This book was released on 2002 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2008 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

This book was released on 2005-05-01 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Démocratie locale 2.0 by : Myriam Deslandes
Download or read book Démocratie locale 2.0 written by Myriam Deslandes and published by . This book was released on 2018-12-18 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis La démocratie participative by : Mathias Le Galic
Download or read book La démocratie participative written by Mathias Le Galic and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 2004-10-01 with total page 221 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
Book Synopsis La communication des collectivités locales by : Pascal Dauvin
Download or read book La communication des collectivités locales written by Pascal Dauvin and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 2015-02-01 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Economic Reason and Political Reason by : Jean Mercier Ythier
Download or read book Economic Reason and Political Reason written by Jean Mercier Ythier and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2022-12-28 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The public space of democracies is constructed in a context that is marked by the digital transformation of the economy and society. This construction is carried out primarily through deliberation. Deliberation informs and guides both individual and collective action. To shed light on the concept of deliberation, it is important to consider the rationality of choice; but what type of rationality is this? References to economic reason are at once widespread, crucial and controversial. This book therefore deals with arguments used by individuals based on the notions of preferential choice and rational behavior, and also criticizes them. These arguments are examined in the context of the major themes of public debate that help to construct the contemporary public space: "populism", social insurance, social responsibility and environmental issues. Economic Reason and Political Reason underlines the importance of the pragmatist shift of the 2000s and revisits, through the lens of this new approach, the great utilitarian and Rawlsian normative constructs that dominated normative political economics at the end of the 20th century. Alternative approaches, based on the concept of deliberative democracy, are proposed and discussed.

This book was released on 2020-04-07 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume focuses on the issue of change in democratic politics in terms of experimental or actual innovations introduced either within political parties or outside the party system, involving citizen participation and mobilization. Including a wide and diverse range of alternatives in the organization of groups, campaigning, conducting initiatives and enhancing practices, they not only question the relevance of traditional institutions in representing citizens’ values and interests, but also share a common goal which is precisely – and perhaps paradoxically – to reshape and invigorate representative democracy This book is of key interest to scholars and students of party politics, elections/electoral studies, social movement and democratic innovations and more broadly to comparative politics, political theory and political sociology.
Book Synopsis 4D Printing, Volume 1 by : Frederic Demoly
Download or read book 4D Printing, Volume 1 written by Frederic Demoly and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2022-08-23 with total page 372 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Any time objects and their (self-)organization are to be put into use, their models and methods of thinking as well as their designing and manufacturing need to be reinvented. 4D printing is a future technology that is capable of bringing 3D objects to life. This ability, which gives objects the power to change shape or properties over time through energy stimulation from active materials and additive manufacturing, makes it possible to envisage technological breakthroughs while challenging the relationship between people and objects. 4D Printing 1 presents the different facets of this technology, providing an objective, critical and even disruptive viewpoint to enable its existence and development, and to stimulate the creative drive that industry, society and humanity need in the perpetual quest for evolution and transformation.
Book Synopsis UNESCO Global Geoparks by : Yves Girault
Download or read book UNESCO Global Geoparks written by Yves Girault and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2020-01-02 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recently, UNESCO has gradually started to recognize world geoparks ? territorial spaces with a geological heritage of international importance. This classification presents real challenges. Development strategies must align with the recommendations advocated by various non-governmental organizations. It is also necessary to involve the local actors, both in the preparation of application forms and in the implementation of a management plan that is suitable for sustainable global development. Managing the tensions and asymmetries that exist between the different groups of actors (politicians, managers, scientists, representatives of local populations) constitutes another major issue. It is in this context and through various case studies that this book questions the aims of the UNESCO global geoparks ? in terms of heritage inventory and conservation, the participation of local populations, the local development of a territory and its enhancement through heritage interpretation.
