Book excerpt: Today, the society is at a crossroads, spending billions of dollars on fixing drug addiction problems, teen pregnancy, and youth health-risk behaviors and violence but unable to accomplish the goals. Prevalence of ADHD, spectrum behaviors, explosive temper, bipolar disorder, violence everywhere, teen anxiety and depression, and drug abuse problems are still high. NIH data shows that 40% of eighteen- to thirty-four-year-olds have some mental health issues that need help. Dollars are spent when changes cannot happen. If the same money is spent in educating general masses through the community organizations on the brain synaptic proliferation for zero- to three-year-olds in their optimal intellectual, cognitive, personality development, we certainly can create a better world. We can prevent ADHD, autism-spectrum behaviors, learning disabilities, depression, and psychosomatic illnesses by preventing aversive pathways during development at zero to five years old. Every child born needs to live on their strengths and talents with self-confidence. The book discusses scientific facts on experiential neurodevelopment for physical, intellectual, psychological, social, and emotional health in childrens zero- to five-year development and gives a curriculum to parents on sensory nurturing and multisensory integration with no expensive toys or gadgets.

Book excerpt: The power of brain training through nurture using multisensory integration zero to three years and even up to five years of life is essential to prevent behavior and learning disorders, and youth health-risk behaviors. This book is a humanitarian contribution from the Society for Assistance International (SAI) and the SAI Institute of Educare, with the intention of preventing child trauma and consequent neurodevelopmental and physical disorders. This book is the result of my passion to reach out to all and ensure that every child is born to give something back to society. Every parent loves their progeny and wants to give them the best. I am certain that parents might have read thousands of books filled with suggestions on parenting techniques, regimental reward, and reactive limit-setting techniques. But awareness by parents of giving positive early experiences through nurture will help build holistic, intellectual, and effective personality development extracted from every newborn. A knowledgeable parent will seek an education that explains how to nurture and extract inherent potential from each newborn. They will be happy to move away from old theories on raising an infant and will eagerly self-educate to develop the skills to be an effective parent. There is one universal truth that differentiates humanity from the rest of creation. It is only in human beings that the five senses connect the individual to the world with the executive brain, which sits on the top of the eye sockets—orbits—and helps use discrimination and self-regulation to balance all the emotions.

Book excerpt: This Sathya Sai Educare Study Guide is a deeply spiritual, yet highly accessible compilation of Sathya Sai Baba's superlative teachings on education. It clarifies and emphasizes the unfathomable spiritual power that is innate within the human condition and presents an achievable process for living a successful and fulfilling human and spiritual life.Focusing on the universal human values of Truth, Right Action, Peace, Love, Nonviolence, this volume also provides the philosophical foundations for education in the highest sense of the word, and its practical application throughout all areas and phases of life. Practically speaking, the term Sathya Sai Educare refers to all educational processes aimed at helping humanity bring forth their innate qualities of essential human goodness. It recognizes that all life is sacred, connected, and interdependent, and acknowledges the scientific fact that we all share the same basic building blocks with everyone and everything that surrounds us. This knowledge can lead to the understanding that caring exclusively for ourselves and believing we are isolated and separate individuals is an illusion that can only lead to continued human disharmony and ecological disaster.According to Sathya Sai Baba: The word Educare has its origin in the Latin word, 'educare', which means 'to elicit.' Educare has two aspects, the worldly and the spiritual. Worldly education brings out the latent knowledge pertaining to the physical world. Spiritual education brings out the inherent divinity in man. So, both worldly education and spiritual education are essential, without which the human life has no value. In this approach to education a distinction is made between what has traditionally been conceived as 'education' and that which we refer to as 'Educare'. Sai Baba emphasized, "Real education is that which promotes unity, equality, and peaceful co-existence with fellow human beings. It flows from the heart, and is termed as 'Educare'." Therefore, he says, "Educare should be pursued along with what has usually been meant by education."Mahatma Gandhi's definition that "education is an all-around drawing out of the best in child and adult-body, mind, and spirit" demonstrates brilliant consistency with this point of view. Drawing out and experiencing the inherent human values in school and in the normal conduct of life naturally encourages and develops those qualities that lead to good character and all-around success. As a universal process of holistic human development, Sathya Sai Educare has been applied to a wide range of health care and social service programs currently operating in several countries throughout the world. However, when it is programmatically applied in classrooms, schools, homes, and communities, it is referred to as Sathya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV). Encouraging the practice of universal human values in schools and communities is the essential mission of the Sathya Sai Institute of Education-USA (ISSE-USA), a newly incorporated non-profit educational service organization based in California. ISSE-USA is one of 28 such Institutes currently in operation throughout the world. July, 2013

