Book Synopsis Biblical Principles of Prayer by : Joel Church
Download or read book Biblical Principles of Prayer written by Joel Church and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2005-04 with total page 221 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Biblical Principles of Prayer challenges you to experience new levels of prayer that will affect every area of your life. Living a life conducive to receiving--means laying aside personal desires and egotistical values that are in direct contrast with His will. The church that prays--There are about 25,000 denominations--every one of them believing that they have the right answer and the most accurate hermeneutics. Prayer and the Bible--the pioneers of modern science--modern science is thousands of years behind when it comes to the issue of health. The issue of prayer in school--Christians are quick to jump on the "prayer in school" bandwagon, but do you really want it back as it was? Biblical Principles of Prayer will compel you to revisit the way you pray. It will show you how to have dunamis (dynamite) power in your prayers. Have you ever wanted to be a pray-er who really sees results? Dr. Church, who in 1998 was healed from a very rare type of cancer, understands what it means to appreciate authoritative prayer. Buzz words and powerless mechanical discourses are of little value when you are facing death.

Book Synopsis With Christ in the School of Prayer by : Andrew Murray
Download or read book With Christ in the School of Prayer written by Andrew Murray and published by Aneko Press. This book was released on 2019-01-01 with total page 255 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book has been written with a deep impression that the place and power of prayer in the Christian life is too little understood. I feel sure that as long as we look on prayer solely as the means of maintaining our own Christian life, we shall not know fully what it is meant to be. But when we learn to regard it as the highest part of the work entrusted to us, the root and strength of all other work, we shall see that we need nothing more than to study and practice the art of praying. If I have succeeded in pointing out the progressive teaching of our Lord in regard to prayer, and the distinct reference of His wonderful promises of His last night to the works we are to do in His name – to the greater works and the bearing of much fruit – we shall all admit that only when the church gives herself up to this holy work of intercession can she expect the power of Christ to manifest itself on her behalf. I pray that God will use this book to explain to some of His children the wonderful place of power and influence that He is waiting for them to occupy and that a weary world is waiting for too. - Andrew Murray

It can be read individually and in a group study. Each of the twelve chapters includes tough questions for contemplation and discussion that will challenge you and help you grow in your faith. Erik does a thorough work of reminding us of the importance of allowing ourselves to be transformed and that an awesome God includes us in His purposes as part of His kingdom. Excerpt from foreword by Pastor Phil Scott, Regional Director, Allegheny Region Conference of the Churches of God Eriks approach is not theological or academic. Rather, he takes a unique look at the Model Prayer with a desire for discovery. I found it most refreshing. Enjoy and be inspired. John O. Yoder, BA, Pastor and Church Planter

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All of these seven principles are important and practical for born-again believers. We must seek God daily for direction, wisdom, understanding, and revelation. Everything we have comes from the goodness of God. God is a giver, and we must be also. We must strive to emulate him and his nature. God’s word is true, and if we apply his word to our lives, we will have good success. Obeying is key. We must submit to the things of God and what he has already established. Seeking God and his righteousness we will not go wrong. We are a chosen people created for great exploits. We are to do mighty things for the Kingdom of God. Support the work of the ministry, be generous, and trust God, no matter what. Live a faithful life and pass it on to the next generation. Leave a legacy of faith and righteousness. I pray that if you are a new believer that you will take these simple and practical tools and apply them to your daily life as you grow in your walk with the Lord. For those of you who may have been in the body of Christ for some time, my prayer is that these seven biblical principles will enhance your walk with Christ. There are only seven principles listed here. As you are growing in the image of God, you will adopt more of his principles such as giving, honesty, and serving. You are already fully equipped with what you need to be victorious and successful as a Christ like individual. Develop your gifts. Seek his guidance daily, submit each day to him and all that you aspire to do. He will lead you by his spirit in the path that you should take. Include him. Remember, anything that he’s not in dies. Consult with him even in the seemingly small and insignificant things. He wants to be a part of it all. I pray that this helps and encourages your life. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
