Book excerpt: Psychologist Hans Askenasy has put together the first comprehensive history of a subject combining violence, horror, and exotic customs. In Part One of his study, Dr. Askenasy gives a historical and geographic overview of humankind''s practice of and attitudes toward cannibalism. Part Two discusses motivational factors for cannibalism, including famines (natural and man-made), survival in extreme situations, magic, ritual, and madness. Among the people and events covered are the siege of Leningrad by the Nazis; the wreckage of the frigate Medusa; the Donner Party; the notorious nineteenth-century "Colorado Man-Eater," Alferd Packer; the Andes plane crash of 1972; Elizabeth Bathory (b. 1560), the "Vampire Lady of the Carpathians"; and Georg Haarmann, who ground up his victims and sold them as potted meat. In Part Three, "Cannibalism in Culture and Society," Askenasy addresses our continuing fascination with cannibals, man-eating witches, werewolves, and vampires in literature, myth, and the media, ranging from Francis Ford Coppola''s film version of Bram Stoker''s Dracula and Anne Rice''s Vampire Chronicles to the blood curdling events surrounding the cases of Issei Sagawa, Jeffrey Dahmer, and the Russian schoolteacher-turned torturer, Andrei Romanovitsch Chikatilo.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a personal memoir of my experiences of abuse in a secret Luciferian cult. Warning: this book contains graphic descriptions of sexual child abuse, perverse sex, Satanic Ritual Abuse, MK ULTRA mind control and torture. This book is only for adults and should be kept away from children. I felt that it was necessary to describe these experiences graphically to depict the wrongness of these child prostitution rings which are becoming so wide spread in our modern world. This book may be different than other books on SRA because of the unusual circumstances of my situation. Most people who get as close to the inner circle as I was don't live to tell the tale or they never escape the cult. My experiences may not be typical, but I do allow the reader to understand the emotional landscape of a child who is being brainwashed and sexually abused. I expose insider information about how child prostitution is involved with political and financial corruption. Persons who have read this story have told me that they have been moved by my honesty. This was a very difficult book to write. And threats have been made against me because I have published this. However it's my belief that ultimately the reader will find this to be a book that inspires hope rather than fear. I also talk about the courageous persons who helped me to escape the cult and become deprogrammed. And I talk some about the resistance movement that is working to undermine the satanic NWO. My intention in writing this book is that it be experienced as a story of spiritual redemption and liberation.

Book excerpt: Allegations of ritual abuse are universal and mental health professionals, theologians, law enforcers, scholars, victim advocates, and others struggle to comprehend the enormity of the devastation left in the wake of these heinous acts. Ritual Abuse in the Twenty-first Century addresses the concerns that naturally evolve from any discussion of this phenomenon from the perspectives of professionals, advocates, and survivors from around the world (eight countries, seven states in the U.S.) * How valid are the survivors' stories? * Is there evidence? * What are the consequences of these acts to the individual and society? * Why have these allegations been ignored or discredited whenever they have surfaced? The authors of these chapters respond to these and other questions in an effort to illustrate the constellation of psychological, health, legal, criminal, societal, and spiritual ramifications of ritual abuse. Chapters address current issues including ritually based crime, civil suits involving allegations of ritual abuse, that are universal. The value of understanding ritual trauma for diagnostic and treatment applications is discussed.

Around the world, humans are being trafficked, kidnapped, sold, and enslaved for the specific purpose of sacrifice. Mass-scale migration has seen these gruesome techniques exported from the land of the Aztecs and finding their way to the United States, Britain, and many other locations worldwide. Voodoo priests in London have been linked to ritual murders, and not long ago a Palo Mayombe priestess’s New York City apartment yielded its grisly secrets. One New Jersey investigator says that sacrificial rites are not only going on today, but can be traced back ninety years in the States alone. Jimmy Lee Shreeve takes us on a nightmare journey, following the initial investigations of Scotland Yard into the murder of a five-year-old boy whose torso was found floating in the Thames in 2001, and traveling to Africa to unveil a grim trade of exporting humans for sacrifice. He uncovers the dark side of voodoo and muti magic, linked with a score of sacrifices and murders, and in Mexico, finds a devotee of Palo Mayombe responsible for torturing his victims and boiling them in a cauldron. Along the way, Shreeve brings his own brand of offbeat detective skills to the fore, providing startling conclusions to some of the world’s most horrific murders. Brutal and disturbing, Human Sacrifice takes us into the dark world of twenty-first-century ritual murder.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1966, Anton LaVey introduced to the world the Church of Satan, an atheistic religion devoted to the philosophy of individualism and pitilessness often associated with Satan. Modern Satanism offers a comprehensive survey and analysis of the church that LaVey built. Satanism has been an open religion for forty years now and operates successfully in its self-created countercultural niche. Given the provocative nature of its name, contemporary Satanism is only superficially understood as an alternative religion/ideology, and all-too-frequently seen as a medieval superstition and associated with rumors of obscure rituals, perverse hedonism, cult-like behavior, and tales of ritual abuse and murder. These may be misconceptions, but the truth behind the unenviable reputation is no less dramatic. Satanism generally eschews supernatural beliefs and embodies a staunchly individualistic, pitiless, anti-egalitarian creed. If there is anything fundamentally diabolical about modern Satanism, it stems more from the echoes of Nazism in its theories than from its horror-comic trappings. Modern Satanism covers the history, ideology, personalities, and practices of the decentralized international movement that contemporary Satanism has become. The work addresses the various beliefs and practices espoused by those who follow it: the ideal of Satan as a rebellious emblem; Satanism's occult, literary, and philosophical influences; the history of the Church of Satan and other Satanic organizations; the ideology of Satanism; Satanism's frequent flirtations and strong parallels with neo-Nazism and other forms of extremism; Satanism in the media and popular culture; and the reasons for Satanism's continuing attractiveness to new converts. Though the tone of the work attempts to remain neutral when discussing historical matters, it is by necessity critical of the subculture's extremist rhetoric and recurring associations with the far right and racialist extremism.

