It is always different when you have experienced the hard grind and difficulty of going through an NBA season, and then you try to preach it to players that are also trying to carve out their NBA careers. Some of the more successful players turned NBA coaches include the 11-time NBA champion coach Phil Jackson, who was part of the 1972-73 championship roster of the New York Knicks. He would soon become an assistant for the Chicago Bulls in the 80's before he took the reins as the head coach and won six titles for them in the 90's. He then would win five more titles for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2000's era. Many other former NBA players that have found themselves coaching teams in the big league.
