Of those existing, some are too sumptuous for the traveller, and others are too bulky; some are too emotional, and some too sketchy; some ignore the fact that Burma has any geography, and others are mere inadequate guide-books. It is believed that the book now offered is of a handy size, and gives much information about most subjects of interest in Burma.
