This tragic event led to severe mental health problems that has existed in Horace's life for 32 years to date. It was in 1991 that on his return back to London and after seeing a consultant at SLAM he was diagnosed wit paranoid schizophrenia and hearing voices and seeing delusions, but with the help of treatment and medication, Horace is able to live a near normal life.
