Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jacob W. Elias invites us to listen in while Paul and his missionary companions encourage and warn believers in ancient Thessalonica. Elias shows Paul dealing pastorally with everyday concerns of church life while reminding his converts about the big picture. What God has done through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will yet be brought to glorious completion. The church has an active role to play in God's redemptive mission in the world. Today, apocalyptic biblical texts are often ignored or misused. But Elias tells how the gospel proclaimed to the Thessalonians undergirds the nurture of churches marked by faith, love, and hope.

Book excerpt: The year is 2028. Two doctors from Kalamazoo, Michigan, husband and wife are caught up in an unimaginable holocaust engulfing the world---the Nazi Third Reich revived and ruled by the Fuehrer on a planetary scale. For years Ethan and Elizabeth had sensed that these troubles were coming and had done all they could to prepare, storing guns and ammo, food and clothing, medicines, survival gear of all kinds in a cave in the Big Horn Mountains on the slopes of Cloud Peak in Wyoming. Both of them pilots, they had purchased an airplane, believing they would escape in it together and fly to Cloud Peak. But they had to separate that hot, humid August night when they made their grand get-away. Is this the time predicted by the Hebrew prophets? Is this the time predicted by the New Testament apostles? Is this the Apocalypse? Is this how it will look when it happens? And how would you handle things if you found yourself and your loved ones also caught up in a tragedy of this magnitude? How would I handle it? These are difficult questions to ask and even more difficult, perhaps, to answer. Truth be told, there are no easy answers. Come and see what happened to Ethan and Elizabeth, the two doctors from Kalamazoo in the year 2028 and beyond. Come and live through it with them, come and suffer with them, weep with them, be joyful with them, be sad, be weary, be hopeful, be glad and thankful with them; come and lose everything with them, come and triumph with them. Come and see... Frank Willard is my pen name for CLOUD PEAK, my first venture into the suspense-thriller genre. And what better scenario could there be for this genre than the end of the world as we know it? Admittedly, I had always wanted to address the subject of the Apocalypse and finally I have via this novel and its sequel which I hope to begin soon. Perhaps there will be sequels after sequels, the theme of the Apocalypse being vast and endless and the possibilities for more suspense-thrillers being vast and endless, as well. For most of my life I have been a student of history; and I have been an observer of what some would call megatrends, the forces inexorably shaping human events, molding them and morphing them in a thousand times a thousand ways until, perhaps, we see them ever more clearly with the passage of time. This life of observation, study, and research has molded me; it has made me who I am, in addition to the other normal experiences of life, the things we all enjoy, endure, relish, disdain, like, dislike, and love and hate--these things, the good and the bad, come with our existence in this world. But there is another side to it, it seems to me. It seems there must be something even greater than megatrends, and greater than this earthly life of positives and negatives, there has to be. One day there must be a final showdown with evil and a final resolution to humanity's collective problems as ominous as that sounds. Perhaps the Apocalypse is ultimately necessary. Frank Willard lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with his wife who is a teacher. Together they have a blended family of five children and their mates.

Book excerpt: When Jesus comes back at the Second Coming, He will provide us with Antigravity vehicles, teleportation, Super intelligent Robots, Memory Absorption machines that will allow us to put memory from computers directly into our brain (no more school), He will provide us with Spaceships, some 7000 miles long or just one mile long. Jesus will provide the medical cure for aging or wrinkles (women take note). Also He will give us Transmutation capability to change dirt or any substance to any other substance. We can take dirt and rearrange it into- food, tomatoes, bananas, meat or a one ton car.- Anything you want- Just ask Him. Jesus will give the nations universes to live in. United African Continent has already petitioned Him for 10 billion galaxies in this universe and a trillion universes in the Mega, Mega, universe. What will China, Russia, Vietnam, Iran, Japan etc petition Jesus when He comes back ? The Parallel futures of the White race , the Black race and the Asian race. They will all be given universes to live in by The God of Israel. Jesus was Melchizedec ( Heb 7). So He must have been King of Salem in Genesis. Jesus was also King over the Canaanites ! Satan has never been to hell and when he does go there at the Second coming it is to be beaten and thrown out of hell by the inhabitants thereof. (Is 14). The Bible says it took God Generations (Gen 2:4)- not just Seven days to create the earth. That means Evolutionists are right about the time span and method. Theologians misunderstood. God designed and guided Evolutionary process is correct. Generations is to be noted. Where is Jesus? Whatever happened to the end time war between Christians and the U.S.S.R.? Did you know during Moses plagues the God of Israel turned Satans nation to look like frogs, bugs and lice etc. What did you think real demons looked like? Read this book for more.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A companion series to the acclaimed Word Biblical Commentary. Finding the great themes of the books of the Bible is essential to the study of God's Word and to the preaching and teaching of its truths. These themes and ideas are often like precious gems: they lie beneath the surface and can only be discovered with some difficulty. While commentaries are useful for helping readers understand the content of a verse or chapter, they are not usually designed to help the reader to trace important subjects systematically within a given book a Scripture. The Word Biblical Themes series helps readers discover the important themes of a book of the Bible. This series distills the theological essence of a given book of Scripture and serves it up in ways that enrich the preaching, teaching, worship, and discipleship of God's people. Volumes in this series: Written by top biblical scholars Feature authors who wrote on the same book of the Bible for the Word Biblical Commentary series Distill deep and focused study on a biblical book into the most important themes and practical applications of them Give reader's an ability to see the "big picture" of a book of the Bible by understanding what topics and concerns were most important to the biblical writers Help address pressing issues in the church today by showing readers see how the biblical writers approached similar issues in their day Ideal for sermon preparation and for other teaching in the church Volumes in the Word Biblical Themes: 15-Volume Set include: Exodus by John I. Durham Joshua by Trent C. Butler 1 and 2 Kings by T. R. Hobbs 1 and 2 Chronicles by Roddy L. Braun Psalms by Leslie C. Allen Isaiah by John D. W.
