a human story from beginning to end, no less mysterious and fantastic for its earthliness. A collective cultural dream, UFOs transport us to the outer limits of that most alien yet intimate frontier, our own inner space.

Book excerpt: The story of Frankenstein's monster continues... In the Arctic waters of the Barents Sea, the creature has taken the ultimate revenge on his creator, Frankenstein. He travels south, where a chance meeting with a witch gives him the opportunity to overcome what he is, and perhaps become who he was meant to be. Transformed into a normal-looking man, but retaining his superhuman strength, the creature journeys to Moscow, where he becomes the protégé of a wealthy natural philosopher and the lover of his daughter, Sabrina. Taking the name Viktor Suvorin, the creature wins acclaim as a military hero while Napoleon rages across Europe. Following the wars, Viktor and Sabrina travel to Switzerland, where they meet Byron, Percy Shelley, and Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, who bases her novel on Viktor's memoirs. Viktor faces a final challenge to his hard-won humanity when tragedy strikes his family and he returns to the Arctic. There, on a frozen sea under the shimmering Northern Lights, the creature must confront the meaning of his creation and his life. "... a compelling, thought-provoking novel with an undercurrent that made me always a little anxious about what will happen next to the characters." Camellia, Long and Short Reviews "This wonderfully written novel will have any reader hooked right from the beginning. It is an enjoyable and extraordinary story! I hope this will not be the last we see of this author, who obviously has a wonderful talent." Ann Marie Chalmers, Front Street Reviews

Now my biggest problems--my stepmom, my dad's expectations--are dwarfed in comparison to my new life. An alien with tentacles and a tail wants to make me his wife. Not just his wife--his queen. There are his two bodyguards, both with broad shoulders, big muscles, and blazing eyes. They share everything, and I don't know if that includes me. There's the ship's pilot, a human cyborg with skilled hands and a heart of gold. And of course, there's the assassin chasing us across the galaxy, who seems to be everywhere at once. Book excerpt: Unmasking the mysteries of alien life on earth! Make mention of the word “alien” and it conjures images of black-eyed, large-headed, dwarfish beings that have come to be known as the Greys. Indeed, Greys have become a staple part of pop-culture, never mind just the field of UFO research. They’ve appeared in Steven Spielberg’s classic 1977 movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. They regularly popped up in The X-Files. And, of course, there are numerous people – all across the world – who claim to have been abducted by the Greys and subjected to intrusive medical experiments. Yet, before the 1950s, the Greys were nowhere in sight. The Alien Book: A Guide to Extraterrestrial Beings on Earth shows that extraterrestrial life comes in all kinds, appearances, sizes, and bodies. They all have one thing in common, however: the human race has encountered them, and we continue to do so today. Not just dozens, or even hundreds, but thousands of eyewitness experiences have been reported. Covering hundreds of extraterrestrial life forms in more than 40 thematic chapters, this absorbing look at the mysteries of aliens on earth includes ... the Space Brothers: long-haired, very human-looking ETs the fiendish Reptilians: seven-to-eight-foot-tall predatory shapeshifters Men in Black beings: extremely pale-skinned, tall, and with huge eyes Black-eyed Children: anemic-looking kids with solid black eyes that might be ET-human hybrids Bigfoot the werewolf-like Dogmen jellyfish-style aliens that soar around the skies of our world the Shadow People: dangerous humanoids that terrorize people legendary Nephilim space-vampires: insect-like aliens that resemble a giant praying mantis and many, many more! The Alien Book investigates the full range of sentient, alien life forms. Some are benign and others downright deadly. Some are small, like a germ or virus that has NASA, creating guidelines to deal with an outbreak of an extraterrestrial germ. Some are big like a giant praying mantis or the biblical Goliath. They all lurk on Earth and in this chilling book! With more than 120 photos and graphics, this tome is richly illustrated. Its helpful bibliography and extensive index add to its usefulness.

After his fiery debut with Japanese Tosa (London Poetry Books), Aldo Quagliotti's return is once again in the name of experimental, adult Poetry. Confessions Of A Pregnant Man is an Ode to human imagination and a personal love letter from the author. Through a new collection of selected work, the author travels through undisciplined subjects with a critical eye, sometimes skipping cordiality and jumping to passionate statements but always delivering undoubtedly originals points of view. Ironical and irreverent, at times mystical and lyrical, this new chapter will plant the seed for a new generation of riotous, queer, alternative approach to the Spoken Word scene.

Book excerpt: There's evidence that aliens have been visiting our planet for centuries. Some even think the world's governments are hiding alien crafts, technology and even their bodies. On a hot summer day in July, of 1947, outside of Roswell, New Mexico, a "weather balloon" crashed into Mac Brazel's ranch, or so we're told. The story of what that rancher found differed greatly from the office report issued by our United States Air Force. What really happened at Roswell? Is there an alien craft and two alien cadavers being kept secret at Area 51? Was the contents of that craft really responsible for mylar, the integrated circuit, CMOS image sensors, and the Steal Bomber technology? With our nearest neighbors circling our closest star; Alpha Centauri at 4.37 light years away, how could could it be possible for any civilization reach the earth? That's 25,633,092,000,000 miles away! All these questions and more are answered in the best short story of its time, "Alien Time".
