The law also specifies that guarantees of other ingredients than ni trogen, phosphoric acid and potash may be made only by permission of the 1 director of The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, but it will be the policy of this Station to consider the filing of an application for registration as a request for such permission, and per mission will normally be withheld only in the case of' a fertilizer con taining such a quantity of an added secondary fertilizer component as would appear to make the fertilizer likely to be harmful to the crops for which it is designed. The retailer, therefore, should assure himself that the requirements of the law have been met by the manufacturers of the brands which he handles, or himself be prepared to meet all these requirements.