Book excerpt: Started in 1958, Sanathana Sarathi is a monthly magazine devoted to Sathya (Truth), Dharma (Righteousness), Shanti (Peace) and Prema (Love) - the four cardinal principles of Bhagawan Baba's philosophy. It is published from Prasanthi Nilayam (the Abode of Highest Peace) and acts as a mouthpiece of Baba's Ashram as it speaks of the important events that take place in His sacred Abode, besides carrying Divine Messages conveyed through Divine Discourses of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The word meaning of Sanathana Sarathi is the 'Eternal Charioteer'. It signifies the presence of the Lord in every being as the atma guiding their lives like a charioteer. It implies that he who places his life, the body being likened to a chariot, in an attitude of surrender in the hands of the Lord, will be taken care of by the Lord even as a charioteer would take the occupant of his chariot safely to its destination. The magazine is an instrument to disseminate spiritual knowledge for the moral, physical and mental uplift of humanity without any discrimination as the subject matter discussed therein is always of common interest and of universal appeal. The fifteen Vahinis - streams of sacredness - known as the Vahini Series comprising annotation and interpretation of the Upanishads and other scriptures, Itihasas like the Ramayana, the Bhagavatha and the Mahabharata, and authentic explanations on Dhyana, Dharma, Prema, etc., have been serially published in this magazine as and when they emanated from the Divine pen of Bhagawan Baba. This magazine is published in almost all Indian languages, English and Telugu from Prasanthi Nilayam and others from respective regions. Every year Sanathana Sarathi comes out with a special issue in November commemorating the Divine Birthday. The English and Telugu magazines are posted on the 10th and 23rd respectively, of every month, from Prasanthi Nilayam. This magazine has wide, ever increasing circulation in India as well as abroad, as the study of it brings the reader closer to the philosophy of the Avatar in simple understandable language THUS SPAKE SAI... Discoursing during the launch of Sanathana Sarathi... From this day, our Sanathana Sarathi will lead to victory the cohorts of truth - the Vedas, the Sastras and similar scriptures of all faiths, against the forces of the ego such as injustice, falsehood, immorality and cruelty. This is the reason why it has emerged. This Sarathi will fight in order to establish world prosperity. It is bound to sound the paean of triumph when universal Ananda is achieved.

This book was released on 2016-03-16 with total page 687 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Akshaya Patra series is written as a book to augment books of philosophical inquiry; and to assist true inquiry in such a way, so as to inspire the Mysteries that unfold on the path of initiation. Let us begin by breaking bread together, by this first step, that we may destroy the tome of ignorance with that first principle in prayer saying; "A house that is loved is always satisfied." This house is the Temple of Self; inspired by life and the touch of nature, the Akshaya Patra throughout is filled with inner depth and determination. These first works of the Akshaya Patra, were inspired by, and dedicated to, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, whose influence was, and still is, too vast for words; and whose love has satisfied the genius in this Tomb and Tome of Time. This first book of Volume ONE begins, with the features of introductory, for taking the earliest footsteps, on the path of sacred life; dedicated to Self-Transformation. As a Tree of Knowledge is planted, its roots fan out thru many traditions, and its branches stretch to provide shelter and protection over all. Its leaves call for all to come and take their share of comfort beneath the shadows in its shade; delighted and lighted by the sun by day, and with night fascinated to discover the ringlets of the moon and stars that gave first light in the residence of space. We are THAT Time, we are that Space; we are that Consciousness. "Tat Twam Asi" ... the pursuant in pursuant search, in the sea, of supreme reality. Self-Mastery is a personal journey and there is only one friend; and that is the sacred messenger, who comes to life as the resident within. There are many years involved in coming to this writing of the Akshaya Patra Series. The examinations here have taken us to this first place in the writing; that is nothing more than the satisfaction of ethical journey, working forward from the true beginning. There are many more volumes and books to follow for us, in order to reach our destination in this vast work of self-transformation. Are we ready? Are we deserving? We have been fooled by fools maybe, and we are, or are we, the fools to dream that we are more than this fool we have come to be. We come to this knowing that we have not come to terms with our true identity. Maybe we have fed ourselves unwisely, and only broken bread that is dry, tasteless, and come unsatisfied, from drink before a shallow empty well. The Akshaya Patra Volume ONE Book ONE; entitled Manasa Bhajare: Worship in the Mind; means to satisfy. The Mind will be the first portal passed; before transitioning thru its own death and resurrection. It is here in this first book of Volume ONE that we are first entertained; breaking down our traditions that take shape into something immaterial but tangible. In all, Volume ONE alone will consist of nine books. More to be published. This is Book ONE. Seven Volumes are written and every day these are maturing waiting for release. Currently there are hiding behind this Volume ONE Book ONE about 17 books written... It is to unfold the culmination of a lifetime of work. Each Volume evolves thru seven stages of Initiation; as if passing thru seven days labor on the path towards liberation. In this it is like the Bhagavata. Our purpose, objective and ends may be summed up in the advice given in these words of Sai Baba: (True knowledge) instructs you to reform yourself first. After transforming yourself, try to reform others. That is the advice offered by Vidya (True Knowledge). The delusive attachment to the objective world can be uprooted by means of selfless service rendered as worship to the Lord. Genuine devotion is characterized by LOVE FOR ALL, at all times, everywhere. Sai Baba

