Kinderarmut in Deutschland“ entschieden, da ich bereits eine Ausbildung zur staatlich anerkannten Erzieherin absolviert habe und auch während meiner zwei Praktika, im Rahmen des Studiums, sehr viel mit Kindern und deren unterschiedlichen Lebenssituationen konfrontiert worden bin. Der Aspekt der Kinderarmut war und ist immer wieder präsent gewesen. Gerade die Arbeit im Kinder- und Frauenschutzhaus in Ravensburg, hat die verschiedenen Formen und Folgen der Kinderarmut partiell zum Vorschein gebracht. Immer mehr Minderjährige in der Bundesrepublik wachsen in Armut auf. Da Kinder und auch Jugendliche mittlerweile diejenige Altersgruppe bilden, die am häufigsten und stärksten davon betroffen ist, sprechen Sozialwissenschaftler/innen seit einigen Jahren von einer sogenannten „Infantilisierung“ der Armut. Dass es in Deutschland arme Kinder gibt, wurde lange Zeit offiziell totgeschwiegen. Deshalb ist es mir sehr wichtig, mich mit dieser Thematik, in Form meiner schriftlichen Hausarbeit, näher auseinander zusetzen. Dabei ist vor allen Dingen der sozialpolitische Kontext und die Maßnahmen der Sozialpolitik gegen das stetige Wachstum der Kinderarmut in Deutschland eine bedeutende Komponente. Da ich mich noch stärker politisch engagieren möchte und ich nach meinem Studium mit Kindern und deren Familien in irgendeiner Form arbeiten möchte, ist die Motivation mich intensiver mit diesem Thema zu beschäftigen besonders stark.
