This book was released on 1988 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A survey of patient's attitudes towards physician assistants was conducted during the spring of 1988. The 194 patients whose attitudes were analyzed were members of a 65,000 member staff model HM00 in metropolitan Milwaukee who had visited one of that organization's physician assistants in their practice. The findings indicate that physician assistants are successful in demonstrating attitudes of friendliness and competency to all their patients, regardless of the patient's age, sex, race, occupation, educational level, or number of visits to a particular health center. In addition, patients have diminished perceptions of physician assistants' friendliness when the number of visits by the patient range from 6 to 10 visits. The results indicate that when a patient's health care is being managed by a team of primary care specialists (i. e., a team of physicians and physician assistants) there is an optimum time that the role of the physician assistant should be explained to the patient. The patient's care is best when the triangle of allegiance between the doctor, the physician assistant, and the patient is cultivated with good education about the roles of each.

Medical technicians work in laboratories, respond and perform basic lifesaving procedures during medical emergencies, or specialize in medical record keeping and health care information access. Which medical technician career is right for you? The young adults of today will be the job force of tomorrow, so choosing a career that will best fit with the needs of the changing world will be important to job satisfaction and a successful life. With the vast array of career and job options, it will also be important for young adults to understand which work will be the best match for their interests, talents, goals, and personality types. Certain careers are expected to gain importance within the early decades of the twenty-first century. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of jobs for medical technology is expected to increase much faster than the average rate for all occupations. If you are interested in becoming a medical technician, it is never too early to start learning your options or to begin gaining experience.