Book excerpt: Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba wrote a series of articles under the Vahini series, for Sanathana Sarathi, a monthly magazine being published by Sri Sathya Sai Sadhana Trust, Publications Division, Prasanthi Nilayam. These precious articles are brought out now, under the title “Geeta Vahini”, in this book, for the benefit of readers. This is not a commentary or summary of the divine message that was given by Lord Krishna to Arjuna. It conveys the same message in a simpler form to us, in order to remove our delusion and confer faith and strength on us, so that we may realise our own reality. Bhagawan says, “Drawing on the Divine that is inherent in us is the lesson of Geeta… Arjuna is the jiva and Krishna is the Deva. When both are in contact, impregnable might results… Krishna had to work in and through Arjuna, so that the reign of Dharma (righteousness) is re-established. Arjuna means white, pure, unblemished. Hence, he is the proper instrument.” We too can become proper instruments in restoring Dharma, if we follow the lessons that Bhagawan teaches through this book.

This book was released on 2014-07-09 with total page 231 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bhagawan has announced Himself as the Divine Teacher of Truth, Beauty, and Goodness. By precept and example, through His writings and discourses, letters and conversations, He has been instilling the supreme wisdom and instructing all mankind to translate it into righteous living, inner peace, and universal love. When the Ramakatha Rasavahini, the uniquely authentic, nectarine stream of the Rama’s story, was serialised in full in the Sanathana Sarathi, Bhagawan blessed readers with a new series, which He named Bharatiya Paramartha Vahini (The Stream of Indian Spiritual Values). While these precious essays, on the basic truths that foster and feed Indian culture since ages before history began, were being published, Bhagawan decided to continue the flow of illumination and instruction under a more comprehensive and meaningful name, Sathya Sai Vahini - the Ganga from the Lotus Feet of the Lord - “The Flow of Divine Sai Grace”. This book, therefore, contains the two Vahinis that have merged in one master stream. Inaugurating these series, Bhagawan wrote for publication in the Sanathana Sarathi, “Moved by the urge to cool the heat of conflict and to quench the agonising thirst for ‘knowledge about yourself’ that you are afflicted with, see, here it comes, the Sathya Sai Vahini, wave behind wave, with the Sanathana Sarathi as the medium between you and Me.” With infinite compassion, this Sathya Sai incarnation of the Omniwill is giving millions of persons in all lands freedom from disease, distress, and despair, narcotics, narcissism, and nihilism. He is encouraging those, who suffer gloom through wilful blindness, to light the Lamp of Love in order to see the world and the Lamp of Wisdom to see themselves. “This is a tantalising, true-false world. Its apparent diversity is an illusion. It is One, but is cognised by the maimed, multiple vision of humans as Many,” says Bhagawan. This book is the twin Lamp He has devised for us.
