Book excerpt: Excerpt from Chicago Coin Club Bulletin, Vol. 9: Annual Number 1944 In the name of the Club, I wish to thank all who have thus helped in its preparation, and especially Mr. Barger, who has willingly edited it and Mr. Green, who has acted as advertising manager. Also, in the name of the Club, I thank our retiring secretary-treasurer, Mr. Lindall, for his three-years' service to the Club, the most difficult and important in the Club's organization. Personal thanks is due to Mr. Barger, our First Vice President, who has efficiently presided at meetings when I have not been able to be present, and to Mrs. Boyer, our Second Vice President, for arranging our pleasant annual Ladies' Night and for graceful handling of the ladies' activities in general. The Club is very grateful to Mr. C. Lou Snyder for his liberal donations of prizes to encourage exhibits and stimulate interest in our meetings. Some time ago, in a talk with the President of a nearby coin club, he com plained of the difficulty of getting committees to act. Such has never been the case in our Club, for all our committees, special and standing, deserve great praise, for they have acted, well and wisely.