Book excerpt: The Mechanical Universe Imagine a world where a majority of the people on the planet have been hypnotized. Imagine that virtually all the important world leaders have been hypnotized. In their hypnotized state they still do have a degree of functionality. They are not totally out of touch with reality, but their perception of the world is slightly amiss. They can still walk and talk. They still enjoy human relationships. They breathe, eat and drink. But their distorted perception causes them to act in ways that are destructive. Their distorted perception causes them to feel less joy in life. They are harming themselves, other people and the environment because of their distorted perception. And the basis of this distorted perception is that on a subconscious level of mind they have been programmed to believe themselves to be in a mechanical universe. Subconsciously they believe that they are surrounded by a giant machine. Subconsciously they believe that they are a machine within a machine. And these subconscious distortions are always there. On a conscious level of mind they are not aware of how they have been hypnotized. They have no conscious awareness of the fact that they are in a persistent hypnotic state. This is the nature of subconscious programming - the hypnotized person is simply not aware of the programming. This book is about deprogramming this mechanical universe. This book is unique, you won't find any other book on deprogramming that is quite like this one. I describe a system of mind control that was developed by other persons. These persons were former MK Ultra researchers who had become disillusioned with the CIA and the MK Ultra research program. So they began to covertly help those persons who were the victims of Satanic Ritual Abuse and MK Ultra. I'm the only person who is willing to publicly describe their system of therapy. I don't give advice on how to perform therapy, I only share information. In some cases the information comes from therapists who have treated MK Ultra and Monarch mind control. In this book I tell stories and share unique insights. I'm am a survivor of Satanic Ritual Abuse and some MK Ultra techniques. I want to give hope to other survivors who are trying to recover. And I want to give some new viewpoints for therapy to those who are trying to help recovering survivors. This book was written as a sequel of sorts to my two previous books: Angelic Defenders and Demonic Abusers - Memoirs of a Satanic Ritual Abuse Survivor, and Cannibalism, Blood Drinking & High Adept Satanism.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ghosts and other supernatural phenomena are widely represented throughout modern culture. They can be found in any number of entertainment, commercial, and other contexts, but popular media or commodified representations of ghosts can be quite different from the beliefs people hold about them, based on tradition or direct experience. Personal belief and cultural tradition on the one hand, and popular and commercial representation on the other, nevertheless continually feed each other. They frequently share space in how people think about the supernatural. In Haunting Experiences, three well-known folklorists seek to broaden the discussion of ghost lore by examining it from a variety of angles in various modern contexts. Diane E. Goldstein, Sylvia Ann Grider, and Jeannie Banks Thomas take ghosts seriously, as they draw on contemporary scholarship that emphasizes both the basis of belief in experience (rather than mere fantasy) and the usefulness of ghost stories. They look closely at the narrative role of such lore in matters such as socialization and gender. And they unravel the complex mix of mass media, commodification, and popular culture that today puts old spirits into new contexts.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Anthropology is the study of all humans in all times in all places. But it is so much more than that. "Anthropology requires strength, valor, and courage," Nancy Scheper-Hughes noted. "Pierre Bourdieu called anthropology a combat sport, an extreme sport as well as a tough and rigorous discipline. ... It teaches students not to be afraid of getting one's hands dirty, to get down in the dirt, and to commit yourself, body and mind. Susan Sontag called anthropology a "heroic" profession." What is the payoff for this heroic journey? You will find ideas that can carry you across rivers of doubt and over mountains of fear to find the the light and life of places forgotten. Real anthropology cannot be contained in a book. You have to go out and feel the world's jagged edges, wipe its dust from your brow, and at times, leave your blood in its soil. In this unique book, Dr. Michael Wesch shares many of his own adventures of being an anthropologist and what the science of human beings can tell us about the art of being human. This special first draft edition is a loose framework for more and more complete future chapters and writings. It serves as a companion to anth101.com, a free and open resource for instructors of cultural anthropology. This 2018 text is a revision of the "first draft edition" from 2017 and includes 7 new chapters.

