Book Synopsis Ego Development for Effective Coaching and Consulting by : Thomas Binder
Download or read book Ego Development for Effective Coaching and Consulting written by Thomas Binder and published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht. This book was released on 2023-06-12 with total page 227 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Both in research and in practice, a number of basic competencies are considered necessary for successful process-oriented coaching and consulting activities. In the present research work, the extent to which these necessary competencies are related to vertical personality development was investigated. Loevinger's model of ego development, a stage theory of development, provides the frame of reference for this study. This paper fully summarizes the current state of research on the model in order to comprehensively analyze possible relationships with coaching and consulting competencies. As a first step, the competency requirements of selected coaching and consulting associations were analyzed to determine whether they are related to ego development and whether they express minimum requirements for ego development. The analysis revealed that the competency requirements of all associations show clear parallels to aspects of ego development. The majority of these requirements point to a fully developed, self-governed stage (E6) of ego development as a prerequisite for process-oriented coaching and consulting services. In a second step, empirical studies were examined to systematically analyze the relationship between ego development and aspects relevant to coaching and consulting. The results of the current empirical studies show a clear correlation between these competencies and ego development. This means that as ego development increases, higher coaching and consulting competencies become more likely. Many studies also indicate that a fully developed, self-governed stage of ego development can be expected as the basis for consistent work at an intermediate level of competence.

Book Synopsis Web Based Project Coaching by : Yuriy Taranovych
Download or read book Web Based Project Coaching written by Yuriy Taranovych and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2013-05-24 with total page 335 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The traditional project coaching takes place mostly in a number of face-to-face coaching sessions. However, under conditions of time pressure in IT projects, a physical presence of coaches could form a bottleneck. These facts led to the idea of using Internet technologies to support the project coaching. The benefits of the web based project coaching reside in the ubiquitous availability of coaches. To enable the web coaching, a flexible support platform is required. The elaboration of requirements, design, implementation and evaluation of such a platform is the goal of this dissertation. The elaborated concept was applied and evaluated in real IT projects. The numerous findings and implications could be gained on the empirical basis.

Book Synopsis Compilation of a computerbased training module for the training and certification of officers navigating in ice-affected waters by : Christoph Benedikt Funke
Download or read book Compilation of a computerbased training module for the training and certification of officers navigating in ice-affected waters written by Christoph Benedikt Funke and published by diplom.de. This book was released on 2010-03-25 with total page 53 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Inhaltsangabe:Introduction: Advanced vocational training and continuous learning is needed to excel other competitors on the job market, and is contributing to self-satisfaction. Regarding the shipping crisis it should therefore be deemed crucial for nautical officers in order to qualify for special market segments aloof of the mostly affected container shipping. From a companies point of view the crisis should be considered as a chance for intern restructuring, thus gaining competitive advantages for the future. According to results from this year s human resources trade fair PERSONAL2009, well directed personnel development during the depression will give a return on investment by preventing skill shortage in the long run. One chance of specialisation for nautical officers can be seen in the field of ice-navigation which is becoming more and more important due to the opening of arctic seaways. According to the experience of Columbia Ship Management it has always been a problem to find skilled officers for this domain. Observing the development of Polar traffic and presuming an increase during the next decades it seems advisable to gather early experience in this field, in order to become a highly qualified officer until the demand on the job market rises. Additional nautical qualifications are obtained through practical experience and interaction on special operating ships and have to be consolidated by instructed courses and self-studying. E-learning in all of its facets offers very suitable ways, guiding through these studies. The research for this work was focused on two issues: E-Learning and its advantages for on-board training on the one hand, and the required proficiencies for a safe ice-navigator on the other hand. This written composition mainly copes with the qualities of e-learning, while the results of the study on ice-navigation topics can be found in the computer based training attached to this work. Book Synopsis Finding a Solution to Leadership by : Niels Brabandt
Download or read book Finding a Solution to Leadership written by Niels Brabandt and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2019-10-21 with total page 546 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Business and employee management are key subjects in business administration. For decades, actually for centuries, there has been a discussion about how effective leadership of people or employees can be realized. It has always been a major concern within market-based economic systems to learn how its products and services should be designed in order to generate consumer demand. That the discussion about business and employee management is more relevant than ever is linked to the fact that leadership situations are influenced by a variety of external factors. They include, in particular, political, cultural, social, demographic, economic, and technological developments. It is therefore required for business and employee management to be adapted to those external framework conditions on a permanent basis. In former times, the assumption in mainstream leadership research was that leadership success relied on specific personal characteristics. Later on, the prevailing view was that the decisive factors in employee management lied in specific leadership behavior or leadership styles. Today's research on leadership is dominated by situation-oriented approaches, providing for specific leadership concepts for specific organizational and employee-related structures. The present thesis is an attempt to bundle a variety of approaches to leadership with the aim of providing an overarching framework for concepts of a similar nature. Therefore, the leadership concept to be developed in what follows is to be characterized by the principles of holism and sustainability. The first step is to present the fundamentals of leadership and management in order to introduce key terms and concepts and provide an overview of the research on leadership. Chapter 3 deals with separately displaying the business and employee management approaches of various management pioneers, distinguishing between early and con-temporary pioneers. Each approach is presented in consideration of its key elements, its strengths and opportunities, as well as its weaknesses and limitations. The fourth chapter, finally, is devoted to developing a holistic and sustainable leader-ship concept.

Book Synopsis Praxeologie des Coaching by : Christoph J. Schmidt-Lellek
Download or read book Praxeologie des Coaching written by Christoph J. Schmidt-Lellek and published by Springer-Verlag. This book was released on 2009-05-21 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
