Book excerpt: A devotional following the western path of Christian revival as the Holy Spirit moves from Jerusalem across the world, from Pentecost to today.Come along for the ride on this road-trip adventure that follows the movement of the Holy Spirit as the Great Commission is carried out across the world. We'll start on the Day of Pentecost, when the Spirit of God descends on believers, and end up in the homes and churches of the revolutionary believers of today. This study, which consists of 9 units and 61 lessons, spans the history of the Gospel as it travels westward from Jerusalem to Asia Minor, Africa, Rome, Europe, America, China, the Land between the Walls, and then returns to Jerusalem in the final days. This thought-provoking message, with the history that it reveals, will challenge the way you think about revival and the role you play in it.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our nation was founded upon Christian principles and for generations followed the mandates of that established course. Little by little those truths have been forsaken. A "Spirit-empowered, Holy Ghost-anointed, sin-killing, Devil-chasing revival," as Dr. Shelton Smith puts it so accurately, is what the country now needs. These challenging messages remind us vividly that though the world gets darker and darker, the power of God and its availability to us have always been the same. Here, from the heart of a burdened pastor, editor and soul winner, Christians are encouraged to get right with God, catch the Spirit of Christ, serve God diligently, stay on the firing line and wage war against evil. We are salt and light in this wicked world; if we faint not but stay at the urgent task with commitment, determination and long-suffering, God can and will indeed do it again! - Publisher.

Book excerpt: What is the meaning of life? Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? These questions have been asked and answered thousands of times before, but would you like to know what God thinks of you from His perspective? Many of us attend church and have been taught Christian doctrine, but institutionalized religion cannot teach us Gods truth from His perspective. Sadly, nor can it, because religion is concerned with what man must do to get right with God. We have all been taught the truth, but perhaps not the whole truth. The salvation message we have been taught is just a small starting point along this exciting journey. Now is the time to discover the primary reason you are on earth as sojourners: to occupy earth with the atmosphere of heaven. This book does not teach new ways to become who you want to be or self-realization techniques. However, it shows you who you already are from Gods perspective. You were created on purpose for a purpose, but we have all forgotten who we are. Deep down, you know you are good, yet God created you even better than good. This journey of self-discovery is unlike anything you have read before. You will never look at yourself in the mirror the same way again. The truth is already in you, but will you believe it? You just need help remembering. Regenesis is about newness when all things become new again through truth, change and oneness.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the most heated scholarly controversies of the early twentieth century, the Orient-or-Rome debate turned on whether art historians should trace the origin of all Western—and especially Gothic—architecture to Roman ingenuity or to the Indo-Germanic Geist. Focusing on the discourses around this debate, Talinn Grigor considers the Persian Revival movement in light of imperial strategies of power and identity in British India and in Qajar-Pahlavi Iran. The Persian Revival examines Europe’s discovery of ancient Iran, first in literature and then in art history. Tracing Western visual discourse about ancient Iran from 1699 on, Grigor parses the invention and use of a revivalist architectural style from the Afsharid and Zand successors to the Safavid throne and the rise of the Parsi industrialists as cosmopolitan subjects of British India. Drawing on a wide range of Persian revival narratives bound to architectural history, Grigor foregrounds the complexities and magnitude of artistic appropriations of Western art history in order to grapple with colonial ambivalence and imperial aspirations. She argues that while Western imperialism was instrumental in shaping high art as mercantile-bourgeois ethos, it was also a project that destabilized the hegemony of a Eurocentric historiography of taste. An important reconsideration of the Persian Revival, this book will be of vital interest to art and architectural historians and intellectual historians, particularly those working in the areas of international modernism, Iranian studies, and historiography.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Bible tells us Christians are new creations, in the world but no longer of the world. Doug Tweed’s latest book, Christ in Us is the Hope of Glory, challenges us to more fully understand and embrace what these scriptural revelations mean. Tweed’s previous book, Be with Jesus, focused on individual revival, awakening, and maturity while connecting that process to the corporate identity and purpose of the body of Christ. This new book focuses on the corporate identity and purpose of the body of Christ while connecting those truths to the individual Christian life. In the tradition of A.W. Tozer and Oswald Chambers, Tweed uses more than 500 scripture citations to establish how two truths shape our identity and purpose as Christians. Through the Holy Spirit, God lives in you. And as a member of the body of Christ, you are part of the Christ now on earth. In a time of increasing darkness around the world, Christ in Us is the Hope of Glory declares to the church that the hope of glory is Christ in us. It is time to rise and shine.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In China, an Army Is Rising... For years, China’s population size, economic growth, and thirst for military power have taken center stage by those who study biblical prophecy. Most end-time experts have seen the “Red Dragon” as an aggressor to Israel. In Revelation 16 and 19, John's mention of the armies involved in the final battle marking the end of the world could well depict China’s army today. However, a different kind of army is also rising in China, and it is quickly approaching two hundred million people. This army is for Christ, not against Him. It is a host of Christians from the Chinese underground house church who are fighting a battle against principalities and powers and spreading the gospel in unprecedented ways under intense persecution. These Christians are motivated by a powerful vision called “Back to Jerusalem.” The Chinese church is quietly working to complete the Great Commission by bringing the gospel to unreached peoples in China’s eastern provinces and to all the countries between the border of China and the city of Jerusalem. Yet there’s even more to this fascinating development. What you read in this book may change your view of end-time prophecy. Back to Jerusalem is not just a missions movement of the Chinese church. It is an eschatological event confirmed by both the Old and New Testaments. God is using the Red Dragon to fulfill His ultimate purposes. China and End-Time Prophecy explores the surprising connection between ancient prophecy and China’s modern missions phenomenon. This book will give you a new vision of what it means to go into all the world with the gospel. Most of all, it will show you why the completion of the Great Commission is inevitable and the return of Christ is unstoppable.