Book excerpt: For more information about my books see www.KerthBarker.com I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I AM NOT A THERAPIST AND THAT I AM NOT GIVING ADVICE ON THERAPY IN THIS BOOK. This book is informational, and the information in it may be useful to therapists and to those persons recovering from Monarch Mind Control. But you the reader are solely responsible for what you do with this information. In 2014, I wrote and published a book called Mental Liberation in the Age of Thought Control. In it I described techniques used by Therapists to deprogram and heal MK Ultra and Satanic Ritual Abuse. Monarch Mind Control is the name of a system of mind control that evolved out of Satanic Ritual Abuse and the MK Ultra research program. As a result of my Mental Liberation book's publication, some therapists and survivors of Monarch Mind Control then contacted me and gave me feedback. Some had found my books useful. And some therapists explained to me their own techniques for helping the victims of Monarch Mind Control. Because of the hostile and covert nature of those organizations which practice Monarch Mind Control, the therapists who help recovering persons need to remain anonymous. So I was asked to take their feedback and publish it in one of my books so that they could remain anonymous. This book here on Overcoming Monarch Mind Control may not give you enough information in itself to conduct therapy. But it will give you unique information which you cannot find anywhere else. And if you are interested in how to recover from Monarch Mind Control or how to help others to recover, this book contains useful information. From it you can get a clearer idea of how Monarch Mind Control works and how a therapy system can be developed to help the victims of Monarch Mind Control. This book also briefly tells the story of some persons who have recovered from Monarch Mind Control. I have priced this book so that, if you include my expense in advertising, I don't really make any money from this book. I am publishing it because this information really needs to be put out into the public awareness at this time. Monarch Mind Control has been used on countless thousands of victims, most of who do not even know that they have been the victims of this mind control system. However, some persons have figured out that they have been victimized by this mind control technique, and such persons sometimes seek help from therapists. Many legitimate therapists are struggling to understand how they can help to treat such persons. Because the government and the mass media presently suppress all public knowledge of this phenomena, treating Monarch Mind Control is not taught to psychologists in Universities. So this book is designed to try to fill in the information gap. If you combine the information in this book with a knowledge of publicly known techniques for therapy, then an effective system of therapy for Monarch Mind Control will emerge. Also a victim of Monarch Mind Control may be able to read this book and get some idea of how to find a helpful therapist. Some persons who have a political interest in the nature of Monarch Mind Control may also find this book of interest. As Monarch Mind Control is so widespread, and because it has influenced the political events of our time in such a profound way, this book is a book that anyone should find of interest. I have limited resources to promote this book. So if you do purchase this book and find it useful, please do what you can to tell others about it. Thank You.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When Mao and the Chinese Communist Party won power in 1949, they were determined to create new, revolutionary human beings. Their most precise instrument of ideological transformation was a massive program of linguistic engineering. They taught everyone a new political vocabulary, gave old words new meanings, converted traditional terms to revolutionary purposes, suppressed words that expressed "incorrect" thought, and required the whole population to recite slogans, stock phrases, and scripts that gave "correct" linguistic form to "correct" thought. They assumed that constant repetition would cause the revolutionary formulae to penetrate people's minds, engendering revolutionary beliefs and values. In an introductory chapter, Dr. Ji assesses the potential of linguistic engineering by examining research on the relationship between language and thought. In subsequent chapters, she traces the origins of linguistic engineering in China, describes its development during the early years of communist rule, then explores in detail the unprecedented manipulation of language during the Cultural Revolution of 1966–1976. Along the way, she analyzes the forms of linguistic engineering associated with land reform, class struggle, personal relationships, the Great Leap Forward, Mao-worship, Red Guard activism, revolutionary violence, Public Criticism Meetings, the model revolutionary operas, and foreign language teaching. She also reinterprets Mao’s strategy during the early stages of the Cultural Revolution, showing how he manipulated exegetical principles and contexts of judgment to "frame" his alleged opponents. The work concludes with an assessment of the successes and failures of linguistic engineering and an account of how the Chinese Communist Party relaxed its control of language after Mao's death.
