After being abducted from her family as a child, she was sent to live in the Institute, where she was trained to harness her gift for evil purposes. But when her captors hatch a plot that could threaten the world, Autumn vows to use her gift for good. Armed with her promise to save the world, she escapes from the Institute bent on saving mankind. And then she runs into Tucker Mitchell. Tucker knows there's something different about Autumn. He just can't shake her. And when he finds himself helping her battle strange creatures, rescuing her from drowning, and busting her out of hospitals, he knows there's something she's not telling him. Book Synopsis Queer Ink: A Blotted History Towards Liberation by : Katherine Hubbard
Download or read book Queer Ink: A Blotted History Towards Liberation written by Katherine Hubbard and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-06-26 with total page 154 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This historical interdisciplinary book contextualises the Rorschach ink blot test and embeds it within feminist action and queer liberation. What do you see when you look at an ink blot? The Rorschach ink blot test is one of the most famous psychological tests and it has a surprisingly queer history. In mapping this history, this book explores how this test, once used to detect and diagnose ‘homosexuality’, was later used by some psychologists and activists to fight for gay liberation. In this book the author uses the test in yet another way, as a lens through which we can reveal a queer feminist history of Psychology. By looking closely at the lives and work of some women psychologists and activists it becomes clear that their work was influenced by their own, often queer, lives. By tracing the lives and actions of women who used, were tested with, or influenced by, the Rorschach, a new kind of understanding of gay and lesbian history in Britain is revealed. Pushing at the borders between Psychology, Sociology, and activism, the book utilises the Rorschach to show how influential the social world is on scientific practice. This is fascinating reading for anyone interested in the history of sexuality and Psychology.

Download or read book Debunked? written by Joseph Fried and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2022-12-12 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Perhaps no issue in America has been more polarizing than the 2020 Presidential election. On one side there are claims of a “stolen” election, foreign infiltration of election equipment, middle-of-the-night ballot dumps, and impossible mathematical anomalies. On the other side, everything is dismissed as “baseless,” “debunked,” and “conspiratorial.” This controversy goes directly to the integrity of our vote, a topic that should interest and concern us all. Yet despite the importance of this controversy, very little objective analysis is available, and there is a reason. Some people are afraid to touch this subject. A careless comment could cause the loss of friends, business, and even employment. Debunked? fearlessly fills this void—with facts. Written by a veteran auditor, it provides a reasoned, in-depth examination of the many controversies in the election, including: Dominion Voting Systems The “Kraken” lawsuits Missing signature standards Mike Lindell Drop boxes Cyber irregularities Mail-in ballots Ballot harvesting Illegal certifications Noncitizen voting Without a doubt, the most controversial section of the book is the detailed and quantified analysis of the election in each of 6 swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. For each of those states, the decision to certify the election is given a thumbs up—or down. Conclusions are fully supported. The sanctity of our vote could easily be considered the key footing in the foundation of our democracy. But, given the extreme censorship of this subject, the public is largely unaware of the issues in this book. Reading it provides important insights into one of the key controversies of our age and should, perhaps, encourage us all to demand that our votes are considered sacrosanct.
